Shana was maybe the closest friend Rob had. Shaking himself out of his thoughts he sighed and looked around, trying to see if there was any way he could help.

Shana barely evaded another bolt, although it scorched her leg, when she jumped aside. She whirled around and dove for one of the enemies, there were four of them left, tried to move his body between her and the others, her knife aiming for his stomach. She missed him gloriously, fell on the ground and only instinct had her turn her fall into a roll into cover. A moment to breathe, then she jumped on the car and threw the strap of her bag over the head of a Voidbringer. Open the door, throw the bag inside, slam it close. the trapped woman screamed in rage, but Shana already took of again, screamed when another bolt scorched her arm. Still she didn't stop moving. She had to move, if she stopped she was dead. Her leg were growing tired and she looked around, tried to find something else she could use against them. She was running out of time.

“That I can do.” She replies, then a scream comes from where the fighting has been happening and Ashlyn picks up her pace.

Lightning flashing through the air, voidbringers in the streets, Shana, fighting them alone, screams of pain mixing with the sound of battle. Focus! Shana needs help, what can you do? Aon Daa. Evelyn reached up, and drew the symbol in the air aiming it towards an isolated voidbringer. The beam of light shot out, clear and bright against the viodbringers dark illumination, and striking the voidbringer in the side. The voidbringer stumbled as the power hit it, falling backwards with a look of intense pain on it's face before recovering. The voidbringer turned to face Evelyn, and began to run.

Stupid enhanced voidbringers! Turns out Aon Daa didn't work against them. Options, options, what else can you try? The voidbringer was getting closer. Aon Edo? To easy to get around. I could try . . . ? Evelyn sped through her next Aon, finishing it as the voidbringer drew a knife from it's belt and tried to stab her. The knife never connected. Her Aon had turned the voidbringer's clothes to diamond. They were currently frozen in place, though Evelyn wasn't sure how long that would last.

She took a few steps back and created several Aon Edo walls to box the voidbringer in. Then, Evelyn turned back to the fight. These ones were too close to Shana for her to be able to use Aon Daa, but now she had something else she could do. Evelyn began to turn the shoes of the voidbringer's into the heaviest material she could think of. Lets see how well they can fight Shana when their shoes are made of metal, Evelyn thought, an evil grin beginning to creep onto her face.

Jamie cursed and cut down another Voidbringer. They seemed to come from everywhere, wielding daggers, swords, and, in the most recent group, two of them had shotguns. Normally, she'd never be able to take down this many enemies without some fairly serious injuries and a lot of Fortune, but the Blade evened the odds. 

She spun and kicked a Voudbringer in the chest, then shot her once in the forehead. Jamie looked around, trying to sopt any attackers, but most them had seeming left to attack the others.

Lightnings flashed from the sky, and shouts came from the field. James muttered an oath under his breath, "I have to help." he said turning to Ashlyn. "Try not to die while I'm gone."

You really should draw me The Sword said I'm good at destroying evil. "I don't think so, my friend." James said, and he un-scabbarded the sheathed sword and rushed into battle. A Voidbringer appeared, blocking his path, and James swung the blade, taking the Voidbringer across the head, and very likely concussing it. He noted Jamie on the field and rushed toward her. She was, after all, very well trained in combat, and could probably give him a lowdown on the situation. "What in Damnation's flames is going on here?!" He asked in a half serious, half rhetorical fashion.

Shana stumbled to the ground, when another bolt hit her body, threw her arms up  - but no hit came. The Voidbringers were trapped by their shoes. Metal shoes. She grinned and pushed herself up again. Her dress felt soft again, the stormlight used up. Rob had just saved her life again. Shots behind her, but she ignored them, focused on the remaining three in front of her. They were already forming bolts again and she rushed towards, on of them, rammed her knife in their stomach and then left it there, no time to pull it out again.

Fight for them. She had always thought it would be glorious, her surges protecting her, but here and now it came down to her skills. She was good, but not even she could stand against three. A sphere, a little bit of stormlight would have made it so much easier. Her fist hit the head of the Voidbringer, and they dropped to the ground unconcious. Shana was about to turn, to head into cover again, to find another weapon, when pain exploded in her back. Four, not three. Only because she'd trapped one, didn't mean they had to stop attacking her. Her limbs went numb and she fell forward, hit the ground, not moving anymore.

Rob watched Shana with more nervousness. He saw Evelyn run forward and... do something to the Voidbringers. She did something really odd, it looked like she was drawing something in the air. The symbols flashed and suddenly one of the Voidbringers had metal shoes, and another was boxed in. That looks handy.

Ashlyn had come again, flanked by James, and this time she held a pistol aimed at the Voidbringers, which made Rob blink a couple times. She was a normal person, and yet she was fighting the Voidbringers.

“You don’t need surges to help,” Cup whispered in his ear, shrinking a little bit at the scary scene.

Shana took a couple Voidbringers down and suddenly she was on the ground too and Rob stood up. Unconscious, or dead? It didn’t matter, if she wasn’t dead she soon would be with all those Voidbringers standing over her. Taking a decently-sized rock from the sidewalk where the car was parked Rob threw one, and it sailed at the Voidbringers.

It missed, but it managed to distract them enough that the second rock Rob threw hit one of them straight in the face. Throw, Rob could throw. He’d been practising throwing skills ever since he’d learnt he could transform prices of cloth into sharp throwing knives with Tension, and now it seemed to be paying off.

The next rock he threw was split in half by lightning and Rob ducked behind the car as a bolt passed where he’d been standing. Fortunately one of the rock halves continued its flight path and hit a Voidbringer in the chest. Standing up Rob hefted another larger rock, but this time not at the Voidbringers, but at that crystal plant that enhanced them.

Ashlyn aims down the sights of her handgun, sighting one of the things, she couldn't remeber what they where called. She lets out a breath to steady her aim then pulls the trigger. The bullet takes it in the head and drops to the groud. She then checks for any immediate threats, but they all seemed to be preoccupied. Nodding to herelf she starts scanning for anything that could be trying to sneak up on her or her friends.

Backstory: Eiss's mother, Cassandria 'Sandy' Eissac, was also a member of the Seattle police force, but for reasons unknown to her family, ran off when Eiss was seventeen. She has not gotten over this fact. She never blamed her father for remarrying, but the most she could muster toward his new wife was politeness. She loves her brother Jode and stepbrother Claren, however. She joined the police as soon as she hit 21.

Personality: Has anger issues, but does a fair job at keeping them under control. Is generally a serious person.

Cassie shot one last look around the area where the prom had been taking place. I'm probably fine to head out, aren't I? She hated the idea of just standing around in here while everyone else fought for their lives. So, Joy zipping along behind her, Cassie ran for the doors and burst outside, orienting herself in the direction of the fight. "I'm on my way, guys," she muttered.

Unbeknownst to her, others were on their way as well, and they had not only left first, but despite being farther away, they had cars and were getting there first. Sirens screaming, three cars from the SPD roared onto the street; they unloaded their cargo quickly, and a man's voice rang out over the insanity. "EVERYONE ON THE GROUND!"

Shana was down, hit by a voidbringer. Before Evelyn could stop to think, she had run forward, pulled a book from her bag, and hit a voidbringer over the head with it. The voidbringer collapsed. Evelyn's eyes widened in surprise and amazement. I just barely took down a voidbringer! Without Aons!

Sirens began to sound, getting closer, and Evelyn turned to see police cars approaching. That was when a lightning bolt struck her in the back. Evelyn screamed as pain exploded in her back, falling to the ground.

"Well so much for that plan." James muttered sarcastically. He prepared to stand his ground against the oncoming Voidbringers, when a flash illuminated the field, and a Man's voice yelled out: "EVERYONE ON THE GROUND!!" 

"That would appear to be the police." James noted, and gave a single chuckle before fainting from the exhaustion and stress.

Well that can't be good, The Nightwatcher noted.

Rob peeked behind the car and put his hands up, but making sure he could run away if need be. He didn’t want to be in a vulnerable position for the Voidbringers to exploit.
