Morningtide she/her Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 I like the smell of a pine forest in the mountains, especially in the winter. So fresh and peaceful. Also the smell of fresh cut wood. Especially pine wood; it's just wonderful.

Your favorite sweater? It’s up to you! I’ll go first. Say I’m weird if you want, but I think the best smell is when you open a freezer and lean in; that cold, sharp smell that comes out of it is just exhilarating. You may think me nuts, but creosote. It reminds me of childhood trips to the beach and boardwalk, when life seemed much less complicated and sad. Edited July 25, 2022 by Coolmint
Spren of Kindness she/her Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 The smell of rain, obviously. And the smells I associate with my grandmothers - I have no idea if those are soaps or perfumes or what, but those are home smells. I think one is chamomile, but I've never been able to figure it out.
Queen Elsa Steelheart she/her Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Chocolate. Somewhat hilarious due to what my username is
Lord Gregorio he/him Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Like many people on here probably do, I really like the smell of certain books. There are just some books that when opened smell wonderful. I also like the smell of the mountains, lakes, forests, anything in nature really. Chocolate, most fruit.

Argenti he/him Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Fall mornings the day after rainfall, with the temperature being chilly but not cold. The smell of wet decaying leaves mixed with cold smell is just wonderful.
DoomslugLuna Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 There is a small bookstore in a tiny town in northern Oregon, just north of Portland. They used to sold homemade vanilla candles as well as candles that smelled like whatever fruit was currently in season there. So just imagine Ancient book smell mixed with warm apple and vanilla. They unfortunately closed down during the pandemic. So now that smell only exists in my memories, and to me that makes it even more precious. 2
Going_North_cal Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Hmmm. Favorite smell… I’ve got a lot. I’ll do my top three. 1. Rain. Right before or right after a big rainstorm, specifically. 2. Luna’s perfume. Easily one of my favorites. 3. Cold, like a crisp fall morning, when the suns still low, and it’s just crisp and cold. Honorable mention to old books. Just flipping those pages and sniffing is therapeutic somehow.
