That is not how the Lord Ruler gained Allomancy. It's a common mistake though. The epigraphs in Hero of Ages make this clear: The Lord Ruler found the nuggets, rather than creating them. The wording is quite clear there. It is unknown how the beads were originally created, but the Well does not grant pure Allomantic ability. The epigraphs are certain that the lerasium is what gave Rashek his abilities. If it had been the Well's ability, then Harmony would have stated so. As it stands there is not evidence for using the Well's power to enhance Allomancy. The Lord Ruler's nature as a Sliver from holding the Well may have slightly boosted his abilities, but the beads themselves are what the Lord Ruler used to gain Allomancy itself. (Indeed, Vin's Allomantic ability saw no appreciable difference from going into the Well and she is also classified as a Sliver, as Rashek was. Using the power as opposed to not using it is mostly irrelevant in this case.) However, I had been lax in citations. Sorry about that. That entire thing needs a lot more citations. You are, though, spot on about the first point. It seems that a person is convinced that the Three Metallic Arts represent the Three Realms, which is totally unfounded and contradicts the Alloy of Law Ars Arcanum. That entire thing needs more citations, however much of it comes from epigraphs and the Alloy of Law Ars Arcanum. I have read over the article and it is currently factual, though does require citing. Let's watch out for that guy adding in that line about Realmatic theory. A lot of people don't know what that directly means...

The forum link on the main page has gone here for some time, but this is certainly prettier I love the rollover effect. It will indeed change, thankfully. I do think that's a smart decision, too, because then it advertises the next book to come out. The site overall is much better to navigate, especially now that I can use it on my phone. Overall, massive improvement. Good work!! EDIT: Wow, the new store is excellent. Seriously, good job.

Excellent idea. I'm thinking of either putting these three links (Brandon's site, Writing Excuses, and the Interview Database) in either the dropdown menu we have, or in a Links tab at the top. I think we should do the second option, because hey, it deserves to be prominent, and with three items to display, it makes sense. I could probably get it done this weekend, what do you think? EDIT: Also, this would be a logical place to move the link to the TWG Archives to, now that I think about it.

Correct spellings: Ashyn, Braize. No demonyms for now unfortunately. Its solar system is referred to as either the Rosharan system or Greater Roshar.

If your email on the board is an Outlook or Hotmail address, you are probably not getting emails from us. That doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you lost your password, the board sends you an email to reset it. So this is kind of a big deal. Please contact me directly if you are having login issues and I will reset passwords for you myself and then you can immediately change them. The issue seems to stem from Microsoft servers just refusing to accept our emails by some spam nature from either their content or due to the specific host or IP. I will be contacting our provider soon for a fix. You can a hold of me, as always, at [email protected], our Twitter, or otherwise. The emails you send to that address will be seen, I think it just has an issue with our auto generated ones through the site. Either way, I do not use our IP to send things, but use Gmail. So I will be able to get those. Sorry about this. I have heard strange things regarding emails for the last month sporadically, but I could not find any error logs until today, so I did not know what the problem was. There also seemed to be an error with an @aol.com address, but that seemed to be an isolated incident. Regardless if you believe you have been affected and you do not use Hotmail or Outlook.com, please let me know so I can follow up.

Me spelling it "Brayse" was me, I am uncertain on the spelling. (I have sent a PM to Peter asking for the correct spelling, which Brandon could not quite remember.) I spelled it Blaise or Blaze for him, and Brandon said "No, it's with an R". So I switched to Braise, but then he said he knew there was a y in it, so naturally I switched the "i" to "y", which coincidentally was just like Rayse. We shall see what the correct spelling is.

I spoke with Brandon afterwards to get correct spellings. He said it was actually "Brayse". Also did you explicitly mention Ashen? Because Brandon thought you knew to ask about Ashen. Though he must be misremembering if that transcript is accurate XD Because I've sure never hears of Ashen before. Interesting it is so desolate. I have audio of a new Words of Radiance interlude as well as a few other things, which I'll post later. Check twitter for my up to date information.

No no, you're totally fine I preferred our old reputation tab mod, which did this. However that mod did not get moved to version 3.4 because it is built into IPB now, but as we know, the built in IPB one is... not very great.

I have not forgotten about this topic, I have simply been extremely busy. Things are cooling down for me, though, so I can now implement the long overdue fixes in this topic. Sorry about that. (Though I would say, even in these months, downvote abuse has basically been negligible-to-none, as far as I've been informed )

Windy and Kurk speak the truth. There are some people who really, really don't like spoilers, and titles can sometimes contain spoilers. So this is done to accomodate that. If you mark the Words of Radiance forum as Read, however, you can actually see when new posts are there from the board index page, because the text that says "Words of Radiance Discussion" will be bolded when there are new posts. Hopefully that's an okay compromise. I personally don't really like not seeing the topics appear, but I do feel this is the right choice, as we have to cater to a rather large demographic I get in trouble enough for tweeting "spoilers" on the Twitter feed

Hmm. Confirmation is something I might be able to do. I will investigate. The mobile version's add-on that allows upvotes and downvotes is certainly not the best, and I would say a confirmation dialogue would be good. I will look, but it may be beyond my coding abilities. However, I do think this would be doable. Certainly easier to implement than a way to undo downvotes. What frustrates me immensely is that IPB has alternative reputation system, called Likes, which freaking lets people undo their vote! It is a public reputation system, where only upvotes are allowed, so I don't really prefer it. But seriously, if they already implemented an undo methodology on the Like system, how hard would it be to put an X after you've given a vote to undo it?? Ugh. It makes me so mad. Anyway, I will see what I can potentially do, but it may take me a while.
