Mistborn: Birthright

Hey Guys,

So, a website popped up the other day, and it's one that you're all going to want to see! http://mistborngame.com/ came to my attention, and they've already got a Facebook Page, and a twitter account. As previously mentioned, it's going to be cross platform on at least the PS3 and XBOX 360 (Might just be me, but I'm really hoping for a PC release), and is being produced by Game Machine Studios and Little Orbit.

More info will be added as it's made available!

The Wii U control has all the buttons an xbox or ps3 control has, plus an HD touchscreen in the middle and an accelerometer inside (Well. . . I'm almost pretty sure that it has an accelerometer).

EDIT: but only one wii u controller can be used per wii u (last I heard, which was a long time ago). The wii u can use the new control + 4 old controls at once

Argh, this is not my day for properly expressing myself.

I personally have no knowledge of the nature of the Wii U as a controller or a console, so I'll just go off what you say here.

While I will reiterate that I oppose motion controls--they will either be thrown in for the heck of it or result in the development team expending large amounts of time and resources to implement them properly--I have no problem against porting MBR, with essentially the same control scheme, to the newest Nintendo system.

My experience is that motion controls only ever approach a semblance of workability when the game is designed exclusively for motion control systems.

And this game will come out before the Wii U, if its release date is to be believed. It's not like they just started working on it.

Indeed, and I'm sorry for seeming like I was targeting you Kurk, it was more for Link's benefit ;)

Ah, that makes more sense. I was a bit confused as to why you singled me out there.

Short new interview from a guy who had the opportunity to see a small sample of the gameplay at E3. It sounds promising! You can find it here

At the E3 Expo, Nintendo showed Wii U's "pro controller," which looks exactly like the Xbox Controller. It's supposed to be for the hardcore gamers. Since the controller's exactly the same, they may port it over to the Wii U as well

So according to that interview, there was a video. Could we see it? I checked IGN and company but turned up nothing, but I'm not sure if that's because Little Orbit is keeping it under wraps or <insert multipage rant about modern game jornalism>

Can we see the video? I'd love to see a piece of the game, no matter how small it is.

I want to see the video too. We should all send little orbit angry emails asking why we haven't gotten a hold of it here at 17th shard.
