Fadran grabs Abigail, pulling her through the portal with him. "Let's go!"

I gaze at the beach and sigh for eons I have guarded this place and now it ends. I loose all of the storms of this realm and fly through the rift in reality.

[Gears]

Dr. Gears stepped through, and the wrongness in reality fixed itself. They faded into existence in a dark alleyway.

[Spren of Kindness she/her]

"Brr!"  Kindness shivers.  "Portals are the worst."

[Nathrangking he/him]

Just now, Gears said:

"The Alleys," Dr. Gears said. "It is safer here."

"But what are the Alleys?"  Kindness sits down in the air in front of Dr. Gears's nose.

[Channelknight Fadran]

Fadran sighs, then looks to Abigail. "Are you alright?"

[Spren of Kindness she/her]

Kindness shifts to in front of Abigail.  "Do you need a hug?"

[Gears]

Dr. Gears handed "Abigail" a cookie. "Eat it," he said. "It will help."

I can faintly feel the other place as it comes apart. As the realm fades I stumble. I slump against a wall and the winds begin to gust. The skies darken and lightning streaks across the sky.

[Spren of Kindness she/her]

Kindness gasps.  "I have to go!  I'll be back soon!"  The air snaps closed and she disappears.

Abigail's breathing was heavy, her eyes closed. Either she didn't hear Fadran or she was too distracted to respond.

"I would advise against that," said a voice drily. "At least, if you value your soul."

Dr. Gears turned towards the voice. "It's not spiked. I didn't have the time to get the right kind of metal, and precision is key with this sort of thing."

Thunder booms as I struggle to regain control. Power rushes through me as icy rain pours from the sky.

[Channelknight Fadran]

Fadran closes his eyes, placing his hand on Abigail's head. He winces, then removes his hand and opens his eyes. He turns to Nathrangking. "Can you do anything about this? My healing magic isn't working. She isn't hurt... at least not physically."

Fadran's voice stirs me. I struggle to my feet gritting my teeth in agony. Step by step I force my way to Abigail. I place my hand where Fadran's had been. A shock runs through me "Sleep now. Rest and heal." A surge of power rushes into Abigail in an attempt to disperse the storm within.

There was no response but a chorus of hair-raising hisses emanating from behind her.

Abigail's breath catches, then steadies into a even rhythm. Her body relaxes as she falls into sleep.
