I hate trying to figure out brandons and peters hints. you can never trust what they say. its worse than trying to figure out what calamity is. -

welcome elsa to the 17th shard. peter posts wherever he feels like posting. he posts mostly on the most popular topics. he's a bit like hoid that way he is just anywhere that he feels like being posting what he feels like posting. he makes fun of people, provides insight on other things and just really posts random stuff. peters a funny guy. -

when you watch X-men and you wonder why magneto doesn't go flying back stopping a truck. then you think that he would be much cooler if he threw himself around pushing off of metal instead of just hovering like he does in the last stand. -
Lopen has an honorblade(spoilers)
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to Matrim Bloody Cauthon's topic in Stormlight Archive
thanks I didn't know about the squires. I will be sure to read that. -
I don't know if this is anywhere else on the site but here is my theory I believe that lopen could now have an honorblade. the reason I think this is that at the end of WoR lopen starts to regrow his arm. it said that he had been practicing every day to try and draw in stormlight. I don't think that he is I KR because the rest of the KR such as Kaladin, shallan, jasnah, renarin, and lift all started seeing a spren that no one else saw before they could draw in stormlight. lopen would have said something if he had started seeing a spren that no one else saw he would have told kaladin at least. he didn't say anything, not even to a spren that would have been there. I don't know how he got an honorblade but taravangian said that an honorblade was stolen from the stone shamans. it could have been that it was not stolen but that it disappeared because lopen had not summoned it. I don't know how he would have bonded it but the honorblade that was missing was a regrowth honorblade. this is all just speculation. what are you thoughts?

you forgot the part where cultivation faced odium about the voidbringers and started singing put those things back where they came from or so help me. after this odium breaks down in tears for the beauty of the song, thereafter he is reduced to talking in bad puns. it turns out that the desolations were actually of smaug and that tanavast was not killed by odium but died of a stroke upon hearing szeths song.

ah i need to stop reading these i cant blink anymore i feel like i have ironeyes. anyhow i am not going to hoid the fact that im more of a storyteller rather than a pun maker so i will just "stick" to what i am and tell a story. this morning i went to put change in my first union bank when my coinshot away. the coin lurched away and fell under a table. i had to go and lift the dinner table to retrieve it. i stood back up and felt my eyes drawn to the window. i then noticed the gathering storm outside. it was misting up and i nearly started weeping because it had rained constantly for the last few weeks the sun was but a memory of light. outside a lightning bolt disintegrated a tree, i tensored up waiting... odium is that the time. I have to hurry my time here is wayning. storm it my dad took my car again. I just put on a new coat of wax. he had better not take it through the miles rough trails outside the city. a-don-al-sium later and tell him to stop taking my car then. if he crashes it he had better hope that he has a hundred lives because that would be the second thing he ruined of mine today. first he splintered my bow earlier today he didn't even apologize, he only has a sliver of honor. alright enough of this story this started low and went down from there. this story is over im dun writing. i doubt this story awakened you to the beauty of literature, managed to steel you heart, spike your emotions, or even that it took you breath away but what can i say im not that good of a storyteller.

Trying to get into Wheel of Time
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to Zionite's topic in The Wheel of Time
books 4-6 were the best written by Jordan but 7-10 written when he was dying were just boring and hard to get through. when Brandon picked up the series it got instantly better. I used to think like argent and think that Jordan was the best fantasy author until last September when I read steelheart and WoK. -
so i don't know where i got this idea from but i had the idea that the tranquiline halls might be from elsewhere in the cosmere rather than just from roshar. my thoughts on where the tranquiline halls might be from yolen. i think that this idea came from the fact that all human life in the cosmere originated in yolen. i believe that at the shattering of adonalsium when the shards were created odium created the voidbringers. after that honor and cultivation took people and moved them to roshar to get away from the voidbringers but the odium and his voidbringers followed. this could be where the idea of the tranquiline halls comes from. feel free to shoot this theory down.

so recently having started studying the cosmere and reading all of the books I read the mistborn trilogy. when I was rereading WoR I had this idea. I don't know if this is being discussed anywhere else but this is just my thoughts on tanavast. so my idea is that in making the honorblades, and the spren for the KR tanavast made himself far weaker than he was when he first got his shard. with the KR and the heralds however he would still have had as much power as he had before. but when the heralds gave up he lost the power in the honorblades because the power in the swords just sat dormant. this also happened on the day of recreance when the KR gave up. He could have lost major amounts of his power when this happened because of the fact that the spren that died were all splinters of his right. this is sort of like leras in the mistborn trilogy when he made the beads of lerasium. also the oathpact that bound odium could have taken more of his strength like ruins prison in mistborn. all combined this would have made it easy for odium to kill tanavast. this is all just random speculation, feel free to shoot this theory down. i just want to know what you guys think.

i personally believe that hoid is really a good guy. he would be willing to let some die to achieve his goals, but I believe that his goals will help more than they hurt. other than that I am withholding my judgment until more is known about him and the other worldhoppers.

Question about the 10 honorblades
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to fievelgoespostal's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't have the book with me to look up the quotes right now but right after mr t sends szeth away he looks at the diagram and says that one of the bridgemen had bonded a spren and spoken the first ideal. he knew that kal wasn't in possession of an honor blade. but I wouldn't rule it out that one of the honorblades was stolen. because it says in that very page that he was fairly dumb that day. im not sure he would have made that up as well as he did when he was dumb. -
Szeth Had an Honorblade...Or Did He? [spoilers]
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to Shardlet's topic in Stormlight Archive
@Aloysius szeth had said that he was named truthless because of asking questions about the knights radiant and the voidbringers. I think that he was made truthless because the stone shamans didn't want the shin people to be involved in any of the wars and desolations.- 43 replies

Your favorite inanimate object
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to EmanEmal's topic in Stormlight Archive
szeths honorblade because it is not like other shardblades. plus szeth is one of my favorite character. next would possibly be his white clothes. -
Gavilar's "crystalline sphere"
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to taxilian's topic in Stormlight Archive
I had originally thought that it could have possibly contained a spren. however gloom has convinced me to reconsider. im not so sure that it is a spren. also talking about nightblood, I have no idea what that sword is. im going to go and read all of the other Brandon Sanderson books. -

Foreshadowing Shallan, Kaladin
Matrim Bloody Cauthon replied to pancake's topic in Stormlight Archive
I agree with senor feesh. and to journie I don't even want to think about them getting together. I think she goes better with adolin. I don't want shallan and kaladin to get together. -
interesting theory. I believe that the other spren could be the one of the everstorm. but in reply to deadlydomino I don't think that the parshendi could become KR. because the KR were made to protect against the voidbringers. the parshendi are voidbringers I don't think that they could become KR for that reason.
