Does that still suck? Of course, it's horrible. But, not everyone knows the exact details, so just wanted to clear up the details.

I’m going to a LGBTQ+ support group meeting thing tomorrow 
Its not set up yet it’s just a planning meeting 

Basically there was a church event and one of the people there was like “hey I run a support group for LGBTQ+ teens wanna join?”

And I was like “yeah sure =D”

And so it is
Mostly I just want to help other people cause I’m in a good position my friends and family are really excepting
But I want to be there for other teens who aren’t as privileged 
So I’m gonna be one of the founders too that’s pretty cool
Idk what stuff I could suggest any ideas?

Awww that’s great idk if this would be a big ask but in my town there’s like this house thing that’s run by a lgbtq organization that houses kids who were kicked out of their homes as I said that might be difficult to start but it’s a idea. You should also suggest like weekly or monthly meetings so that the kids have somewhere to go where they can be with people who love and support them.

Uh...idrk but my friend's mom is pretty involved in the queer organization here, and I think they kinda just do random stuff—like art nights, game nights, various projects

I went to the planning meeting it was good
I was the only teen there cause it's not set up yet lol

The plan is to have two groups
One for parents and one for teens
The parent one I think is for them to sort out what to do if you have a LGBTQ+ kid
Seems simple you just love them and treat them the same but whatever

The teen one is gonna be a place where they can just chill and hang out
There's art stuff, board games, card games, and a karaoke machine
The plan is to host it once a month

That sounds pretty good. You'd be surprised how difficult it can be to try to raise a queer teen, particularly if the parent isn't queer. The issues we struggle with they sometimes just don't know how to deal with.

I just wanted to say, that although I am not 'gay' I am queer and I felt the need to put this out into the world.

I am Aromantic. It was kinda hard to get here, but I'm here now, and... well, I feel like I want to talk to people about stuff, but I feel like they will misunderstand. 

People think that since Aromantic people don't feel romantic love, they don't have crushes. This is wrong. It is a thing that I feel like there should be a word for, but I just call them 'plantonic crushes' (the word crush makes people misunderstand)

But I have these 'platonic crushes' which just mean I really, really wanna be friends with someone. Like, they are really cool, and I wanna be friends.

It just... I always want to say it to people, but I am so so scared they will misunderstand, and especially here on the shard, it can be kinda weird 'internet stalker' thing.

I believe that's called a squish, isn't it? (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

And I can't speak for everyone, but most of the people that are active on the Shard, especially in our group (those kinda the same age range) are, as far as I can tell, pretty chill with anything. I cam't speak for real-world people because they don't make sense. But honestly...the risk of misunderstanding or miscommunication is always there, sometimes you just have to jump in. Or not.
