I probably ought to just read Speaker for the Dead. From what I can tell, as long as you don't expect it to be like Ender's Game, it's a really good book, and considering it's been so long since I've read Ender's Game, I won't have that problem at all XD

The people who want power usually never should have it. Instead, bestow it on those who deserve it. Huh. That's actually really deep, if you think about it. It requires a lot of craft and care, and if you want the power just to have it, you don't respect it enough. How many Ender books are there? I've only read Ender's Game.

I have hidden much of these. But I will say, we have no personal grudges here. (Well, I do, because he keeps making extra accounts and causing crap, which makes me despise him completely.) We gave Alaxel a chance to make amends. He chose not to and be a gigantic jerk who believes he is right in all things. We tend to not like antagonistic jerks here. For a moment back there, we were going to let him cool down and come back. He didn't like that and instead created hate filled Shash account. If you have any concerns or do not think we are in the right, please contact Rubix or I and we can show you all the "evidence". If you have any reason to suspect someone being Alaxel, then report him. I will note that I'm not hiding these for any other reason than I don't want to give Alaxel a forum to cause more drama. I will generally agree with your sentiments. I felt the beginning took... a very long time, and the ending was very abrupt. Compared with Shadows for Silence or Emperor's Soul, this is a much weaker work. I feel there needed to be a good thousand more words to wrap things up. It's such a... I don't know. I need to read it again. Tempus, I feel similarly about all the corpses around. I don't think that was explained well, and certainly didn't foreshadow "the end of the island." Seeing more cosmere relations were awesome and makes me want more stories of them interacting right freaking now. Who do you think these Ones Above are? Seventeenth Sharders? Scadrians? I feel Scadrians, personally.
