That sounds fun. What style ball gown? Step 1: find a pattern Step 2: find fabric (outer and lining, and sometimes interfacing) Step 3: follow the instructions on the pattern but put a pocket in one of the seams, preferably the center top of the bodice where it connects to the lining fabric or the side seam of the skirt (if applicable) Step 4: Enjoy your new ball gown! If you want to edit an existing ballgown to add a knife pocket, that would be much easier. Step 1: Seamrip section of seam where you will be adding a pocket Step 2: make a small, knife-sized pocket Step 3: sew pocket into ballgown Step 4: Enjoy Edited October 5, 2023 by ECJHtheEdgedancer
