As I said earlier, set up an Activity Stream to have a "home page" for that kind of content, rather than just via notifications. But yeah, unfortunately not a lot we can do about that. It is interesting how the past few years status updates has been a big cultural thing. That was not the case OB time. Bots, probably. Most people "online" at any given time are almost assuredly not real, in my opinion.

I know the reason why this is, and this will be fixed when Paleo gets a chance. They just changed the name of the module, for some reason. Once the link is fixed, under More in both Desktop and Mobile navigation. Only the mobile link currently works.

Quick update, I found a setting to display the total reaction value to things, so that fixes one problem.

That's entirely up to the software package. They didn't add it in the enormous version change from back then to now, so probably not? I imagine the designers didn't anticipate such huge reply chains like ya'll do.

I suppose, but there are also a lot of things that notify you at each one. And status updates don't have titles like threads, so they couldn't do the last one. Anyway, sounds like for your use case you probably don't want that notification type. Edit: Wish I had more things useful to say, but that's just how the software works I'm afraid.

I think that's the intended and proper behavior. Otherwise people would be like, "I wasn't notified for this reply!"

How did the old site do it? I'm getting confused what people are wanting in these notifications for status updates. Honestly this core functionality is probably not a thing we can fix without going into the code. Again, it's at the mercy of the software package; it probably is what it is.

I wouldn't say that's supported or preferred behavior; it's clearly breaking some weird things.

I feel like the streams will probably be more managable, but sorry the functionality went away. Though amusingly, the "reply's aren't appearing on SU responses" isn't an issue if you look at it from Activity Streams.

It seems you can definitely create an Activity Stream for status updates, and set it to only show people you want to follow. Not quite a notification, but may work. Press the newspaper icon at the top.

It seems it's just some delay; after ten seconds it does go through. EDIT: Only on PMs, not profiles for whatever reason. Did you try this? Hopefully there is a notification setup that works for you all, but obviously, we are at the mercy of the software vendor. It seems they have changed such things. This is unlikely to be something we can fix, but maybe there's an extension for it.

It's in the same space it was on both mobile and desktop as before, at the top. Yeah, I don't know why Invision changed that.

That's literally just a web wrapper and is exactly the same as opening it in Chrome. Just the extra web browser stuff is hidden.

We will likely never have the bandwidth to produce an app for multiple platforms, sorry! That's a huge ask. There is not a real mobile app, but you can put a link on your home screen.

Just to be clear, it's built into the software. We didn't design it! The old ninja is under Emoticons. We haven't looked into it too much. We'll see!

Maybe this? I imagine maybe Report could be moved, but this is kind of just how the site works now. As for PM editing, that must also just be how the site works now, and is almost assuredly not possible for us to change if we wanted to.

Realistically, many of the achievements will need to be automated. I haven't looked into this in particular.
