“We didn’t bring you here,” Trésor answered. “Your Shard sent you, and I doubt we can get you back until Insight allows it. As for Master Thaidakar...” She shrugged. “Who knows? There’s always another secret with him. As far as I know, he just wants to ensure you don’t mess with the plot anymore than you have.”

I hope I can figure out how to worldhop. I hope that if Earth has a magic system, it stays hidden. I've noticed correlations between investiture and a lack of progress. The more investiture, the less progress is found within the society. She started thinking about random things while fidgeting with her rubix cube.

"It couldn't hurt to try, right? And we can't affect the 'plot' if we're on another planet."
I sigh, and wait for a moment, before frowning.
"Say, why did Lilliana's spike had to be through the eye? Could it not be somewhere where it wouldn't cause an extreme headache?"

Trésor shrugged. “Master Thaidakar would prefer his was somewhere less obvious, so I doubt the placement was one of choice. Hemalurgy can be quite finicky, from what I know of it.”

Kell is still in the car with Adrienne.

Everyone else had a weird bit of meta Insight, which never happened and has since been forgotten.

“That way, take the second right, straight until we reach...”

Roues followed her directions, navigating the crowded Elendel streets with aplomb.

Kelsier leaned back lazily, face tilted toward the sky. He rolled a small, dun sphere over and under the fingers of his right hand. Idly, he wondered when his brother would show up. Hopefully Marsh had gotten his message.

Would anyone like to play Ironeyes?

"Also, at the moment, I'm just glad to be... Well... Not in the Cognitive Realm."

"Yeah, that's a good point. Still, why the eye? Perhaps the whole 'window to the soul' thing has some merit."

"My theories really are based on logic. They are just usually wrong, or unlikely. I still can't believe that one theory was right... I mean, it was a bit of a stretch. I have a few other theories, but they aren't really relevant right now."

Hoblim shrugs and returns to the book, shaking the weird feeling. It was probably only another one of his weird paranoid thoughts.

She snorted. "That's for sure." She fidgeted with her rubix cube.

So, FYI, Kingsdaughter won't be able to reply for twenty four more hours. It has to do with Passover - I can reply because I live in Israel, and I'm not going to explain.

“Unless you convince me otherwise,” he said lazily. “You’ve been doing a poor job of it so far.”

"Well you aren't giving me any options! You're expecting me to have some grand bargaining chip that I clearly have no means of producing."

“Not at all,” he said dryly. “I expect you to prove yourself completely useless - aside from your Boon, of course.”

You try to talk reasonably with someone giving you no options to not die.

Adrienne pinched the bridge of her nose, nodding her head downwards. "Ugh... all my friends thought I was crazy when I said I didn't like you in the books..."

You know his character from the books. Use it! He wants you to prove to him that your worth the risk of taking you on. This whole thing is a test; he could have just used Verity to force you to remember the name of the pub.

Kelsier laughed. “Brandon did a much better job of making me likable than he intended,” he said, grinning. “Do you know some fans have named their kids for me?”
