Narrator Star sat on a throne of smoke and decay and smiled. She probably would make a good villain; if her Author wrote her as one. Which she didn't. 

"You're doomed to failure," Star said. "TLT cannot be defeated."

*nods* It's the best. You're not tied down by morals and you can do anything you want and no one will care. You're so... free. As a hero, you have to be so emotionless, lest you break. As a villain? You're already broken.

I'm talking more generally. Heroes seem to care that their reputation is... pure. Villains want respect. Either that, or for the world to storm off.
