  1. It depends on the size of the spike i think, if its railroad tie sized you'd be dead before you could start taping your gold minds, a needle sized spike you could heal your self from. Unless part of charging a spike means that whoever is charging the spike dies.
  2. Assuming that you survive burning the spike what would be caused by the Aonic power and Awakened state of the spike while you burned it
  3. we need to keep up her lead
  4. Hey never mind, I didn't see that you had them linked to the page.

  5. Hey, you said in the Brandonothology that you had all of the Annotations compiled somewhere. Would you mind sending them to me in a PM or Email? I've been trying to create an .Epub file to read them when I'm not able to access a computor but if you already have them commpiled it will save me so much time, all I'll have to do is convert them through Calibre.

  6. If we had a Shadesmar thread here like the one in the SLA boards I would have posted this there cause this isn't really a theory but some speculation on a quote that I read. I just saw this and something came to me. He says that there is a single plane of existence that connects all of his worlds and that that plane is "Shadesmar, the Cognitive Realm--which connects them all". does this mean that you cant get to other shard worlds without manipulating Shadesmar? is the physical plane somehow broken the same way Adonalsium is broken? could Adonalsium be the Physical Realm? I dont really know what to make of this, what are your thoughts cause really I don't really know what to think about this.
  7. Do we know for sure that they don't have bodies anymore? I know Vin vanishes when she becomes preservation but Shardblades vanish when they're not being used but they still exist. I always assumed that Leras only showed up as the mist-spirit because he was to focused on keeping ruin imprisoned to take a complete form, if he wasn't using all of that energy stopping ruin then I think he could have taken a physical form but just wouldn't be able to effect anything that wasn't in his presence, that's why he became the mists, his influence is stronger wherever they are because they give him an omnipresence. but yeah I don't think shard holders can have kids, it's probably refering to the fact that Tanavest created humanity on Roshar the same way as Leras did on Scadrial
  8. I don't think the time periods between us and Scadrial would correspond very well. From what I can tell AoL is gonna be set in sort of a western expansion time period but I'm guessing that some of their technology will be farther behind what ours was then and other parts of it will be farther ahead of what we had at that time. I'm most excited for the second trilogy assuming that it would be set in a time similar to our own. Also I think that Scadrial has almost always been the most modern of the worlds in the cosmere, before the ascencion Sanderson said that they were in a time similar to the 1800's. Imagine what would have happened if the LR let technology progress during the thousand years of his rule. just cause they're the most modern doesn't mean they're the most advanced, In my opinion Sel is the most advanced of the cosmere planets due to the Elantris magics, Scadrial is after Sel, Nalsis (sp?) would be next, and Roshar comes in at last place but ironically has the most information on the cosmere.
  9. but you don't have to be conscious to burn lerasium. Anyways, so an atium/lerasium spike is rammed through the LR's chest. it is pulled into a wire that an Elantrian shapes into an Aon, that Aon is awakened to sentience by the God King, Szeth shows up and infuses the newly awakened Aon/Hema-Spike with Stormlight and then a normal dude from Scadrial shows up and swallows the Aon.
  10. not very useful
  11. So what would happen if a Lerasium metalmind was formed into a spike and rammed through the heart of a full Twinborn, melted down and made into an wire that would be bent into an Aon by an Elantrian later granted sentience by an Awakener, then infused with stormlight by Szeth, and burned by a Mistborn? What would happen?!?!
  12. With Spook's baby that grows up to join the Dahkor
  13. That's like asking if the sun will rise, of course Hoid will show up.
  14. I would like to announce that Florida is going to get Jimmered tonight
  15. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the sheath is made of human flesh and stops nightblood the same way a body stops metal being affected by allomancy
  16. Skai could still be Hate. One of the synonyms of Odium is dishonor and I think that because Honor is a shard on Roshar, Odium is more likely to mean Dishonor rather than Hate
  17. I really don't want to announce this for a few more days I was at the BYU library last night for a church activity and that I searched their catalog and I would like to announce that DragonSteel is back! Now I just need to figure out how to get a hold of it .
  18. Is this gonna be the book with the "Cat Burglar of Time"? if so then I think that might be the Bendalloy/gold twinborn so she can avoid the radiation from entering/exiting a time bubble
  19. How in the world did you get ahold of this recording?!?
  20. I've been thinking for awhile that Odium might not mean Hate/Disgust, so instead of looking it up in the dictionary I looked it up in a thesaurus and got some interesting results Emphasis mine. If Odium is Dishonor then I think it very likely that he is native to Roshar
  21. I'm assuming that unlike Sazed, Wax is gonna see the benefit of using his iron minds and will be filling them constantly so he always has extra weight when he needs it to push. assuming that to be true I am going to be so mad if he doesn't at one point tap his iron minds dry to make himself heavy enough to push a locomotive at full speed to a complete stop. I don't care why he has to push the train it just NEEDS to happen.
  22. The mists are gone Vin absorbed them at the end of HoA and then Sazed did the same after she was dead, he did change humanity back to how they were before the ascension and theoretically he could have changed how likely the genes that cause allomancy are to be passed on, actually now that I think about it the lord ruler made the nobility less fertile to keep a balance with the skaa. Now that they are back to normal they would be able to have more children and along with no more restrictions on interbreeding allomancy could be more common now then it was originally. However people would not be as strong and there would be fewer mistborn
  23. Maybe he has his gun rigged up so it doesnt shoot bullets but helps him aim his pushes or maybe the shell is set of after the bullet is out of the gun
  24. I thought ladrian sounded familiar, that was an amazing play on words on link's part though. also is Elendel named after Elend? why not after Vin or Kelsier who have their own religion set up for them?
