Channelknight Fadran Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Alex ran a few feet to the side, then pushed aside a turf blanket to reveal a trapdoor underneath. "We haven't used this one in awhile, have we, Davey?"

Channelknight Fadran Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 "It was a crocodile," Alex insisted, opening the hatch. "But whatever. Let's go."
xinoehp512 he/him Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Quote Anyone want anything interesting to happen in the sewers?
Channelknight Fadran Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Quote I was thinking that the two bros leaving their sector for the first time might actually be enough by way of story significance
xinoehp512 he/him Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Quote Yeah, I was just wondering if I could write something going all the way from where they enter to when they leave.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Davey climbed down into the familiar damp tunnel, ducking his head to avoid the low ceiling. He glanced both ways, reorienting himself and adjusting his eyes to the dimness. "This way," he whispered, and set off. The tunnel led downwards, eventually coming out in the side of the main flow line. Davey had to make sure to avoid breathing through his nose during that part, but at least the tunnel was high enough he didn't have to stoop. After that were another few turns in the access tunnels, a careful shimmy across a metal grating, and a short jaunt through a ventilation shaft. Davey's nervousness slowly grew as the group approached the border. He'd visited these places before, out of curiosity, but this adventure was taking him further than he had ever been before. At last they reached the sign, written in large red letters, that marked the border between sectors. Davey paused for a moment, exhaling his nervousness. Then he continued. The tunnels on the other side smelled... different. Sewers all tended to smell nasty, but at least they were natural. This scent was decidedly artificial. Davey was relieved when, after only a few minutes of wondering through the access tunnels, they spotted a telltale ladder leading back to the surface.

xinoehp512 he/him Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 The group emerged in a back alley of some sort.
Channelknight Fadran Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Alex looked around, somewhat mystified. "Huh."
