  1. * cough * * Kobold King hasn't gotten anything decent accomplished in the months he's been on this site * * cough *
  2. All this tells us is that WeiryWritwr is involved in the cover-up.
  3. Like it or lump it, assuming "QuiteLeftInch" is a shipping name is the forum's new recurring joke.
  4. Plate your house in aluminum and keep some larkins in the house. That ought to put your mind at ease.
  5. He's now known as QuiteLeftInch. Is this a new shipping I was unaware of?
  6. ^ Upvote for fishfingers and custard. ^
  7. I have passed such giants as Chaos and FeatherWriter on the reputation board. And I have done it not by brilliantly theorizing as I always dreamed, but with snark and cheap puns. Sigh.

Are you apprenticed to Swimmingly by Chance?

I'm sort of a follower in spirit, though nothing so formal as an apprenticeship.

  8. Good points. I'm not sure I'm qualified to weigh in on the finer points of the rep system--I am, as Only Joe astutely pointed out, at Position Number 4, but this is entirely due to my constant and obnoxious stream of cheap laughs, puns, and flavorful faction speeches. The, shall we say, imperfections in the rep system could perhaps be solved when the admins finally institute awards. That way the site could highlight the contributions of those who actually benefit the site in some way in a way which does not involve reputation points. Rep is unfairly weighted towards those who spend time on RP boards or make hilarious cheap jokes all the time. And I'm with Aether 100%--Swimmingly is one of the more charming, recognizable accounts on the board. It's brilliant seeing him pop up on various threads lending his unique, hysterical, and sometimes darkly humorous opinion to the matter at hand. And unlike me, he actually seems to possess the intellect to make thought-provoking theory topics on occasion.
  9. To be honest, I'm so far out of touch with the Guilds that I'm not sure what the riddle is.
  10. But Matrim... Leftinch will always be online, so long as there are members loyal to him.
  11. A certain interlude character will become an Elsecaller and become the wealthiest merchant in the world by selling her Rysn's Peanut Butter Cups.
  12. I don't feel safe passing out rep when I'm on my mobile device. (I'm on it now, so I won't risk upvoting you yet.)
  13. (I thought it would be hilarious if I "accidentally" downvoted your post, but I won't do that to you. ) In all seriousness, this would be a cool feature.
  14. I think sad episodes of cartoons are far more distressing than dark episodes of live-action shows. Usually cartoon characters seem to live in a very idealized world. A world that, if not 100% pure and innocent, is still preferable to our own. But a sad episode inverts that. We see our favorite characters suffer, see them faced with something that isn't quite as simple or innocent as they usually find. I have no idea what "Hurricane Fluttershy" is about, but I am familiar with sad episodes of cartoons like Teen Titans. Granted, the Teen Titans are superheroes who fight evil every episode... but seeing them hurt in ways other than animated bruises or band-aids can cause fair a bit of second-hand trauma.
  15. So, I went to take a look at the history of Derpy Hooves. Exhibit A: the character herself. Exhibit B: fan art after allegations of Derpy Hooves being "offensive" to the mentally retarded. Proposals were made to "fix" Derpy's eyes. Warning: Extremely sad and tear-jerking. Exhibit C: My usually cold and callous expression after being confronted with this series of events.
  16. Is "Write or Die" a pay-to-use program? Does it require a download?
  17. I'm pretty sure his name is Jak the Allomancer. (Unrelated, but I'd love a spin-off book about that guy. Though don't tell Brandon Sanderson, I don't want him sidetracked again. )
  18. Shallan? EDIT: Herp derp misunderstood the precise meaning of the question.
  19. I must have missed that one. Link? Because I'm too lazy to use the search function.
  20. Well herp my derp, looks like that ol' herpity derp has gone all herp-derp way up the road by that old herpity-derp-derp shop.

  21. ... I entirely forgot that this thread wasn't just for Quiver's absence, and didn't think to come look at it when new people popped in. Understood, skaa, and good luck. Understood, Tempus, and good luck. Whew. Discourtesy averted.
  22. Ah, but then we'd never learn calculus because calculus is a seven-book prequel series that won't get published for another few decades. And you can't ask the teacher questions 'cuz he'll just tell you RAFO.
  23. Fun fact: the Cryptics are actually Oompa Loompas. Adonalsium was Willy Wonka.
  24. Just ride the winds of rep, Mat. Do not seek to understand or control them.
  25. I have no idea what you are referencing. Aperture Science has always maintained a strict policy of promising only 100% valid bakery options.
