Hmmm...maybe not kill, but definitely be wary of them.

A different voice chimed in. Well, perhaps "chimed" wouldn't be the right word. The scream that ripped through Torao's mind was more like an avalanche of bells than the chime of one. This voice never told Torao what to do, merely giving them a headache and making their decision even harder.

I'm trusting them for now. I'll be careful, but I want to be able to trust someone! I can't even trust myself!

Torao knew it was further evidence of their insanity that they responded to the voices, but it seemed to help. The voices went silent. For now.

Out the window, the first round of the tournament starts. It's a Team Faraway from Rapier versus Team Dawn from Katana.

Janice's eyes widen at a bright flash in the stadium, and a grin flashes across her face. She finishes her bag of cotton candy and reaches for another.

Jay was going to say something about having too much sugar, but she deserves something nice.

"I was going to look for a team to help me take down whatever cell it is that's targeting her, but if you guys are in, I guess a team found us"

Outside, Faraway has lit up the arena with fire, and Dawn is desperately trying to stay out of the flames and the enemy's reach. Victory will probably be called any moment.

Tolao stood awkwardly in the corner, not quite sure what was going on.

The Talon is a group of malicious-er-not good people.

The fact-spewing voice. Quite helpful in situations like these. Tolao responded to it most often. Hopefully someday it would realize they weren't illiterate.

I know what malicious means.

Now, Tolao took a deep breath, preparing to speak. "I can help you against the Talon. That is...if you want me." They ducked their head, causing their fedora to tumble off. They quickly picked it back up and replaced it, but not before the group saw a pair of tiger ears in the mess of hair. Toalo's face flushed, turning the orangish color of their skin more red.

He's good; he thinks on his feet, has good instincts, and came prepared for everything. Even better, if he was part of it, he would have inside information we need to take some of them down."
