+Lotus she/her Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 I'm not sure if people have seen this, but I was looking through the Mistborn dice set when I found this: Is this power canon? Or have we known about Harmonium's effect for a long time and I've just been out of the loop? 1

We do encounter the Allomantic grenades in Bands of Mourning, but it's not necessarily the power that Harmonium would give Allomantically, that is, if an Allomancer were to burn it (if they somehow manage to do so, it's super volatile and reacts explosively to water)
Weltall Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 It's been noted already: As mentioned there, the power described is pretty much what harmonium does in Bands of Mourning in conjunction with Southerner technology, it's not confirmation of what the metal would do allomantically, assuming you can find a way to burn it without blowing yourself up in the first place. 3

It would be interesting as heck anyway if you could. Someone else in another ettmetal allomancy related thread mentioned something about making a colloid out of ettmetal and alcohol to prevent it from being as reactive and make it able to be swallowed without exploding vigorously. You'd definitely still want to burn it as fast as you can, but... It's still fascinating...

Well, you'd have to know the person was a harmonium-misting or a mist born, because otherwise it would explode if it weren't burned. You couldn't test for it at all, like they tested for atrium mistings. 1
