Alas, but that would be impossible, with Koschei dead and all. But don't despair! I could count ten slontzes that need to get hammered over the head with a ridiculously enormous mallet off the top of my head.

"Granted you have talent!" I'm thinking that Musicman, Royal Pain, and Captain Hammer should all be the names of Backtrack's former employers. Cool. I think it fits Aldo's showmanship a little better, and gives me a little more flexibility to play with. So if someone hands him a small mallet, he can quickly turn it into a Comically Oversized Mallet without making it too big to carry.

Fixed that for you. I'd like to lodge a small formal retcon request regarding Aldo's powerset. In his original powerset, he possesses the ability to shrink or expand an item by an order of magnitude. For instance, he could touch a measuring stick that's a meter long, and he could shrink it down to ten centimeters or enlarge it to ten meters in length. Since his power hasn't been explicitly described as such in the narrative, to the best of my knowledge, I'd like to subtly tweak it so that an order of magnitude is his limit, not his sole power. So to use the meter stick example, he could shrink it down to half a meter in length, but still couldn't make it any smaller than ten centimeters. He could engorge it to seven meters, but couldn't make it any larger than ten meters. Hope that makes sense. Twi, would that be permissible? Everyone else, objections, thoughts?

Granted. An heirloom padlock that once belonged to Henry VIII is found in your basement. James Bond is dispatched to your home to retrieve the item, beating you senseless in the process. He also drinks all of the martinis that may or may not be in your house or neighborhood. I wish to not be a carrion-eating scavenger man in the post-apocalypse. -
Kobold King uses Thread Necromancy! Here's my sell: Night's Sorrow will be a member of the Coven in Calamity.

I don't know, but until I'm told otherwise I will assume he looks like this. I'm a little surprised that Nighthound knows about Quicksilver. Can we assume that Nighthound's also familiar with The Dalles' current political arrangment?

Granted. It introduces a primordial relative of the avian flu to the modern population. The pathogen is airborne and lethal. Within days it has breached the relative containment of your home; within a week, you have expired from the illness. Within the month it has breached an attempted CDC quarantine. Within three months it spreads across the whole of the continental US. An attempt at quarantining the continent by the United Nations fails; people are sneezing up Cretaceous viruses in London, Sidney, Beijing, Tokyo, and Cairo by the end of the year. New Years Day, 2016 finds less than 10% of the human population still alive, struggling for subsistence in a post-apocalyptic landscape. In the ruins of what was once your home in Minnesota, a feathered velociraptor roams the streets, scavenging the flesh of the humans that once brought it to this time. It will not survive the winter. I wish for the ability to survive any apocalyptic scenarios brought about by other Sharders' wishes. -
Calamity (The Reckoners #3) Takes Place in Atlanta
Kobold King replied to Argent's topic in The Reckoners
For some reason I'm getting a real kick out of the CDC declaring a Code 2319 on anyone who's been in contact with an Epic. -
Me too, somewhere between the time I wrote that bio and the time I started writing his posts. This is why I'm going to need a lot of editors if I ever write a novel. Victor McPhail. That is either the best or the worst protagonist name ever.

Unrelated, but I just randomly visited an old Question page, and found Backtrack's bio as I originally posted it. It's... not really up to date.

Just as soon as he can paddle a rowboat into an Astoria harbor to pathetically challenge the Tidebreaker to ship-to-ship combat.

I tried to answer that question, but I couldn't get past seventeen. Once I'd scraped the names Loglan, Esperanto, and Klingon out of my memory I really couldn't progress any farther.

I'm pretty sure people would call it that even if in the Lawrence 'verse.

Ah. Far be it from me to ask people to go against the will of the Sanderson. Though I really hope he eventually makes this information publicly available at some point. I'm sure there are a lot of devoted sanderfans like myself that'd kill to get this information, but for various reasons can't get to a signing.

Fair point. If he'd been an Epic back during Koschei's rule, he'd have spent the entire regime playing The Living Tombstone's "Discord" behind his back. Koschei! We can't take it anymore! So take your tyranny awaaaaaaay....! That is the saddest name I have ever seen. Almost sad enough to make me want to retcon all instances of the name "Lawrence" in favor it.

So to be clear, the Epic profiles can only be downloaded once, but I can view pictures of the cards with the codes at any time? EDIT: Also, would it be illegal for anyone who's downloaded the Epic profiles to post the information here? I'm really interested in seeing those profiles, but I have no way of acquiring my own code.

Red it is, then! We could have a catchy slogan like "Red gets read" or something or like that. I've been physically and mentally preoccupied today, plus there wasn't much conversation to take part in anyway. And by "mentally preoccupied," I largely mean "still trying to figure out whether Glamour should play songs from MLP."

[Firefight Tour] San Francisco/El Cerrito 1/17
Kobold King replied to KiManiak's topic in Events and Signings
Awesome, thanks for the video! First signing video I've seen, actually. Main points I got out of this: there are cats on Scadrial, always err on the side of awesomeness, and Crafty Games may put out a Sanderson-inspired board game at some point. All wonderful things to think about! -
Sparks. I genuinely thought of this last night but was too tired to write it up. Then I forgot about it till now, at which point I found this topic of yours. It definitely makes sense. At the time of reading I thought that David's research was simply wrong, but it makes an equal amount of sense that Regalia helped him to remove his limitation. One wonders whether Sourcefield and Instabam were paid by having their limitations removed. I also wonder how long Regalia's been able to enhance Epics. Has she been using enhanced Epics as her agents outside her projection range for years now? What if there are hundreds of Epics throughout the Fractured States and beyond, with their original limitations removed after performing special operations for her?

Revolution's not allowed to have a turn, since by the new logic spending more than two seconds in the air would trigger Instant Sunburst. Protector Pug. Primary Ability: karmically thwarting Kick the Dog moments.

I'd support this solely on the grounds that it would result in Nighthhound existing in a state of constant freefall. Lightwards' moral event horizon could be attempting to kick a dog at the top of a flight of stairs, only to miss and fall himself.

Granted. King Xerxes of Persia is brought from the dead for the sole purpose of spitting in said coffee. You now both have a perfectly brewed mug of coffee with two thousand year old saliva in it. Also, King Xerxes of Persia is staying at your home until you can figure out a way to send him back to the past. I wish for the superpower to control ice and snow.
