I agree. But especially since they are idealized versions and in world religious depictions, the naked safehand raises questions. Why are you so certain on that. There are a lot of different traumas or types of abuse that could cause DID, right? I am not very familiar with this condition, so I would like to know more about your reasoning. On the other hand, I really hope Brandon Sanderson does not go this way. I hate the female character was sexually abused story...

I had issues when reading Edgedancer as well. Guess WoR Lift is not my favorite person. But I am happy to have finished it as it provides depth to Lift and to Nale as well. Though I wouldn't place it at the same level as Emperor's Soul and I will not reread it as often as the other Stormlight books, I encourage you to read on.
