Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Meanwhile... Reihmer sat on a soulcast bench just outside of the training grounds, watching the other men walk off in search of Torwel. And what had he done the whole time? He had written poems for their dead. Reihmer still wasn’t entirely sure why he’d taken up that job; after all, it did appear to have a grim mood set to it, and Reihmer was not one for grimness. That said, Reihmer noticed that his poetry was actually getting… better. A little. Perhaps, one day, he’d get out of these storm-forsaken warcamps and write great poetry to be displayed proudly upon the walls of the Palanaeum. He was thinking of leaving the Warcamp, actually. Just after he fought in the next skirmish… Reihmer’s poems for the hundreds of wounded and dead soldiers began to change him. He felt less at ease in these Shattered Plains, and even more at ease with his poetry. He wrote about silly topics, at times, but he also wrote serious poems, in the hope that one day he’d get published. He’d already heard several of his fellow darkeyes praise his work, and he actually saved one man’s life with them, a man who was planning to commit suicide into the chasms far below. And Reihmer saved him. The Spies’ days were numbered, Reihmer had heard. The other Highprinces were beginning to yield to Gavilar. Grumpy old Dal had won the day. However, as Reihmer heard the men cheer for the Blackthorn’s return after the recent skirmish with Roion, he realized that there was another group of unsung heroes in these warcamps: the spies. They hadn’t done anything wrong; they were simply serving their Highprinces, as much as he himself was (reluctantly) serving his. “Sir!” Reihmer heard one of the Brightlords shout to old Dal. “The men have seen one of Roion’s spies in the camp!” The Blackthorn nodded, his face grave. The efforts of the spies had taken a toll on him, quite visibly. The battles over the past few weeks had been brutal, with their enemies anticipating every one of their moves, and retaliating. Reihmer counted himself lucky to still be alive, all things considered. But this Brightlord’s words interested him. The lighteyes told Dalinar that the spy had last been spotted somewhere near the command tent, and Reihmer took off, before anyone noticed. The spy’s description seemed to suspiciously match Torwel’s, one of his fellow spearmen. If that was the case, Reihmer knew exactly where to find that spy. Stormwall Tavern, a bar on the other side of the warcamp. --- Reihmer burst through the wooden door, nearly crashing into one of the barstools. A Horneater innkeeper nearly dropped the cup he was drying in shock. Panting, Reihmer looked around the tavern, seeing only three patrons inside. It was still midday, and Reihmer should have been out in the training grounds, with everyone else. Oh well. Hopefully old Dal wouldn’t execute him for it. Reihmer quickly spotted Torwel, and strode up to him. “Hello,” Reihmer spoke, causing Torwel to jump. The poor spy really was worried. He knew he only had minutes to live. Reihmer wasn’t exactly sure how drinking would help the fellow at this point in time, but who was he to judge? Reihmer reached into his folder, and gave a sheet of crinkled paper to Torwel. “I assume you can read glyphs?” Reihmer asked. Torwel nodded silently, taking a swig of his drink. “Well, here’s a poem. I figured you’d be the last spy, so I wrote this up in advance.” He paused, as Torwel began reading through Reihmer’s scrawling words. Reihmer sighed, hearing the approaching cries of soldiers. “It’s… well, it’s the best I could do. I hope you enjoy it." Scenes are set, and actors cast. Casting actors, and set are scenes. Now is our final act, the end of all. Of endings, the act finale, ours, is now. Before desolation, the cries of slain unite; united, slain of crying the desolations before. Spies shouting: “Fools! All fools,” shout spies. Stones tossed, revealing hands with towers. Towers with hands, revealing tossed stones. Endings are now, and now are endings. Noble adversary, your game played well. Well-played game, you adversary noble. Left us running from chasmfiends, your tricks did. Tricky, your chasmfiend from running us left. Aladar, Vamah, Roion, of spies all worthy of praise. Of worthiness, all spies of Roion, Vamah, Aladar. Jain’s death was simply lucky tosses, luck simply was death, Jain’s. Ace’s gambit did precarious positions put surgeons. Put positions, precariously, did gambits, Ace’s. Karlin and Damon stayed away from suspicions; suspicious from, away, stayed Damon and Karlin. If connections unseen, Aonar’s life would still be. Still, would live, Aonar. Unseen connections. If Longer we had delayed, manipulated greatly would he. Would great manipulations, delay had we longer. Now you, Torwel. Unfortunate death inevitable, inevitably dying unfortunately, Torwel. You now. A truly awesome road did you take. You did ride awesomely, truly. A Pity old Dal sees not the same. The not-seeing Dal, old pity. Caught are we, visionaries, in this war-stricken world. War-stricken, these in visions. We are caught. Trapped in wars, skirmishes, death… skirmishes, wars, in traps. You have evaded the traps this whole time, for that I applaud. Applaud I, that for time wholesome, this traps the evasion. Have you Wondered everything Alethkar could be, without corruption? Without being, could Alethkar everything wonderfully? Alas, this chapter is unspoken. For now. For unspeaking are chapters, these. Alas, True awesomeness art thou, in the face of war. Of facing in thou, art awesomeness true. Praise shall we, “Torwel!” We shall praise. Final spies, silent heroes, silent spy’s finale. Thorns in Blackthorn, have you poked. You Blackthorned in thorns, Causing disarray in armies. In disarray, causing Awesomeness, via spanreeds. Via awesomeness, Do we praise. And praise we do. All is done, and united we are. We, united and done, are all. Fare thee well, Torwel. Well thee fare. And there's that poem I mentioned. There is probably some sort of deep, underlying message in the poem... you just can't see it. (Or at least, I can't.)- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Torwel. Storms, I didn't actually think that'd work. I was kind of hoping I could convince everyone to weasel me out of the lynch, but that's not necessary now, seeing as how Kaddar is so obviously a Spy. But great job anyway, Spies! You definitely did a excellent job of hiding, with all of the kill actions and protective roles around. Plus, none of you ever mis-Sabotaged another Spy, which is pretty impressive. I'll start working on that poem, as promised (although it looks like you've already made one of your own).- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't see how being a Scout is going to hinder us. In the very worst case scenario, we target the Scout tomorrow with a Shardblade, when they're out Scouting. They won't be able to take any other actions, including the Spy sabotage, if they have it, so we just lynch them the following day. But still, that scenario shouldn't happen anyway, if we kill at least two of the darkeyed suspects today, and lynch the third tomorrow. As unhappy I am to die on what is likely to be the last cycle of the game, I'm otherwise fine with this lynch/Shardblade plan. But I would still like to see if Torwel goes for my deal. (And I don't really see why she wouldn't. It's the best deal I have to offer, at this point. I'll throw in a few clearchips, too.)- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, we've had Alv pretty much cleared for several cycles now, so I very much doubt that he'd be trying to kill Tal. I find it odd that Joe said that if he were a Spy, he would've "made an irritated rant against Jasnah last cycle for surviving Inactivity again, and then Voted for her." Not only do I not believe those kind of statements, but he actually did the first half of that last cycle. (Maybe not a rant, but still close enough.) If we're going to find a Scout, then perhaps we should look at voting patterns, since that's really the best indicator we have. I voted on cycles 2, 3, 4, and 6, and since there have been no vote losses there, I couldn't have Scouted so far. Alinel has voted on cycles 2, 5, and 6, skipping 4. Cycle 4 was a Skirmish against Highprince Roion, so if he is a Spy, there would've been no point in Scouting that cycle anyway, unless he was trying to avoid Tal's Shardblade. Torwel has voted on cycles 4 and 6, skipping 2. Both cycles 4 and 6 were Skirmishes against Highprince Roion (so, again, unless she was trying to avoid the Blades, no need to Scout), while cycle 2 was a Battle against Aladar. However, she was roleblocked that cycle anyway. Neither Torwel nor Alinel have posted yet, and Torwel hasn't been online since before the beginning of the cycle, so I'll wait to see if they like my plan. Otherwise, they'll die anyway, the boring way.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm voting for Torwel. Will I change it again? Maybe, maybe not. While her connection with Odysa is defunct, Torwel was still roleblocked Week 2, and both Alinel and Jost have suggested things against Jasnah. Alinel: Looks like Newan might Shardblade you, so if you are a Spy, I suggest that bonus opportunity I mentioned... (Obviously, that extends to Torwel and Jost.) Damon Shan: Silent messenger, walking amongst camps of war. War of camps, among walks messengers silently. Roion’s spy, quietly slipping in and out, out and in. Slipping quietly, spying Roion. Met death by Blade’s end, eyes burned. Burned eyes end Blades by death’s meeting. Odysa: Spearman mercenary, the loudest one. Loud, the mercenary spearman. Cleaning latrines and stabbing enemies, stabbing and latrine-cleaning, We should not forget Odysa’s importance. Odysa, forget not should we. Aonaran: Aladar’s conniving spy, in league with Macen; with leagues in spying connivingly; Aladar’s. Guarding a wealth of secrets, secrets of wealth, a guard. Remember deceit, for Aladar’s chull is cooked. Are chulls Aladar’s? For deceit, remember.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, it’s 9 against 1 now, and out of those 9, 6 are basically confirmed, so we really can't lose at this point. Before doing anything else, I’d like to say this: Final Spy: I’m going to make you an offer. Reveal yourself now, and I will have an epic ketek poem written in your name, praising your glory and awesomeness. Trust me, if I could choose any way to go out, this would be it. Do it. Because, if you don't, we'll still kill you, and I won't write a poem for you. So there. Edit: Fixed an embarrassing grammatical error.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Really, Jasnah? Can't you say anything other than your role? You can't possibly be that busy to just post three words, and your trend of posting practically nothing is hurting the Village team more than anything. If you're trying to avoid suspicion, well, it's not really working that well right now. Now, finally, those dead poems: Marand: Man with no occupation, the truth revealed; truthly, the occupation, none with men. Possession of spanreeds, his death sentence; dying, his spanreeds of possession Alert all mistaken, to take care. Take to mistakes, all alert. Karlin: Silent Purelaker, a mischievous guard, guarding mischievously a Purelaker silence. Friend of Jain, now left to die, to leave now, Jain of friends. Spies fallen, they cry, “No, Almighty! No!” Crying, they fall, spies. Ace: Brightlord officer, a true purpose revealed. Revealing purpose truly, an officer, Brightlord. Burnt eyes, he now lies dead; laying now, his eyes burn. Ending this spy’s charade, we nod our farewells. We nod, our charade spying the end. Kenara: Scribe and officer, killed by spies’ bloody hands. Bloodied spies, by killing officers and scribes. Wars of words hath she fought, she hath words of war. Now all is gone, we leave solemnly. Solemnly leaving us, gone is all, now.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I changed my vote in case Aonar was a Scout, and we decided to Shardblade him or something, if we found him very suspicious. However, as you said, I just realized that if Aonar is a member of Prince Aladar’s army, there would’ve been no reason for him to go Scout, so he might not be a Scout. There’s no other reason for that vote change; I suspect Odysa, Torwel, and Aonaran equally (and quite a lot, as you shall see below). Alinel’s claim seems to make sense, considering that if he lied about last Week’s protection and Mek had scanned Tal (which would’ve been a likely player to scan), he could’ve easily been caught in that lie. Things didn’t turn out that way, and he could still very well be a Spy, but some of my previous suspicion on him has been alleviated. Jasnah I’m keeping in limbo until she posts, because she’ll just die this cycle anyway if she doesn’t. Jasnah: If you do come on, I’d very much encourage you to say something useful of some sort; suspicions, ideas, something like that. If you’ve been watching this thread and are feigning inactivity, shame on you. So, that leaves Odysa, Torwel, Aonaran, and Jost (less so, but I could see Wyrm trolling us and making 3 lighteyes-darkeyes teams) as the main suspects, three of whom I suspect. The individual connections may seem subtle, but taken together, they are intriguing. You wanted me to be bloodthirsty? Well, I will. With facts! First, Aonar. As I look back through his posts, he really looks like he’s Ace’s partner. The first thing of note is that he criticized Meta’s plan on Week 1 (while many of the points were valid, I think that the extent of the post made a subtle implication that Meta should be watched), and slowly built up dissent towards him until Week 3. During that very cycle, Macen goes off what Aonar says to provide evidence suggesting Meta’s guilt. It isn’t until Week 4 that Aonar suggests Macen as a Spy (or really mentions him at all), putting Macen as one of his main targets. However, Aonar never votes for him, instead focusing on Jost (presumably to avoid in-thread contact with Ace), and the cycle that Aonar puts suspicion towards Macen is, coincidentally, the same cycle that he revealed himself as a Surgeon (which would have, in theory, cleared his guilt). After Ace reveals himself, Aonar just says that the Surgeon is too important a role to lose, and doesn't mention him until the following Week (when he's pretty much dead). Conversely, Ace never once says anything about Aonar, other than citing him as a source. Considering that Aonar takes a lot of stock in inter-player connections, and the two have interacted in games before, this connection (or lack thereof) between the two seems uncanny. I’m not sure of Aonar’s role anymore, and he has never revealed it, but I’d guess that he’s a Messenger, Scout, or Squadleader (which doesn’t really imply anything). And that’s not to mention that he seems to purposely be avoiding the thread at this point, despite being called out. Onto Odysa! Like this current cycle, Odysa posted a bit against Jasnah at the very start of Week 1. For another thing, Odysa seems to be playing “dumb,” trying to get us to think that she’s more erratic and less dangerous than she actually is. My best evidence towards this was last week, in which she was just trolling incessantly, instead of playing reactively as usual. In one post during Week 2, she says something along the lines of “If I were an Eliminator, wouldn’t my partner help me out?” which raised a bit of a red flag. Just saying that makes that argument practically pointless anyway. A few times, when people suggested that she be lynched or blocked, she almost jumped into that too eagerly. Obviously, if she is an Eliminator who wished to be blocked, it’d make her partner open to use their abilities. (Going off of that, it’s more likely that Odysa actually is a Spearman than her teammate is.) She spoke of her getting roleblocked hypothetically as well, which seemed odd, and once wanted for someone else to protect her. Furthermore, while Torwel has defended her numerous times (see below), Odysa never seems to react to her posts (or mention Torwel at all, despite her being nearly as inactive as Jasnah), which, as with Aonar and Ace, is suspicious. Finally, Torwel. My first argument against her is very weak, I must admit, but it’s something that I’ve noticed amongst Eliminators: she tries to quantify the number of Spies in the game (and guesses correctly). Alv does the same thing, so, again, this isn’t much of a point against her. I believe that her first “defense” of Odysa was when Wilson revealed three of her suspicions (one being Odysa), and Torwel questioned why Wilson did not immediately reveal her suspicions. (Which seems kind of superfluous, as Wilson already revealed her reasoning. Again, not much of a link between Torwel and Odysa, but it’s something that I noticed.) She tries to direct suspicion onto Wilson multiple times. Torwel states that she is a terrible Eliminator and is bad at manipulation, after Wilson points out that one of her posts seems manipulative. Then, as we’ve mentioned, is the fact that she was roleblocked Week 2, and there were no kills that battle. One point that really gets my suspicions going is when Torwel specifically states what she would’ve said to Odysa if she was indeed trying to help her. That post just seems odd, including the part in which she claims to be an ideal lynch target, and being rather convincing in that she has no role. Combined with the point that Odysa is more likely a Spearman, this could mean the Torwel does indeed have a role. In Week 4, when she states that the vote is between Jost, Ace, and Odysa, she votes Jost, saying that Odysa is still not suspicious. Torwel hasn’t really put out that many suspicions, staying relatively quiet unless someone votes for her. Finally, her post last cycle seems unnecessary. Maybe she could’ve got away with defending Odysa, but it did not seem necessary to imply that Newan and Marand could’ve been impersonating Odysa, and also placing suspicion on players who have cast votes against Odysa. And I still don’t know what to make of the fact that she was contacted by two Messengers. Anyway, that’s what I’ve got. This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t keep an eye out on the rest of the players, but this is the most conclusive set of information I have at the moment. (And I still haven’t posted the 4 new dead poems. I’m... working on it.)- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I thought I'd explained why I retracted my Torwel vote last cycle. I wasn't going to be able to get on until the cycle was over, so I didn't want to have an extra, unnecessary vote on someone if things got hectic at the end of the cycle and I couldn't change my vote. If you notice the timestamp for the edit this cycle, I changed it before anyone else said anything (it was more of an afterthought, that I should probably heed my own words and lynch Aonar, if indeed he is a Scout). Right now, the Spy teams as I have them seem to make the most sense. I'll double-check the facts later today, and try and come up with a timeline of actions, but if things aren't the way I have them lined up, there are an awful lot of coincidences going on.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
You know what? Everyone accusing me is right; I haven’t done much analysis lately. I’ve been wrapped in a lot of stressful stuff recently, and I haven’t really been all that focused on this game. However, what I have been disappointed in is that the points I have made so far seem to have only been addressed against me as incriminating evidence, rather than what I intend it to be: a point of discussion. Anyway, here's a metric ton of info, and some other analysis to go along with it. Hopefully, I will continue my crusade for research tomorrow. (Hopefully, I got all this info correct.) Absolutely, 100% Proven True Facts: This is the sixth cycle of the game (hey, we have to start with the basics)! There are 13 players remaining; 7 have died Wok (Ashiok) was a loyal Messenger, killed by the Spies Jain was a Swordsman Spy, loyal to Vamah, lynched by Alinel and Jost Meller was a loyal Watchman, lynched by Kaddar, Kenara, Jost, Aonaran, and Marand. Karlin was a Spy Guardsman, loyal to Vamah, executed (for inactivity) Marand was a loyal Messenger, lynched by Kenara, Newan, Ace, and Eoldren. Ace was an Officer Spy, loyal to Aladar, Shardbladed by Tal. Kenara was a loyal Officer. Tal is a formerly-darkeyed Shardbearer Newan is a formerly-darkeyed Shardbearer Kaddar, and Jost are lighteyes. There is 1 Wit and 1 Heterochromic. The Wit is on the loyal team. Each team of Spies has 2 players (i.e. there are an even number of Spies). There are at least 3 Spy teams: Vamah, Aladar, and Roion. 3 Guardsmen have used up their abilities. There is a Skirmish with Prince Roion today. Newan still has his lighteyes battle skip left. Aonaran and Jasnah did not post last cycle (I think) There were no Spy kills in the Week 2 Battle There were at least 2 Spy kills in the Week 5 Battle Pretty-much Accepted Facts: There are only 3 Spy teams. Wyrm is a troll. Kaddar is the King’s Wit. Norlav is a loyal Heterochromic Surgeon. Reihmer loves poetry far too much. Mek is a loyal Watchman. Eoldren is a loyal Guardsman, who protected Kaddar on Week 4. Jost is a loyal Swordsman. There is a Spy team of two darkeyes. Meller was sent to the latrines Week 1 by Ace. Kenara sent Twei to the latrines Week 2. Kenara sent Aonaran to the latrines Week 4. Newan is a Spearman. Kas had a Spanreed with Karlin. There is 1 Squadleader. Mostly/Somewhat Accepted Facts: There is still a Spy Messenger, Scout, and Spearman remaining. (I’d be hesitant to use this as solid evidence, though.) Odysa was sent to the latrines Week 1 (I think it was 1?). Odysa and Twei are Spearmen. Twei was contacted by a Messenger on Week 2. 3 players out of: Damon Shan, Aonaran, Reihmer, Odysa, Torwel, and Alinel are likely Spies. Tal and Kaddar skipped Week 5’s Battle(?) Reihmer’s Info (obviously, you won't take this as truth, but here it is anyway): Reihmer is a loyal Spearman. Reihmer has not received any PMs. Reihmer has not been sent to clean any latrines (hooray!) What could this all mean? We still have two Spy teams left: Roion with two players, and Aladar with one. We have narrowed down our list of likely suspects to 6 people. We have two Shardblades, and the lynch. If necessary, we can just wipe out all of the darkeyes in 2 turns. Probably not a good idea, but if people are willing to go for it, one of you lighteyes can stab me as a target, to show that I’m not trying to trick you with this plan. Of course, in reality, this should probably be used as a last-ditch Shardnuke scenario. Jasnah has some sort of evidence in favor of her, so as much as I’d like to pin her down for inactivity, I’d like to see the others first. Considering the lack of vote manipulation so far, I think Jasnah may be the Squadleader. Alinel is not likely to be Jain’s partner, because of the Week 2 vote. It’s possible, but not likely. I’m guessing that he has a role (other than Spearman), maybe the Guardsman, Messenger, or Squadleader. I could see him as a viable member of the Roion Spy team, trying to look inactive and not up-to-date, while still getting info from a teammate. Odysa has been awfully quiet since just before Ace’s death. Whether the two events are connected remains to be seen. She’s claimed Spearman, and was blocked by Kenara the first cycle. Aonaran has not revealed his role, and did not cast a vote at the end of Week 2 (but did on Week 4), which may imply that he is a Scout. (Week 4 was a Skirmish, and with the number of confirmed players by then, he may not have considered himself a likely target from other Spy teams). If we do think that he’s a Spy, we should definitely lynch him, rather than use a Shardblade. He’s also been quiet lately, but has checked the thread. Torwel was blocked Week 2, and has tried to alleviate suspicion on Odysa multiple times. The last post Torwel made said that Newan or Marand would’ve been more likely to write the Spanreed message than Odysa. While Karlin was the actual Spanreed wielder, if Torwel and Odysa are spies, she would know that Odysa wouldn’t have had the Spanreed, and defended her accordingly. (Not sure why Odysa didn’t just come up herself…) Also, has claimed to be a Spearman. (I think I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. Chaos fixed the server issue, so I should be able to post more easily. Also, I will resume my role as poetic mortician tomorrow.) Edit: Changed my vote. My guesses for the remaining Spies are Aonaran (Aladar Scout), Torwel (Roion Spearman/Messenger), and Odysa (Roion Spearman/Messenger).- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Torwel Retracted my vote because I realized that Aonar already voted for Torwel, and I'm not going to be able to get back on until after the rollover (most likely). Anyway, figured that I haven't done any poems in a while. This first one's nonsense, but the last one's game-relevant. Dalinar's stinking breath, the breathing, stinking Dalinar Nauseates me, causing utter revulsion. Utterly causing me nausea. Storming lighteyes; they care little of our safety; our of care... uh... Reihmer stopped, realizing that his poem didn't make sense. He balled it up and threw it at Karlin. The poor man didn't even flinch. "Erm... hello?" Reihmer said. No response. Shrugging, Reihmer took out a new sheet and wrote a new form of poetry he had discovered. Karlin we have sought out suspicions of quietness before, but a message from the third week striketh me startled: Karlin says that he "Should've known that Jain was evil." A slim hope, but O Wit, perchance Karlin be thine ignoble contact? As for Damon, his words come by little. Stated he, that he would return by Monday, but alas! Monday hath come and passed. Odysa, as my previous letters hath spoken, suddenly says little, what be thine reasoning for so? Aonaran, I note, hath gone little suspicion. Perchance for good reason, or perchance he's of treason. Know I not, but he hath not said as much as some other darkeyed men, nor hath he been voted for this present Week. Newan, also, hath not attained a vote this Week. For that, what doth it mean? Still of the old Lynchmaster spirit have I seen little; perchance he hides behind an innocent ruse? Torwel, hath I explain'd already. Also a player who hath not said particularly much. Alinel, too, doth the suspicions now fly. His disregard for the Wit alone is startling! Surely, you could discern his identity by the foul scent of his trolling alone! Marand, hath mine suspicious eye fallen before, and now hath little changed. Perhaps I shall rest and think more of it upon the morrow. Reihmer looked at his poetry, crumpled it up, and threw it away too. Ugh... who even writes that kind of poetry? he protested in disgust. It was a strange poetry form he'd learned from a strange man in a strange place. Probably. Reihmer forgot the details. But whoever it was, they had a bad sense of poetic style. Disgraceful.- 611 replies

Hmm... I have the same issue, and I tried the command in the command prompt. It said that it was successful, but I'm still having issues connecting with the site. I can connect the first time I use the internet when I log off and log back on, but for the most part, it doesn't work.

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Torwel. (I can only change colors in the first paragraph for some odd reason, so I'll explain the vote somewhere below.) We've basically narrowed down the last 4 Spies (obviously excluding Ace) to 12 players, 3 of which are less likely to be Spies, if only because of their eye color (you storming spoiled lighteyes), or today's events. Karlin still hasn't posted, so it looks like we'll have an unnecessary death, unless they post soon. (Though, of course, if you're a Spy, take your time...) Statistically speaking, Torwel has the greatest chance of being a spy, if only for the lack of kills on Day 2. There was that whole "messaging" thing on Day 2, but I don't know what it means. Apparently, some of you lighteyes do. But, either way, she's also been about as quiet as in MR 3, when she was an Eliminator. Other than that, I don't know who's most suspicious at this point. Odysa's become quieter and more unhelpful recently. Jasnah's still being unnecessarily quiet. I don't really know what to do about her. If she is a spy, how will be able to figure that out, at this rate? Considering that Araris is now under suspicion, we seem to be forgetting about her. Aonar hasn't commented on any suspicions lately, which makes me slightly suspicious, in that trying to find connection between him and other players will be difficult. I also feel like he could've been one of the ones to figure out Ash's role on Week 1. Not much to go off of, but it's a point that hasn't been brought up in a while. Joe, while your lighteyed status makes you statistically less likely to be a spy, you've said nothing this cycle, which is particularly unusual for you. I haven't really been able to find any solid connections between players yet, but Newan has tried to get Odysa lynched multiple times, and I think we still ought to keep an eye out on Maili. Hopefully, we'll get some communications established soon, and get another player proven loyal this cycle. Edit: Fixed some math.- 611 replies

I did forget Araris, didn't I? I was going to mention the something similar to what you said, in that he's slipped under the radar, but I guess my forgetting him speaks for that itself, doesn't it? (I did have him written down in my list, but the "copy/paste" feature doesn't really work for me right now. Rather annoying.)- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, with RL stuff (and, yes, I'm still having server issues as well), I'm probably going to be rather inactive over the next few days, as I have the past few days, so I doubt I'll be that useful. I realize that my declining activity is indicative of an Eliminator, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'll try to post at least once a day, though. Asking for a darkeyed scourge, Newan? Well, let me get my suspicions out on every darkeyed player. First of all, I don't understand your point that Aonar, Maili, or I would "confuse" you. Do you mean manipulation? Either way, you're trying to focus suspicion onto a small list of people, for a reason that doesn't seem entirely valid. (Sorry that I've got to shoot this down.) You said that because we're more "experienced" that we'd be greater targets. But, well, we've had two Spy kills, one of which was a failed one on Kas (likely for being too Witty), and Ash (likely because the Spies saw something in his post that indicated that he was a messenger, which, admittedly, would indicated a more experienced player. But I don't think we should dwell on that. As far as I know, I could've been targeted by several Spy teams. Anyone could've, we just don't know. With Odysa, I was inclined to believe that she wasn't a Spy because of all the votes on her, but with different Spy teams, that doesn't mean much. That said, I haven't seen any particularly incriminating points made against her. I will say that, like Jain was in the first few games, trying to get a read on her is difficult. The same goes for Mek and Eolhondras, as I haven't seen them play before. Mek's been fairly quiet, and has posted aganst Odysa multiple times. Again, that can go either way. Eolhondras seems to be playing passively, from what I've seen. We definitely shouldn't leave either out as we search for Spies. Jasnah's been extremely quiet, which I don't like. It certainly didn't help her in QF 4, so it's not going to help now. I'd also like to know her suspicions of Maili, besides what I said. Karlin has also been really quiet, and has only made one non-RP post. I don't think Karlin made a post, so their life's likely on the line at this point. I'd also really like some posting from them, as we have practically no way of know their alignment and any connections. Speaking of connections, Twelfth said once last cycle not to vote for Macen, as he was supposedly the surgeon. That seems to be a bit of an obvious point to make at that time, and potentially manipulative. Then again, doing so would've put a connection between her and Macen, so it's not a huge point against her. However, let's not forget that she was roleblocked the last Battle. Aonar has undergone practically no suspicion so far. We can't leave any stone unturned, so I suggest we take a look at him, especially considering that he might've figured out the Ash-Messenger thing on Week 1. Finally, Mail. You went to all of the trouble of voting or me, and then realized I wasn't suspicious? Is that a way of trying to get me to alleviate my suspicions on you? I'm not a Guardsman, and I haven't been cleaning any latrines (thankfully).- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Renegade replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Still having server connection issues. If/until this gets fixed, catching up on the thread and posting will be difficult. For one thing, I can't quote anything. Newan: When did I ever say that I was suspicious of Odysa this cycle? The closest that I said was that she isn't the least suspicious person here, but it seems to be a bit of a stretch to say that I declared suspicions of her. While, sure, I could say she's "erratic," I haven't seen anything that has really incriminated her, and there's a difference between "erratic-ness" and suspiciousness. Onto other matters: I haven't seen anyone discuss anything about protective precautions for the Spy kill this cycle. The issue we have here is that there's a considerable chance that the Spies have an Officer, who could potentially block someone protecting Luckat (who I'd assume we'd want to protect). At the same time, we might not want all of our protective roles protecting Luckat, because that means that the Spies have a clear shot at any other player (including Kas, who appears to be our Wit). Any thoughts on this? I'm not sure what else to say at this point, but I again encourage everyone to post more often, and vote more aggressively. Sure, we're all busy during this time of the year, but still, near-inactivity isn't going to help (I'm talking to you, Jasnah and/or Karlin).- 611 replies

Well, this is strange. I haven't been able to access the site until now, since the server reset. I'd assumed nobody could access it, but apparently it's only me. Hopefully, assuming that it continues to work, I should be back to comment here later. (I still can't access it on Google Chrome, though, so I can't change font colors, for some reason.)- 611 replies

Yes, assuming, of course, that you and Torwel are not on the same team; as unlikely as that may be, we should not discount the possibility. But yes, why are we roleblocking Odysa? While she isn’t the least suspicious person here, I don’t see a particular reason we should block her. That “suggestion” seems to be something more so, Marand. Almost the exact same thing that Wilson did in LG 9. And you even criticized Wilson’s response to Odysa last cycle; have you suddenly changed your mind, for some reason? Also, Jasnah did post once last cycle. Meller: Forger of bridges, the watcher. He watches the bridges of forgers. Battles of Wits, has he lost. He has wits of battles. Crumbled are our bridges now, and now bridges, ours, are crumbled. (Rejoice, for Kaddar now owes you emerald broams! Emeralds, you owe now Kaddar for rejoicing.) Edit: Changed to the correct link.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification

Hmm, so the dead require my poetic graces, then? Well, the only problem that I see is that I don’t work for free, and as you’re dead, you have nothing to use as collateral… Bah, fine, I’ll do it anyway. Wok: Blackthorn’s diplomat, a Horneater princess; Horneater, a diplomat Blackthorn. Harm. Not meant for war, blood was spilt; spilt were bloody wars, for meant no harm. Murdered by conniving spies; revenge shall we take. We shall revenge, spies conniving, by murder. Jain: Shin spy, the panda-crazed man; panda-crazed, the spying Shin. Vamah, of traitor’s heart, hiding the soul. The hidden heart, traitor’s, of Vamah. Rest well, noble adversary, as your days are gone; gone are days, yours, as adversaries. Noble, well rest. These aren't incredibly long poems, but they're better than Reihmer's usual quality. Plus, I might end up writing a lot of these, depending on how things go. (Including one for Jasnah, if she doesn't show up this cycle.)- 611 replies
