*claps at Eerongal's good Samaritan (-ship?, -ism?)* What happened? My brother's girlfriend took too many of her prescription muscle relaxers (two instead of one). By the time my brother was flipping out, she was unconscious and not breathing (but making some gurgling noises). The only information i could get out of him when i asked "is she choking?" was "NO! YES! I DONT KNOW! MAYBE!" as he was trying and failing to administer CPR (he doesnt know how), so i threw his phone back at him and told HIM to call 911 because i DO know how to do CPR and the Heimlich. Did so until she was breathing, then we brought out to the front so the ambulance workers could get to her. By the time they got here, she was coming around, and mostly lucid. Wow, that's intense congrats on saving her.I would like to announce that after 5 and 1/2 months I completed "A Monument to All Your Sins" on Halo: Reach

Alan Wake? I haven't played it buy I read an article about it today. That quote popped up a few times. Umm no. Silus, you know what I am talking about, I'm sure Ambro appreciates being choked by telekinetic smoke. What is Alan Wake? allen wake is a suvival horror video game. i never played it but the premise seemed interesting. Alan Wake is AMAZING. I usually hate scary games but I loved this one. Basically your an author visiting some small town in I think Washington state. on your first night there your wife goes missing and you wake up one week later and start finding manuscript pages of a horror story that you cant remember writing after a while the story you wrote starts to become a reality and yo have to figure out how to stop it.

Ummmm... I'm gonna go ahead and say no. Your supporting evidence isn't very supportive. Malatium was hard to find because no one in their right mind would mix the most valuable metal on Earth Scadrial with another metal that would destroy its value entirely. also like Chaos said you could make the same argument that Mistborn shouldn't be able to burn atium. However I have wondered a bit about "the atium problem" and came to this conclusion. remember at its core allomancy is the power granted by preservation to ingest and metabolize metals to access there power. there are only16 metals that can be burned. If you can burn one of them and your a misting. If you can burn all 16 of them and your a Mistborn, Right? Wrong. There are more then 16 metals and I'm not talking about the god metals either. Kelsier tells Vin to be careful with burning here metals because if she burns one that isn't alloyed right or one that isn't of the 10 (really 16) the outcome could range from discomfort to death. So really every metal produces an allomantic effect when burned, its just that only 16 of then have a worth while effect. but when the god metal is burned its power is released because it is the power/body of a god. When Rashek discovered allomancy he had no idea what it was or what metals could be used. but he was a feruchemist. it probably didnt take him long to realize that every feruchemical metal has an allomantic property. so he would assume that it is an allomantic metal because he is getting power from it even though technically it is the body of a god. There also is a valid point of why there are atium mistings. the mists dont give the power, they snap people. they already have to have the DNA to let them become allomancers which tecnically means that they should have the DNA of mistborn even though it is very diluted, so when a misting snaps they access the ability to burn a metal. My idea is that the mists went and purposefully snapped the mistings to be able to burn atium.

OK I think I've found enough info on how to mod and will probably put up sign up thread sometime next week, It wont be the mistborn one because I want to make a bigger game out of it then it was originally and would like more experience modding before I try it.

Random questions about Stormlight world (minor spoilers)
SOM1else replied to Jemaclus's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think that is all it takes to be a Brightlord, if your eyes our blue you automatically become a Brightlord, I think that it also gives some prestige to the family of the blue eyed person but they have a certain limit of how far they can go in the government with their dark eyed status -
That caused them

I would like to announce that this just made my day . I haven't decided between between Snivey or Oshawott yet. gonna use Zoroark, Abagoura, Sazandora, and the rest is undecided. I'm such a nerd
-
well I was pretty sure that was way to far fetched.
-
Ooh if it is the second one and is WoK themed then never mind I'm tottally entering
-
so all of the shard world books up to WoK have been in chronological order does this apply to the prulude to the storm light archive?
-
what if the allmighty is sazed but more attuned to his shard, the almighty says he is, was God, Sazed says the same thing when he gets both shards
-
I was thinking the same thing but then i went back and Shardblades and Shardplate is capitalized in the book, It could be the SoA but I think it more likely is Sb and Sp
-
yeah I've played a few games and know the basic rules, I'll read over that wikipedia page and try and get a hold of the person that ran the mistborn to find out all the roles and abilities she used but it wasn't that complex of a game.

So has anyone here ever played or modded a forum mafia game? I think it would be cool to have a mafia game based on one of Brandon Sanderson's worlds. I was part of one on Dragonmount that was Mistborn themed and it was pretty fun but only about 1/4 of us playing had read the book since it is WoT fan site. but it would be pretty cool if we had one here since most of us have read all of Sanderson's books. Anyway if anyone knows how to mod a game and has the time to do it then you should. or you can instruct me in the art of it and I could pull up the mistborn game and base a game here of it.
-
of course it will never happen but its fun to imagine. what about a machine that makes "ash" fall down on the park

for someone not enrolled in BYU how hard would you say it is to sneak into his class room just to listen to the lessons? edit* not his LTUE class just the normal one
-
I know they gave them out at the BYU midnight signing for WoK, I personally got the very last one they had there so I dont need to enter the contest.

In case of emergency forum game

...start using twitter. In case of Global Thermal Nuclear War... -
Sazed also says in HoA that there are 16 allomantic metals and that there are deeper meanings to this number that have to do with the way the universe works. also in a question and answer session that I cant find online he says that he plans on 32 Shardworld books because if fits as a multiple of 16 or something like it.

I think my dad took notes of every when he read WoK. At least he was going to but I'm not sure if he did it for the whole book. I'll try to see if I can find them, I do know that he made a list of every named character in the book to try and find other planet hoppers like Hoid. if I can find it do you think it would be worth posting?
