I'm pretty sure I have. I've definitely eaten lychee candy.

Edit: I looked it up. I have definitely eaten many of them. Their skins are all red and spiky-hairy and their insides are white-clear-ish jelly stuff around a dark pit. I'm pretty sure those are the ones my family called dragon eyes.
