Revel eyed him, and then left the kitchen into the family room. Looking too see if they had a DVD player.

“I’m the only morning person here, huh?” Ax said as he finished another batch and set them on the table. “Breakfast! Come and get ‘em while they’re hot!” he yelled to the people who were somehow still sleeping.

“Aren’t you hungry?” “No, not really…” Torrance thought on this. “What are you looking for?” “DVD player. How else am I going to watch horror movies?” Revel was wandering if she could rent American Psycho, she had heard it was a good movie too.

"I'm normally a morning person, but not today," Tyler whispered, grabbing a plate of pancakes.

Also, when I was talking to Tyler at school today, he confirmed that he would do exactly what I did for him with the cookies.

Doc stumbled into his room and crashed on the bed. He had worked on the idea that had popped into his head while watching MST3K earlier for several hours and still wasn't close to any results yet. After disassembling several scanning devices, he finally had finally given up and returned to his room.

Early the next morning

Doc's alarm switched on and dragged him out of a doze. He jumped out of bed and got ready in about five minutes. He was ready to tackle his idea. He strode purposefully out of his room and down to his workshop, where evidence of last night's work lay scattered about. He left most of it where it was, grabbing a sheaf of notes from a workbench and jumping in his chair. He rolled it over to a computer terminal and logged in. He accessed the multipedia, a massive database on things related to Knights Radiant. He wanted to confirm a few things about fabrials.

A few minutes later, he grabbed a notebook and drew out a simple diagram. Nodding to himself, he stood up and brewed a cup of coffee with the coffe maker in the workshop. Cup of coffee in hand, he returned to the terminal and opened his CAD program.

He was almost done with the Shardblade design he was working on when he hard movement upstairs. He jumped up and left the room, carrying his notebook.

Doc sauntered into the kichen, noebook held under one arm.

"Morning" he said casually to the Radiants.

"I don't think we have a DVD player, but you could use Airplay or get one of the lightweavers or find a laptop." Leona answered.

"Pancakes are pretty much ready! Form a line and you may not  kiss the cook."

How do they get money? I was thinking they just soulcast dirt or clay into gold and sold it. Any thoughts?

Also, I've pretty much given up trying to copy paste everything onto the doc. For now its just characters, ability tables, backgrounds, and so on.

There aren't that many radiants. Are there? Anyway. You could make a fortune soulcasting things that are really rare. Like Francium, Carbon, or Plutonium

You would have to be real careful with Francium. Would it even last long enough to sell?

Or helium. Since helium is a non-renewable resource, we could refill helium containers. Not much money, but no offsets in the universe

Taradiddle, you're added.

I settled into a seat with a pancake covered in chocolate chips and Hershey's syrup. Amusement drifted into my head, and I made a face at Joy before facing Uncle James. "Good morning!"

"We got a new face, though I think you already met her." Answered Elvin while taking four pancakes and used a different topping on each one.

"Oh, Revel? Yes I met her. She wanted to know if we had a DVD player. We don't." Leona ate another bite of pancake and chewed thoughtfully.
"And, oh whatsisface. Uh- Jason? It's Jason isn't it?" She looked down the table. "I'm really sorry, I'm just horrible at putting names and faces together."

Jason finally rolled out of bed and face planted on the floor. That woke him up enough to look around and blink at their surroundings. He paused, looking at his hands. They were normal, which was still weird to him, so he stood up. "I always dream about having flamethrower hands... Maybe I should talk to a psychologist..." He hummed,  smiling at the smell of pancakes. He forced his hair down from it's fluffy mess of bedhead as he walked down and stole three pancakes from Ax. "Mine." He smiled, then winced and started bouncing them between his hands. "Ow, ow- very hot- ow- very painful- ow!" He made his way to the table setting them down after that.

"Yes. Pancakes do tend to be rather hot. Especially when you try and steal them."

"Also, do we have plans for today? I recall a pool trip that was put off due to Voidbringers."

Doc reached into the fridge, pulling out leftover pizza, sandwich supplies, two cans of Sprite Cranberry, and pint container of ice cream, which he checked and put back. He grinned and put the pizza in the microwave. While it was heating up, he made a sandwich. After he had finished,  he took the pizza and sandwich, put it one a plate, grabbed the cans of Sprite and walked over to the table.

People always critisized him for his prefrence in breakfast food, but he had always enjoyed eating nontradional foods for breakfast.

He sat down, cracked a can and took a bite of pizza.
