  1. Glamour's just the tip of the iceberg. Just wait for the mass panda carnage Deathwish, Vondra, and Arsenal will be causing. I actually haven't heard much from Imagine Dragons. Just "Radioactive," though I've been meaning to listen to some of their other work. Any recommendations? ...So I guess taking MV and Scribbler on skydiving lessons wouldn't be a good idea after all?
  2. I guess that could work. Though I'd prefer colored text, like Mailliw. A whole new thread might be a bit much. But then, I'm active enough on the Question thread all day long that my opinion probably isn't the most relevant one. We should talk to people like Joe and Voidus, and others that have trouble keeping up this insanity sometimes.
  3. Speak for yourself. I've been known to get way off topic in PMs. Is there a way to flag Question thread posts as important? With some sort of special icon or colored text, perhaps, letting skimming forum members know what they should be reading?
  4. What if I made a public service announcement with ponies warning people not to post ponies? Maybe we could use the Member Blogs feature to announce major planning topics (when to start the Astoria thread, new character concepts for review, etc). I've never used that feature though, so I have no idea how it works.
  5. I believe the world would be a much more hilarious place with that drawing in it.
  6. Eridanus Cygnus Cetus Orion Canis Major The Big Dipper Telescopium (And seriously? No The Emperor's New Groove on the John Goodman list? I am offend. ) Name seven members of the bear family.
  7. Welcome to the RP! We're quite excited to have you. I love the name Frostfire. One thing I'd like clarification on is how his energy transference manifests. Are we talking the transfer of kinetic energy from one object to another, like in momentum Epics, or can he project actual beams of raw energy like Steelheart?
  8. There might be one blockade still open, I suppose. They'd be in a state of red alert due to the aforementioned invasion of katana-wielding panda bears. He was diagnosed with both, and he was actively taking prescribed antidepressants when he gained his powers. It's quite possible that he could have been referred to a counselor, though he likely wouldn't be very cooperative with whoever they assigned to him and would have insisted that his medications were more than enough to maintain his mental well-being. UC Davis sounds perfect to me. I never had a specific college in mind.
  9. Be thankful that BreathTaker's both a better person and faster than I am. I was going to destroy the world with a planet-killing comet as a bane.
  10. September, in the year 2023 He usually does, but the invasion of samurai pandas has disabled usual security for the time being. Not that I know of. I think it's fine, but I tend to err on the side of overpoweredness in this sort of thing. I'd seek the opinions of Twi and Edgedancer.
  11. But Glamour and Edgerunner have such a sweet chemistry with one another!
  12. Awesome. As funny as that is to visualize, no. Their own feathers are black like those of ravens, so chiskreven shamans will often adorn themselves with the feathers of more colorful or majestic birds. Finches, hummingbirds, eagles, larger dinosaur species, etc.
  13. Granted. You possess the ability to create infinite Sausage McMuffins, but you are forced to work for a supervillain with illusionist powers who seeks to create a vast empire based on his insane ideas of an intellectual utopia. You are his logistics unit. I wish for the ability to unleash mind-controlled dragons upon my enemies.
  14. To be honest I don't really know what I have in mind. It's just that the the reincarnation with memories of past lives would wreak serious havoc with the culture I've envisioned with so far (which is entirely my fault. I really should have re-read your worldbuilding posts more times to make sure I incorporated major details like this.) Perhaps Niimanjula chose to obscure memories of past lives from all but the most dedicated shamans, out of respect for the proto-society they dwelt in before he granted them intelligence?
  15. Thanks for the clarification! I completely forgot about the multiple lives when I made my chiskreven characters. Do they reincarnate in the exact same way as the other tribes, or do I have a bit of freedom in the way reincarnation works for them? (If it works at all.)
  16. I put her in the "Unclaimed/Minor Epics" section. I may add more detail to her and make her a little more major in the future, but until then: Redlight: A mobility Epic, twenty-three years old and formerly named Rhonda Stick. She is capable of "freezing" up to ten people within her line of sight, preventing them from moving. Targets thus freezed are still capable of speech or using most Epic powers. After years of having Mayor Vondra refer to her as Ms. Stick, she's really kicking herself for not choosing "Mystic" as her Epic name. Status: Employed by The Dalles City Guard.
  17. Glamour blinds him. Edgerunner prevents him from gaining a solid footing. Redlight freezes him. Deathwish goes in for the kill. That's how The Dalles City Guard would handle his assassination. I like the character, Inexorable! (And I've seen Days of Future Past. Quicksilver was definitely one of my favorite parts of the whole movie.)
  18. I don't know how kosher it is with the canon, but I'm definitely adding that to Backtrack's vocabulary.
  19. Post on Creator's Corner and I can lend my thoughts. The idea of objects possessing souls, and being able to work magic by interacting with those souls, is as old as tribal shamanism. I'm half-convinced that Surgebinding is based off of animism.
  20. His posts are usually divided between #sadbacktrack and #jerkbacktrack. And #jerkbacktrack is largely just a subset of #sadbacktrack. There are occasional hints and rumors of #badchullbacktrack, but they're generally consigned to the same fairy tale land as Doctor Frowntimes.
  21. I imagine Backtrack dramatically bursting into a church where MV and Glamour are getting married, loudly proclaiming "As a matter of fact, I object to this union!"... only to find that he'd left his power on and that the wedding took place three hours ago. #sadbacktrack
  22. I'll have to listen to that next time I get my headphones out. MV will have quite the choice if it comes to holding on to her humanity or following her sister's lead. Either really, but I was thinking of MV.
  23. Poor Impact, as well. If she goes too crazy with her powers the City Guard might have to go after her next. Do you want her to meet up with Glamour or Deathwish?
  24. Granted. The lower half of your body is replaced with that of a giant iguana. Like a centaur, but scaly and with awesome spines running along your second back. (I should note here for your sake that you now have two stomachs to fill every day, and that I'm really not sure how your warm-blooded top half will interact with your cold-blooded bottom half. You should keep a diary of the experience. For science.) I wish for my neighbors to leave their Christmas lights on all year round.
  25. No problem. Perhaps the wallwalker's offensive ability could involve making other people incorporeal, but leaving them affected by gravity? That way he'd wave a hand at someone, and that unfortunate someone would drop through the floor and down towards the center of the earth, only re-materializing once he reached the fiery mantle.
