So Elsa, using my godlike powers, I determined your sig had a coding error which caused everything after it to be bolded. I have fixed it Oh the problems with visual text editors. You really do see the errors with it when you see the code (which you can do by pressing the button on the upper left of the editor).

Oh, I take no offense. I didn't say it nor do I agree with the sentiment, so Some people just irrationally really hate the pony stuff. Shrug. Anyone with irrational prejudices just needs to chill out. My general opinion of anyone getting upset (especially on the internet) is that they should probably chill out... Isn't that cool? I'm going to guess you were inserting a gif? I have been testing removing those because I've discovered they can really hurt site performance.

I don't know what it is, but our spam filter has been marking people as spam a lot. (Yes, long time forum-goers, there actually is a spam filter!) I've had several legitimate people in the past two weeks email me about this. I'm sorry. It's on the weakest setting, something that is very much necessary as there definitely are a lot of spambots getting through. I'm good. I like MLP just fine, but it does worry me because I've heard a few reports of people saying "I don't want to go on 17S, that MLP fansite"... So it worries me a little. I don't know where I'm going with this, of course. You can use whatever avatars you like. But it does worry me when people say such things as a reason to not come to the site.

That's the worst. *hugs* My dad was a total jerk, and honestly I'm much happier without him in my life. When people just cause stupid conflict, I genuinely believe that you should do the thing that makes you happier, and that generally means not tolerating their crap anymore. But you may not be in a place to do that. Maybe eventually.

Maybe something with Steelheart, perhaps. But I think it's just smart considering how many people ask him about the Mistborn film, for instance, which he said at the Salt Lake signing on 1/5 hasn't gone anywhere in Hollywood. No news there. I am pretty sure this is just a new "media" sort of tab for all the non-book content, which needed a tab. And for an official source on what status the Mistborn film is in. I'm not sure if the Steelheart movie rights have been sold. I know Legion was designed with a TV show in mind, and those rights sold, but nothing came of it. If the rights haven't been sold yet, a film is a long ways away.

Well I don't disagree that the next gen lineup is crap (other than Wii U where you can get your games worth), but what above commenters who are like "hey I don't care about graphics" don't realize is that hardware influences game design. When you have lower RAM, the device literally can only hold so much information. It absolutely can be a design thing. Therefore, I would still like them to make one target of specs bug free. Doing that on 2015 and 2005 hardware? That's a lot harder! Of course you could just play on PC

So I was at the West Jordan signing and now I am back home, so time to talk about what happened! The initial Q&A was not interesting if you were into cosmere stuff, but there was some useful writing related things. We actually have audio of everything, including questions during personalization, though the personalization stuff will need to cut down and transcribed. The reading he did was of a thing called "Perfect State". I don't know if it is cosmere or not. I don't want to discuss it much because it had a twist at the end of the reading that I don't want to spoil, but it was cool. I spent much of the signing helping out, so I did not catch much of what Brandon said to each person--I'll have to listen to the six hours audio V_V -- but I did hear a cool question near the end regarding Shai Forging herself to have a Shardblade. You'll get the specific phrasing soon, but the answer was that it would theoretically be possible, but in order to Forge yourself to have Investiture, you have to input that much Investiture, which is not "currently possible" by Forgery. Additionally, a new fact was revealed to Josh and I regarding the Mistborn books. This will probably not be pertinent to anyone except classification nerds, but internally, Team Sanderson don't refer to the Mistborn books as the "first trilogy" or "second trilogy" because they decided that was too confusing with the Alloy-era books. So now they are referred to as Era 1 (First trilogy), Era 2 (Wax and Wayne era), Era 3 (the modern era, 1980s tech level trilogy), and at least an Era 4 for the scifi trilogy. However, the only confirmed ones are Eras 1-3, because there might be other intermediary books between the modern era and scifi trilogy ones. So in that case, there would be five eras. These are only internal things, not what Scadrians use. But they would write things like E1B2 for Well, E2B1 for Alloy, etc. More to come
