Plamry?

This character was an odd addition. Felt almost like at some point they actually had lines but those were maybe removed in the drafting process. Mentioned in two chapters, once just saying that Plamry is Nikli's assisstant, then just mentioning when Nikli is taken away that Plamry might also be suspicious and should be taken away as well. Did I miss something?

I don't remember anything more specific than that, though I only did a quick read for the first time. I suspect that they were just the assistant, though now I'm wondering if they were taken away like was suggested, were they ever picked back up? Assuming the poor fool was just a normal person?

I think she was just a normal person. Nikli said so when he got captured, and seeing what the Sleepless are capable of... I’m inclined to believe he didn’t need much help.

I'm going with minor character cut for length.....but yeah, weirdly cut.  Why not remove altogether?

I mean we got so little information here could honestly be anyone: sleepless, ghostblood, Hoid, totally normal person.

Or more hilariously Plamry is a Kandra and disappeared shortly after (the name sure sounds like Palm and might be a very sly hint). Why did Brandon need to keep them? Maybe to show the Sleepless had compassion for innocent people sort of?

Speaking of Kandra, I really hope we get to see a Kandra and a Sleepless have some sort of competition over who can imitate a human the best.

I forgot about this post haha. 
 

My other recent thought was that Plamry was another part of Nikli. We got almost no mention of him because he only formed when Nikli needed some assistance.

If this is the case, I still don’t really like how it was done. It looked too much like a mistake at least to me initially. Obviously we don’t know that this is the case, and it most likely was just a relic of quick drafting, thankfully it isn’t a mistake Brandon makes often.

Plamry did not know anything about what was going on and who Nikli really was. When they were both bound and left on the island, he watched as Nikli melted into cremlings.

So yeah, he has some emotional trauma
