I was always excited by the fact that I live in Sanderson's home state, but he really never comes back.

Although, my neighbors, who are huge Sanderfans, had a cool experience...

So one of them was going to be leaving on his mission just barely before Oathbringer came out. They were able to get ahold of Brandon Sanderson and tell him about this, and he sent them a copy early, making the rest of them promise not to read it until it had actually come out.
