Have any of you seen any Image of the Metal Symbols or Glyphs or Aons that are pretty big (+6 inches)? I want to paint them on my wall but I havent seen any bigger then a few centimeters. If you don't know where I could find them do you have any sugestions on how to make them or draw them? so far I have been cutting the Metal symbols out of a Paint document and resizeing them in MS Word, they come out really fuzzy and It's hard to get the scale right though. I havent been able to find any pictures of the aons online either but if you know where some are please tell me.

I would like to announce that I finally worked out the roles for the Mistborn Mafia game. I think it might be a little big however. It looks like it'll need around 15 people playing so I might have to cut it down if enough people don't sign up. Would you mind reading over the setup and roles if I sent you a PM Darth and telling me what you think? The game will probably be set outside of the storyline so no character's from the trilogy will make an appearance but I need to think of where it will be happening. The one that I was in on DM was set up like a battle between the Crew and the LR+an Inquisitor. I think this will be set over a period of time in side one of Luthadel's Greathouse Keeps. I'm thinking about calling it "Atium Wars" since atium will have a pretty large role in how some aspects of the game play out but thats all I'm gonna say about that for now

Any of you seen the European cover art for AoL? I dont know how to post an Image so here's a link to it Here. I really like the European covers for the original trilogy (I've considered buying them of amazon just to look at them) but I don't know if I like this cover as much. The train thing looks awesome, and I love the blue mists, but I don't know if the guy in the mistcloak by the train looks that good. And the line "There is still magic..." seems a little weak, maybe "The Magics live on..." would be better.

I think Kaladin has felt the Thrill. When he fights that one dude with the quarterstaff it talks about a feeling/excitement that he felt. It was completely irrational and he lost the feeling quicky when he realized what he was doing, similar to how Dalinar does while fighting the Parshendi. Of course if is a lot less drastic then that but it still happens, he never refers to it as the thrill but he has never heard that term before either

I've been trying occasionally thinking about a setup for a game, but I haven't ever ran a game so I don't really know how to balance it out. I'm sure all of the info is online but I just need to get around to reading it up. I was part of a Mistborn Mafia game last summer on DM and I was thinking about taking that set up and making a few modifications to it.

Did some digging about Lucentia and I'm pretty sure it's not English. Did some more digging however and found that it is a Dutch word. I found an online dictionary herethat has multiple languages and got the Dutch definition/synonyms (I don't know dutch so I don't know really what it is , I used google translate (which probably isn't the best source but the only one I have access to) and it translates to the This Latin Dictionary here doesn't have Lucentia but it looks like some of the words share the same root as it An Italian to English translation here gives So I don't have any precise translation of what Lucentia would be in Way of Kings but I wonder if it is refering to Gemstones that glow with Stormlight but I am not sure. Maybe we could get Peter to give us a better deffinition on what Lucentia is in that context.

Talus is latin for the Ankle Bone, it doesnt refer to Rock/Stone at all, In the Chart it is the Body Focus of Topaz, The Soulcasting Properties is Rock/Stone and so would be a different word.

Oh there was enough talk of it, I just never got around to putting up a sign up thread. I still intend on doing it but I need to find the time for it. Next week is spring break for me so I might put it up then. it just seems like it'll be so much effort to mod one of these games that I've been kind of hesitant.

How do you find the the 20th precentile in a set of data with 42 data points? Would it be 42*.20=8.4, so then it would be the 8th data point because 8.4 rounds to 8? Next question. To find quartiles you find the median of a set of data and then find the median of each half of the data set, the median of the upper half is Q3 and the median of the lower half is Q1, is that right? Assuming I am right about how I should find the Quartiles does Q3-Q1=IQR/Inter Quartile Range? Not really a math question but if I am right about what Q1 and Q3 are what is Q2? is it just the median of the whole data set?

What exactly are you refering to? I don't recall any mention of a Ninth Essence from when I read WoK. If you put up the page number of where you saw it mentioned I might be able to figure out what it is. Also what kind of translation are you working on?

I dont know if the DLC is just multiplayer maps, but if it isn't they have a free version of Live called Silver that you can buy and download the DLC. You can't play online though but I think you get a free mounth of Gold when you sign up for Silver
