Eryn held Zola gently, rocking back and forth as she hummed.

Zola's eyelids drooped closed yet again and she smiled sleepily. "Love you, night."

“I love you too, child.” Eryn smiled and carefully detached herself from Zola as the child fell asleep. She returned to her seat, pulling out a book to read.

Zola unconsciously pulled the blanket closer to her chest and smiled, burrowing her face into the pillow.

Of course. Free powers available to those who want them. We don’t force them on people; that would be a violation of personal autonomy. Kell wants people to follow him - but he wants them to do so WILLINGLY.

Thank you! I discuss the creation process and symbology more in depth on the Mistborn board and all the cards are posted in the fan arts one.

Oryone hopped off the horse as he made it to camp. He glanced to each side then walked to a random tent, which was secretly Meens' tent, and was hidden from assassins.

Kelsier smiled cruelly. “Have fun,” he told Marie, before following Oryone into the tent.

The man died quickly, an obsidian dagger tearing through his throat. Kelsier smiled, stepping over the fallen body, holding the tent’s other occupant by the iron in his blood. “Meens, I presume?” he said conversationally. “You and I have some things to discuss.”

“Oh, that’s right.” Kelsier smiled encouragingly at Sage. “You wanted to kick him, right? Go ahead.” He waved the blood spattered dagger idly in Meens direction. “Don’t worry; he can’t move. Blood has iron it, by the way. You may want to write that in your books.”

She walked over, and kicked him as hard as she could. She sighed, satisfied. "Thanks." She told Kelsier. She then walked out of the tent, and sat down happily. That was extremely satisfying.

The Survivor shook his head, bemused. Then he smiled at Meens. “That looked painful. I can make it worse. Or we can talk and then you’ll die quickly.” He shrugged. “Either works for me.”

He settled himself backwards on a chair, arms loosely folded. “So Meens, how’d you learn about Hemalurgy?”

Meens tried to talk, but found he couldn't, he was completely frozen. So, he stayed still.

Kelsier smirked. “Cat got your tongue?” He taunted. Then he mock-sighed. “I suppose you will need it though. But I had better like what you say or you won’t be keeping it.” He smiled cruelly, compounding the slight amount of Connection between them. I have other ways of getting answers. He sent the words into Meen’s mind. Then he released the other man’s lungs, jaw and tongue.

@The Unknown Order He can talk now.

"I don't know his name, and that's the honest truth, I can't even give you a description really. He didn't explain it all either, just that if you put three of the spikes in, a rioter or soother could control them. He wouldn't tell me any more without funds, and I wouldn't give him anything without evidence, so he offered to let me try it out." Meens talks fast trying to do anything to not die.

The Survivor nodded allowing his smile to become more gentle. “See? That wasn’t so difficult. Try to think back. What did this man look like. Give me as much of a description as you can.”

If anyone wants to RP some NPCs as they die to me, feel free, it'll spice things up a little :P

"I will," Marie promised the Survivor with a laugh. Anyone in this camp could be the arsonist or the person who'd shot the gun, and certainly they were all involved. She stretched lazily, drank a bit of metal, and prowled forward.

I can do them on my own too, just wanted to give people the chance. :P

According to the internet, when tent pegs are made out of metal, it's usually steel (sometimes zinc-plated) or aluminum. Aluminum is way too valuable for this, I'd think, so steel it is!

Content warning: some violence

A tent flapped to the ground before her, stakes wrenched out of the dirt and Pulled toward her. Marie caught one, Pushing the rest into the collapsing tent with a flare of metals. She looked at the spike, hefted it, and grinned. That was steel. She stuck it in her side satchel, then moved into the tent; when she left it perhaps a minute later, she was the only one to do so.

She spotted a man coming out of another tent and ran at him, pewter high. Though he shouted and tried to run, she tackled him with ease, getting a long slash down his arm. A few solid hacks took it off - she wished she had her axes - and then he was screaming deliciously, struggling to wrestle with one arm. Marie's knives fell to the side of their thrashing bodies as she wrapped her hands around his neck and squeezed. You didn't really need to take it slow with a strangling, it went slow enough on its own, but she was careful not to snap his spine.

There was something off about the experience though. Marie frowned, feeling tendons strain beneath her. Was it that the command allowing her to follow Kelsier acting up because she wasn't behind him? She hadn't thought that bit was perfectly literal. But then she shouldn't have been able to run over here at all. Her victim's jerking began to grow sluggish, but it wasn't quite as satisfying as it normally was. An almost-croak seeping from his mouth, he scrabbled for air that wasn't coming...and there was some small part of her that flinched back from the sound.

Marie pursed her lips and snapped his neck in one quick twist. She grabbed her knives and stood, noting that he'd scored a small cut down the side of her head, possibly from fingernails. She healed it and glared at the body. How dare he - well, she wasn't sure what he'd done, but it had interrupted her frenzied killing, and that irritated her.

She clicked her tongue and walked into the next tent, determined to erase the bad spot on her record.

Ladashwy watched in both horror, and fascination as Marie killed the man. She didn't know why it seemed so fascinating, but it did. She shuddered.

Kelsier leaned forward, smirking. “Sounds like Marie’s having fun,” he noted. “Not that it matters much to you anymore, but your crew is being slaughtered.” No more than they deserved for trying to burn the inn. There had been dozens of people inside, including Zola, and the thought infuriated Kelsier.
