Suddenly, the ice pillar broke from the floor and shot at an intense speed, directly at Cadenza’s face. Cadenza ducked quickly, avoiding the ice pillar. She'd be more careful about that next time.
Fallapede Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Brother Sparrow ascended the steps up to the door of the "school" Vespyr had established. Upon reaching it, he hesitated. It was his own fault for having allowed things to progress this far, but he was not sure that to step in now would not worsen the situation further. He suddenly recalled an old military adage. Do what you must now, and regret it if you live to. Not the most uplifting sentiment, but it would have to do. Brother Sparrow pushed open the door. 1

The charming woman at the receptionist’s desk leaned over. “Good afternoon! Are you another recruit?”

The woman was infuriating. 33 minutes ago, Condensation said: "No. I'm just using what I have." She smiled slightly. "And I appreciate it." The ice floor suddenly turned into blunt, jagged projectiles, then shot at Cadenza. The woman held, in her hand, a stamp with her initials on it. It had been wired to the battery in her bag, and there, in the ice by her feet, the melted indentation of this old lady's maker's mark seethed, steaming.

Sparrow would find himself entering the seated area of the arena, with multiple fighting pairs down on the field. A couple of politicians were thumbing through papers and trying animatedly to speak with Vespyr, whose mouth remained closed. He was likely using the wind as his voice, perhaps to remind them who really had power, or perhaps because the wind was just as much his voice as his vocal chords.

Channelknight Fadran Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Quote Aight. I'm timeskipping our subgroup to Lena's island. We'll say it coincides with Cadenza's timeskip.
