:D. Hello I'm new here. :D

Just picked up a copy of WoK less than 2 weeks ago.  Since then continued with WoR, and now just starting on Warhammer.

It's been an amazing ride so far.  I am neglecting everything else just cos I have to find out more about Kaladin, Shallan and everyone else in the Stormlight archives.  Feeling so guilty about it but I can't help it. These books are that good.  I really feel like I need to shout it from the highest mountaintop.

I used to read epic fantasy when I was younger then I kicked my reading addiction for a number of years and then got back mainly into urban fantasy which I thought I preferred to epic because it's a bit more here and now.  However Stormlight archives has totally blown all the books I've been reading right out of the water. 

Hoping to share my excitement and connect with other readers of Stormlight archives in these forums because sadly there isn't anyone in my life who reads fantasy novels...

Welcome, welcome! You have definitely come to the right place!

Neglecting everything else to read is a pretty common habit around here :D. I think if the world consisted of just the people on this forum there would be a severe amount of nothing being accomplished every time a new book came out. So, I guess we can pardon those who haven't come to their senses and started reading Sanderson books for at least being able to keep things moving. 

 

Yeah, Sanderson books, SA in particular, are most definitely ones you want to shout from the mountaintops about. Just be careful not to get too close to the edge in all the shouting, wouldn't want to lose a fan. Also, making sure you have an appropriate path back down the mountain might be of use. But for real though, so glad you found them and are enjoying them. They are definitely top quality reads when compared to the vast majority of things and perfect for getting your read back on (I mean what's the point of getting "mature" interests anyway, a magical universe trying to prepare for impending doom is wayyy more exciting). 

 

We are excited... to excite... your excitement... yknow that's not working too well we are happy you are here it is the perfect place to talk Stormlight! And yes one amazing benefit of being on a Brandon Sanderson book forum is that you encounter far more people interested in SA and fantasy than you would in normal life (as crazy as that is :D). Helps fill in any gaps in fantasy love you may encounter out in the wild. Welcome to the shard!

Hmm, they don't seem to take very frequent baths so I'm not sure about the hugging part!  But just based off the 1st 2 books of Stormlight I'd have to say my fav character has to be Kaladin.

What’s your least favorite character in Stormlight?
