Alekhine's dictum. We have to try, and if you were a Villager, you'd understand the need to do your best even if the outcome is a foregone conclusion. ....This becomes an awkward statement though because neither of us are Village.

Honestly I just woke up, it's 1.30AM, and I'm fighting off the sedative effect of heavy painkillers. I guess if there's ever a game to Just Do It, it's this one Fair warning!

They outed themselves at the end of D5 with a hammer and have been openwolfing since. If you are a Villager and vote on Karn, we can at least try to block the voteswing hammer.

Don't believe that the kakuno has an available clip, but it's a good choice—insanely value-for-money, in my view. The paper looks good too. I'm more a syringe than pipette guy but I have friends who prefer the pipette, yeah. (This might be short as I just woke up with a headache.)

So, let's look at the numbers. We went into last Night on 9-3 (presumably) - I'm just counting myself with the Village because as far as the Elim win con is concerned, I'm another player to be outnumbered or killed. Currently, we're 7-3 - a ML today will put us at 6-3. I further also think these two things are true: A. they wouldn't have hammered if we would simply outvote them today, and B. if they had extra NKs, it would have been used last Night as there is no functional point in staggering it. Several possibilities to look at (by no means mutually exclusive): A. There is a sixth Elim (fourth prowler.) I scanned Sart and xino last Night, and checked STINK. STINK looks a bit more clean, Sart and xino didn't target anyone. But the sixth Elim probably would not have put in kills anyway, since the point of the prowler is to not be identified. This means we are actually 6-4, and become 5-4 after a ML today, and at least 4-4 after the Night. B. Araris's kill was cadmium-delayed - we were meant to see a third kill. I say this because Walin likely successfully struck with cadmium last Night. C. D6 7-3 -> N6 6-3 -> D7 5-3 -> N7 4-3 I doubt this. This is too complicated a path to victory for it to feasibly be their gameplan. I think this much is true: we have to concentrate all voting firepower on Karn today if we want to win. I'm okay with a different target but any consolidated train not going on an outed Elim is folly and will immediately hand them lynch control instead of forcing them to burn for it. Players with chromium should hit a Elim with it, electrum players should burn it, and anyone with cadmium, PM me as we need to deconflict cadmium strikes. Please do not claim in thread - we don't want to give the Hazekiller a target. Edited to add: Holy chull I just realised what's going on here :joy: @Araris Valerian you utter madlad. If you all want to vote for another Elim, let's settle this before the halfway mark. We can't afford to split the vote right now. Even if it's dubious we can quite make it. 2. Anyone with chromium, hit an Elim with it. 3. Anyone with electrum, burn it. This will stop vote manip. No point talking about saving it - it's more important that we avoid if possible a ML this cycle and take down an Elim first. 4. Anyone with cadmium, PM me - we need to deconflict cadmium strikes. 5. Please remember to take a useful item from the Stockpile! Items are essential to us doing things and the Elims will be grabbing items so we have to as well. Last Night was awful for us, but again - I am a student of the school of Alekhine. They want to win this game? Cool. Let's make them earn it every single Turn

Let's take a quick look at the delta: N5: D6: Delta: Net delta of +12; Metallurgist informed me the delta was +6. My best guess/candidates for items that were added via Drake and Walin: Walin burned Cadmium, which came before the kill, and had one Brass left. Let's suppose his killer obtained his Brass. Drake had 1 Duralumin, 1 Steel, 1 Bendalloy, a craptonne of Brass, and that's about it, as far as I recall. So Copper, Electrum, and Zinc were likely added by the Metallurgist, along with the Shade Gun. It's hard to pin down which of the two were also added by the Metallurgist, but as the remainder is consistent with Drake's inventory, pretty open and shut that Drake got Hazekilled, in my book. Does this really matter? Well - for one, Alekhine's dictum. And for another - hic est locus ubi mors gaudet succurrere vitam.

I firmly believe it's: A. Often a problem with neutral design B. A reason why some neutrals turn to manipulating both factions - it just became going decaffeinated Village in my case because seven years of Village dies hard. Survival complained about it in AG7 because there's just little reason to interact with the rest of the game, but then you get bored easily. FYI that I don't think it's a problem with this game specifically, I'm talking about general issues facing neutrals. If dying for the right to chill and to develop a healthier attitude in SE is where it's at, I am proud to stand and die for this

No kidding. I tried chilling. D1 was great! So much chill and trolling! But it drove me wild. It was like the Die Hard scene where Hans Gruber was talking about Alexander weeping because there were no worlds left to conquer. I didn't have to do analysis! But I wanted to. And the state of the D2 Village thread could make a kel weep. More chill is good, never believe anything else :eyes:

I'm fairly certain last Night broke us, but I am obligated to do my best for Village until rollover. So, are you volunteering? I mean, sure, Araris looks pretty Evil, but for old times' sake, I'm ignoring him. After all, as I had been arguing all D5, the implication from E!Bip to E!Araris is stronger, therefore we must follow the logical order when exeing :eyes:

Karn. Reads to me like Drake was Hazekiller-blocked and then killed, though I imagine the Metallurgist's restock (thank you!) did muddy the waters somewhat. Will do the analysis in a bit. To be really honest, given what Drake had, I don't see a serious tactical difference at this point, so I flipped a coin between Bip and Karn and the coin said to go for Karn, so Karn it is. Best shot last Night was for Walin to use cadmium and Drake to use steel and bendalloy. From the bendalloy numbers and the fact Drake died and I see steel, I'm assuming he got Hazekiller-blocked - cadmium would not have prevented this unless we double-tapped the cadmium guy. Other alternative of course is that our second cadmium player is Evil, which is also entirely possible. But for now, Karn. Edited to add: Sorry, I'm tired - cadmium would not have prevented this unless Drake was double-tapped with cadmium and killed.

Nearly had to pull out due to other commitments. If, as it looks like, the will of the majority is for 1PM Saturday, please expect extra kasyana on top of existing kasyana, and low analysis, and probably at points, incoherent swearing. ...I think I can still do this if I rejuggle my sleep schedule since I was initially supposed to report at 5AM but this is uh. I should note that 1PM EST is 2AM for me and this is expected to go on for several cycles so uh :eyes:

Here's the brief summary: This is likely lylo Night, with actual lylo tomorrow. We have a very small chance of stopping the Elims here and making them bleed for disrespecting us with that early hammer As such: -Check your PMs, please. -If you're a Villager, please put in an item order to take <chromium, electrum, cadmium> from the Stockpile - your pick as to which of these you want. Any of these items will allow us to stop the Elims from vote-manipulating us to hell and back tomorrow. -Bip, Araris, and Karn have outed themselves as Elims. There is a possibility of a fourth Elim prowler.
