Because I have a sever case of avoidfads&mainstreamism.

I've resisted creating one of these for a loooooooooong time, but now that her royalness Delightfull has one and most of my other sharder friends have had one for a long time, I've decided that I may as well create one. Honestly I doubt at this point if anyone's still paying to much attention to these threads, but I suppose ya'll can try and prove me wrong.

There was a cosmere themed Trek rp in the social clans area, it hasn't been active since before I got here though.

There were some threads a while back on the topic, but I'm too lazy to look them up at the moment. L.E. Modesitt's Imager and Corean Crhonicles are both good and are somewhat like a milder Mistborn in terms of content. I've only read one book by Mercedes Lackey, but I enjoyed it and it was clean, and she has written a tooooooon. There's David Farland's Runelord series, I didn't like it past book one, and it's about Warbreaker on content. Shannara series is clean, somewhat a classic, but again I didn't like them very much. Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn was a fantastic trilogy by Tad Williams with a little in book 2(?) that was Warbreaker ish content. There's also Terry Pratchett's discworld series, the books are amazing, start with Guards! Guards! or Mort.

Currently reading Confucius Lives Next Door by T.R. Reid, and just checked Going Postal out from my library.

Well, that was far far better than 2 or 3, that's for sure. As good as 1 though?......nawh. Without going into any detail, I have to say that almost every single character was a complete idiot. I don't mean that in a survival situation I'd make different better choices, the business characters seem to have no management or people skills, the guys with guns think with their guns, and the boys.....well I guess they were fairly normal really. Pratt's character was easily the best, and as I haven't seen him in anything else, there's much less bias there. The dinosaurs were really amazing, the park making me want to go there desperately, the hark-backs heart-warming, and yeah, anything not to do with human intelligence was fantastic. Still not sure about Pratt and the raptors though.....

Well I've finished Atlas Shrugged. It was good. It has changed or at least made me reconsider my perspective/opinions, but Rand doesn't by any stretch have a full convert here. I went through it fairly steadily so I read the freaking massive thing in about a week and a half, still digesting it mentally.

Sazed or Wax. It'd be sweet to wear Terrisman robes, and Dusters kick chull. I wouldn't necessarily go with the huge side burns that Wax has though....ew.

I'm going to an early release at my local theater tonight. I'm hoping it's good, worried it won't be.... Really hoping that the first won't be besmirched again.

I've been wanting to see what this would do for ages!!! Except kind of the reverse, I want to see what a fabrial would do as a spike..... I also figure that the Oregon RP, while insane, is quite normal for the internet in its insanity except that the members are kind. I've only been on one other forum and that one was really nice as well but became completely inactive after a while, and I have to agree that intelligence, kindness, and fantasticat staff are what matter. Probably has something to do with amount and activity of community, but I don't know enough about stats to really say anything about that. Would be interesting to study community sizes and how nice they are.....anyway, these really are great forums. (There, I've contributed, Lord Ruler Chaos can now refrain from using the ban-hammer on me )

My dad has the three WoT's signed, my sisters have the Alcatraz's signed, and I've got WoR and Steelheart signed. I own Final Empire but there hasn't been a signing since I got it so it's still waiting. My WoT's and Way of Kings are on audio so there's not much I can do about those unfortunately.

I cut my own hair. I started doing it after waiting too long again for another bad haircut from my dad. I could go and get it cut, but then I gotta go spend the money and time and blehhhh. I've gotten fairly decent by now anyway so I'm happy.

I'm one of the Mormons on the forum, most of the older members probably know that, or knew that anyway haha. On the question of the Christian option for the poll, personally I like it as it is, but if others felt more comfortable- not because of OCD labeling or convenience but for belief- than I'd support it. I haven't studied the masses of divides in christianity because my church has-to me- a much clearer distinction between other churches, and I just haven't had time. Religion fascinates me and the divisions are something that I do want to study in the future.

I started it, and my library has at least part of the manga, but the bit I watched was fairly-though not overwhelmingly sure- raunchy and I'm not a fan so I stopped. I know of lots of people who do really love the show though.

Other names I really like are Lloyd, Lyn, Irving, and Thomas.

There are parts that fit me, but I'm not usually ruthless nor domineering and stuff. There were several questions I was edgy on so maybe answering differently would've gotten me slightly better.

Currently chugging through Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I'm enjoying it, and it provides a wonderful contrast to The West Wing and other books that I enjoy. Also been continuing my Pratchett marathon and got two books for summer reading for my AP Human Geography class next year, Jihad vs Mccworld and Confucius Lives Next Door.
