Q seemed to snap out of her apparent daze. She looked up, then around. No words were said from her when she caught sight of Gerald's body.

A light blinked on the arm and a holographic projection sprung into the air. A white flag, waving.

The arm projected a shaking head, then a person on their knees begging.

"How do we know you didn't?"

The arm projects an image of the glance that the octopus paid it. Sneering. Disgusted. It shows a picture of a child sitting alone in the rain as a larger figure walks away.

"So... what, the octopus didn't like you? We've got bigger problems. Gerald's dead!"

The arm wiggles intensely. In the air, it projects the image of Dr. Who Octopus standing in front of a red crystal circle hovering in midair. Around him is a a scattering of machinery, all centered around the mysterious portal. The arm then cuts to a video depicting a clock turning counter-clockwise.

The arm moved vigorously up and down and showed an image of Dr. Who Octopus wearing a crown and surveying a broken land.

"Wait... but if he's going back in time, we can too! We can save Gerald!"

"Whoa, now. Hold up." Ellis held up a hand. "Melody, we can't just go back in time."

Ellis looked down at Gerald's fallen form, then nodded. "Alright. How do we do this?"

Melody stood up. "Well, first we should grab our stuff. Then I assume the Tardis octopus has the machine, so we just have to find the machine."

The arm raised the tip of the tentacle. It projected an image of Dr. Who Octopus flipping levers and pressing buttons around the machine with a great deal of frustration.

"The machine doesn't work?"

The arm projected a figure in flowing robes with opalescent eyes meeting with the octopus and giving him... something.
