Could a shard mess with the dor

Recommended Posts

Probably not easily. They'd have to Invest in Sel over a long time anyway, and even if they did manage to put the Dor back into the Spiritual, the whole magic system would probably get temporarily wrecked until or unless someone Ascended.

Probably, because Odium was able to mess with it enough to stuff it in the cognitive realm, now it's probably changed a lot since being in the cognitive realm, but I think a shard could place it back in the spiritual realm.

I think they could, but that it'd be a very difficult and risky process. There's two Shards mixed together in the Dor, so trying to control that is going to be pretty hard. And trying to would likely leave them open to a strike from any enemies that they have. And it'd likely take quite a while, making it even more risky for the Shard in question.

So theoretically possible, practically, very difficult and unlikely.

I've thought about how 'regular' people might try to use the Dor to Ascend.  But never considered someone who is already a Vessel might be able to.  Can you imagine if Harmony was able to somehow 'move' to Sel and eventually gain two more shards?  Sazed would be quarter-Ado!  Watch out Odium.

Preservation + Ruin + Devotion + Dominion = ???  (I never was good at the game of coming up with combined shard names)

The Shard of Awesomeness, maybe?

It could be the Shard of Conquering. He builds his own Dominion, kindling Devotion from his subjects. He works to Preserve his kingdom by Ruining other kingdoms with his minions.

I'd almost feel something like Tyranny would work better. Benevolent Tyranny, maybe, but Tyranny all the same.

Nah, Thanos was just crazy and shortsighted. Nothing benevolent about him.

I know, it just kinda feels like something he would say. I dunno why, it just does. :P

Thinking more of Harmony + Devotion + Dominion I came up with: Solidarity, Cooperation, or even Unity maybe?
