Fair. I trust you more on Lily reads tbh. Interesting Stick went the other way. TUO i am a god or rather: the space faeries told me
-
? ngl i just asked because i sort of bet on your train of thought either in my GM PM or with Araris before the night ended and I kind of wanna see if I was right >:P
-
Does this mean you felt Stick's entrance into the game wasn't very Village? (You implied as much when you made your claim.) Why so? Honestly it was the first time I was excited to see Spiked in my PM. In a manner of speaking. The first time was "ffs you mean I have to pick someone and pray they're not Evil or 3p?" "ffs Drakebro you had one job why'd you have to send me back to Spiking hell" "lol thanks Drake, im Village for real now " Can you spell this out more? (Yeah sorry just got back on com.) You lose if you Village-side so that makes no sense. You wouldn't know if you were swapped and your previous statement implies that you only just realised you might have been swapped so that doesn't really jive...
-
Poor RBM. I'm getting flashbacks to you being swapped already and having to wait for wiw to get online smh. Why'd you target me anyway? I feel less confident adjudicating between TUO and Coffee because I kind of think it's in both their play ranges and one or two of Coffee's posts just remind me of SK Coffee fakeclaiming. But I don’t feel strongly. Edited to add: If Stick and Aet are just a kandra-for-Kelsier swap potentially, then does that make TUO/Coffee just a highly suicidal Ministry member? Because ccing here is weird — getting a Villager off the exe list feels weird as a choice? I'm trying to understand this play as coming from non-Kelsier/non-Kandra players but it's weird.
-
Yes but it's the one I feel is most practicable to ignore unless the Seeker or Drunk saw the role on the discard pile because that's a risk for basically everyone in the game anyway. Village cannot treat that as reason to do nothing. If neither of them found anything useful then there's no point in borrowing trouble. Edited to add: False Seeker plays have more value here due to the 96-hour format so I feel that even a Seeker claim you scanned red could feel dubious depending on the context. I would not ignore it and having that info is better than not having it but I think people have to internalise that in this format, today is lylo.
-
If you're not a Drunk then it only matters if Coffee is the actual HT no? Since TUO didn't claim to target you and I can't see my results making sense with external targeting on Drake's part. If Coffee is the actual HT then your role and alignment depend on Stick's, with the usual caveats. Edited to add: Alternatively, welcome to ONW, it's wild

Mostly for Drake's benefit since I should be sleeping and he'll be one hecking confused murderhusky when he logs in: I'll add that the reason I immediately asked Drake who he targeted was because I picked Drake, ended up a Rebel Spiked, and then figured I should Spike Drake again because in the world he targeted a Villager, it gives me three players I can believe are Village barring HT shenanigans, and I thought that was a great result to go into the Day with, even if convincing everyone else of it would be the harder pull. It would have been painful if he had Spiked Kelsier but largely since Rebel Spiked was a Village role, I felt it was alright to care more about helping V!me out than K!me. I think E!me benefits too but anyway, irrelevant. Also because I figured I should trust him to not screw me over by Spiking an Elim >> As it turned out, the most likely results from my inquiries with CadCom are that he Spiked me or didn't send in an action, and I prefer to think we just did a weird shuffle squat dance and Spiked each other last night in an ouroboros of "why are you like this." But I was so damned worried I'd hit Kelsier or an Elim, especially when I realised I had to pick yet another person to play role roulette with, so I take this as an absolute win
-
Same c/p woes: I'll recolour when not on mobile. We know three of these roles are NPCs. Immediate cc from TUO suggests to me one of Kandra Spy/Kelsier is probably in play as I think the Elims don't want to risk activation of a Hazekiller here? It does assume people read the rules though. Which...yeah. Edited to add: If one of Stick/RBM is the Oracle, things get more messy/fun here depending on your POV.
-
They beat you to saying it out yeah. @Coffeecat Why Stick and Aet?
-
If your alignments are different, aren't you both screwed Only one of you can win. Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be ever in your favour! If TUO is telling the truth, yeah. If he isn't, then you may or may not have been swapped. Edited to add: @Aeternum, are you corroborating TUO or Coffee or neither?
-
I think we really want to track the role and action claims where possible because inconsistencies will help us here. On further reflection, since Kelsier needs to get exed, I think we could potentially differentiate Kelsier's behaviour as that's not ideal for the Ministry either. The caution is that we don't know if Kelsier is really in play as there are also NPC roles. So the voting issue is a bit more beleaguered. As far as I recall, Stick claimed Kelsier in a throwaway possible joke, you claimed VT, I claimed Rebel Spiked and that Drake is Rebel Spiked too, and both Coffee and TUA claim HT. In addition, LightRinger suggests a role that interacter with Aet's. @The Unknown Order Why those choices?
-
Both Kelsier and the Kandra Spy have an incentive here to cc. If we think this is happening, then shooting outside this pool may be better for us. But then we have a problem if every Ministry worker starts trying this to avoid the exe. Prima facie, both TUA and Coffee are aggressive enough I could see them trying it. From your POV, this is fine. From my POV, I'm just really glad I didn't target you last Night if you're Evil or Kelsier...
-
Wow, and just as I said it, here comes our first cc of the day
-
I'm of the view you weigh discussion time with reaction test. I was being a bit cagey earlier too wrt claiming Drake because I felt I wanted to see his reaction, but asking CadCom all the questions convinced me that Drake is just Village barring subsequent Hemalurgic Troublemaker shenanigans so there's nothing to be gained from waiting. Basically: people need time to consider whether you seem truthful etc. But your reasoning for holding it back a bit seems fair. Minimally maybe wait until the 12 hour mark? 24 if you want to be traditional. Edited to add: Given the distro, in a full claim world we are going to have ccs left, right, and centre so I feel this is something we are going to just need to accept and budget for in terms of time to think things through. I sort of feel the early here is a good sign but this is based largely on my view of SE Elims in general and Coffee does play BotC.
-
Theoretically yeah sorry Drakebro as this should count as outing you but also, well. I was not thrilled at the thought of more husky screm
-
I'd say depends on your alignment but in general it's a good idea if you are town/Rebel/Village-aligned because roles are unique and we win or lose based on today's vote, by and large. Since Aet's here, Aet's opinion does factor yeah. Off the top of my head, if the Elims have been keeping to CadCom's request not to share action plans, this feels like soft corroboration? Which is good I think. Alright. As far as I can tell having asked CadCom way more questions than is healthy, Drake should also be a Rebel Spiked. In which case my sitting on it and waiting for Drake to come won't be as useful as I expect.
-
Presuming no useful results to share?
-
To be honest it's a tad more complicated than that. Hence the asterisks. The oddness is that I should not be told if someone spiked me, as the rule text indicates. I've been trying to understand from CadCom how this result is therefore possible.
-
Mobile hates cross-thread posting huh. I ended up with this card after the Night.
-
There's a functional VT role yeah. I'm claiming it with an asterisk because of a weird result that I'm trying to clarify with CadCom. Once I understand it, I'll be more forthcoming. If someone switched my role or anything, that would be awkward and I'd have to go on pause while working out my new alignment. And as there are no RBs and redirects in this game, why do you claim you were messed with? Edited to add: Sorry LightRinger — RB = roleblock.
-
There's one vt role. It's not you.
-
Has anyone so far, including yourself? I suppose I tacitly have by voting Aet. Edited to add: Honestly my only excuse here is I'm waiting for CadCom to clarify something before getting too excited/confused.
-
I think in general it depends on whether there's a standard mafia equivalent. Vt feels like the one you're most likely to see. Scanner might be called cop if people are trying to bring MU terms to SE again I do not regret my vote. Chuck this liar and blasphemer off the damn mountain
-
This is ONW. Call it mafia again and get Sparta-kicked off the mountain
-
So is lying smh Edited to add: If it's the confusing you with Aeo, I own my sin I seem to remember she had a dragon pfp at some point and my brain was like "ok that's Aeo"
