  1. The first one is called "The Color of Magic", and it's definitely not as good as the later ones. I think "Reaper Man" is a good start, or "Small Gods" if you find discussions of religion to be interesting.
  2. Anyone claiming Brandon's books aren't diverse is either 1. not reading his books, or 2. not reading what Brandon says about his books. I suspect it was the second, which is understandable. Not everyone is a Sharder.
  3. If they're stacking in four dimensions, you don't need five dimensions to intersect them. Imagine sticking a pin through a stack of papers. It passes through all of them, in only three dimensions.
  4. Hopefully by the time they get to 2016 people will have stopped wanting a PS3/X360 version.
  5. They're suspected to be Shardpools, because previously Shardpools were suspected to be the method by which worldhopping was achieved.
  6. Which Discworld book did you read? They vary a lot in style, and the first few aren't as good as the later ones.
  7. I believe the culinary term for human meat is "long pork."
  8. Shard of 17th Shard: Investiture is reputation. You get magic powers from humor, theories, etc. Kobold King is literally more powerful than God.
  9. The 17th Shard is clever and sly. To it, a thousand years are as the blink of an eye. Besides, TwiLyghtSansSparkles is at 5135 and counting.
  10. But it's for science! Alright, fine, fine. I'll go upvote some. Eventually, someone else will reach that rank.
  11. Here, let me downvote you to make sure. Edit: Reached my quota. Someone go downvote him some more.
  12. I suspect it was the Stormfather (perhaps the Splintering, but that seems unlikely). The wording of the Song is odd, if you assume it wasn't a god of some sort. They blame our people For the loss of that land. The city that once covered it Did range the eastern strand. The power made known in the tomes of our clan Our gods were not who shattered these plains. Why would it specifically mention their gods? The previous lines don't seem to imply anything about gods. However, if you assume it was someone else's god(s), that would make significantly more sense. It was not our gods who shattered these plains, it was someone else. The main other god is the Stormfather, especially as Cultivation would be unlikely to shatter the plains.
  13. Go to Scadrial, use Hemalurgy to obtain Feruchemical gold and Allomantic gold, then become unkillable. Go to another planet (not Roshar) and bet large amounts of money that you can beat their best fighter. Rinse and repeat.
  14. Keep straw away from it.
  15. Before asking that question, how likely would you have thought that it was MeLaan?
  16. If we're going off of BC and AD, it should be AH instead of AD. Anno Harmonias instead of Anno Domini.
  17. Or perhaps the Oathgate works by switching the things on the plateau with the things on the other plateau (using a similar principle to the way time bubbles choose if something is inside or outside). I doubt it would transport an entire army if some of the people were on a different plateau.
  18. I'm pretty sure you can't Soulcast gemstones.
  19. That's the Alethi script, not the Alethi language. If you want the Alethi language, you'll have to wait until the glyphs get fully translated.
  20. I dislike the idea of making it animated at all. Anime has a rather limited audience to begin with, and I want to see Roshar in live-action.
  21. Nobody notices copperclouds most of the time in the books. It's only when Bronze gets used that it matters, and even then it's just an absence. There could be a background sound for Bronze.
  22. In the bottom right of the profile.
  23. They're in the New Reputation Levels thread now. Ookla the Inverted posted right after it, even.
  24. There's no Adonalsium? No Shards?
