dhalagirl she/her Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Watch this and all will be explained. http://youtu.be/qZcaWmd5X9Q
Swifftalon Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I can make any stop light turn red at the exact wrong time. Also, I can kill you with my brain. 2
Quantum Toast he/him Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I'm not sure how apathy would work as a Talent, but I'm pretty sure it'd be mine.
Aradel he/him Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I can make any stop light turn red at the exact wrong time. Also, I can kill you with my brain. If you think I didn't catch that reference, it's too bad I'm thinking of growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.
Strawberry Eggs she/her Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) Mine would likely be forgetfulness. My short-term memory is awful. The disadvantages are obvious. As benefits, perhaps I could forget that I didn't know useful information. For instance, I could forget that I didn't know any martial arts. Or I could forget that I didn't know how to pilot a ship. Or I could forget that I didn't know first aid. Edited June 22, 2012 by Strawberry Eggs 7
Djando Je he/him Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 The inability to pay attention to whatever I should be paying attention to. 3
Strawberry Eggs she/her Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Maybe I should change mine to dropping things. I'm very "good" at that.
Aeshdan he/him Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I think my real Talent is doing incredibly stoopid things, but with the side power of somehow being protected from the consequences of my stoopidity. So I could charge an entire army and not get seriously hurt.
happyman he/him Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 My talent is absent-mindedness. (Think absent-minded professor. There's a reason it's a stereotype.) Usefulness, usefulness. Hmm. Maybe if I don't notice that something happened (like that somebody shot me), it didn't really happen! Of course, it would have to have an important caveat not to be over-powered.
Observer Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I piss people off. It's seriously to the point of being supernatural. Put me in the same room with another person and I can have them spitting fire within an hour. It's mostly under control, but at toally random times I'll whip out an overly whitty insult that hits far too close to the mark, and a few minutes later I'm out the door wiht a bruised butt and a smarting sense of pride. It's scary.
NutiketAiel he/him Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Incredibly sloppy handwriting. I already have this, but a Smedry talent would take it to previously unknown heights. I suspect you'd need a set of translator's lenses to read what I write. -Jim 5
cleric Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 My talent, in any contest, whatever side I openly cheer for looses. 9
Darebear Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I can pick up and move objects without realizing it. When I was little I constantly lost things and left lego bricks everywhere and in my high school physics class I kept stealing the kilogram masses. Some of the objects I have taken should really bo too big for me not to notice. 3
happyman he/him Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I can pick up and move objects without realizing it. When I was little I constantly lost things and left lego bricks everywhere and in my high school physics class I kept stealing the kilogram masses. Some of the objects I have taken should really bo too big for me not to notice. This one is mine, too. My parents would claim I would sometimes walk through a room with something in my hands. Five minutes later, they would ask me where I put it, and I would just stare at them blankly and claim I never touched it. I honestly didn't remember it. As a Schmedry talent, that could be devastating, and more than a little surreal. 4
FaeMofo Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I already have mine, the ability to trip over nothing and everything at the same time. If i was a smedry, i could fall at extremely timely moments or trip over a trapdoor i didn't know existed until then
Oathbringer he/him Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 One of my favorites would be throwing with incredibly bad aim, but at the same time having incredibly good aim at something entirely different. 1
The Rangress Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Hitting things. Banging my head against the wall, my hand against the doorframe, my foot against the chair... And, of course, my finger against the button and my fist against the Librarian.
Carcinios he/him Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Mine is procrastination. I put everything off till tomorrow. Including things like serious wounds 2
Tarontos he/him Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) In vocal conversation I have a the talent of every thing i say being completely forgotten. And people completely forgetting i am there. Edited July 16, 2013 by Tarontos 2
variety.of.passions she/her Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Well, I already have a Talent for speaking gibberish, looking completely ugly in the morning, tripping, loosing stuff, and breaking things. I think I just might be the greatest Smedry ever! But coming up with one, I think my Talent would have to be singing off-key. (Note: I don't know if that's one from there series or not; I'm only half-way through book 3.) 1
TapeMonkey Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Mine would be being really bad at keeping secrets. :3

I don't think that one's in the books anywhere, but given what "bad dancing" is capable of, I don't think I'd want anything valuable near you... 1
variety.of.passions she/her Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I don't think that one's in the books anywhere, but given what "bad dancing" is capable of, I don't think I'd want anything valuable near you... I thought the point of this thread was to come up with a new Talent that applies to you--not necessarily from the books...
