Okay, so I have two idea's with that, so which one is the set plan? Are me and @Vargo Seldon removing the pit with the starting fight, or are we rolling with it?

Now that sounds like a zinc problem

Hmm, I'd say that her magic would work poorly, but would still work. Like, she could get a vague read on it but it would be unusually dim. It's closer to an idea than a living thing, but it's beginning to "live." I guess since it can speak to people that would constitute as sapient and clever enough to demand prey. So yeah, it would work, but not well.

I thought so because people have been acting like it hasn't happened.  I just thought I'd fix it.  Maybe I should've consulted this thread.

Not sure, but I think that was just Sorana and me, and I figured that your characters had already walked away from them when it happened.

Same here. I thought you'd change the fight, not the walking away part.

I think me, @Vargo Seldon, @Steel Inquisitive, @Invocation, and @ZincAboutIt are a little says away from the center of the Fens. Though I could be wrong.

Do you have a plan how fast we should catch up to the rest?

I'm alright with everything from getting completely lost, to finding them easily.

Doesn't really matter to me either. Maybe we can get ambushed by the thing and end up in its lair so the rest finds us there?

Yes it does, at least sometimes. It doesn't eat them all at once at least, sort of feeds off them for a bit. So you're good to get captured, it won't kill you straight off.

What I was intending with the attack was for it to surround us all.  Even though the plan was for us to split, I decided to throw all of us in to make it interesting.  Which is why I thought it was being rolled back when Kenod and Sorana acted as it had never happened.  

Maybe I should stop making major plot adjustments...

I think kenod on me are acting on this premise:

Your characters left ours alone without telling us where you're heading. Even though you did a roll back on the fight, for us you still left our characters behind. We've never been part of the attack, so there was need for us to change our behaviour.

Hey guys, so I was thinking about the origin of our world and its corresponding mythology, and trying to make one that would fit. So I turned to the best example of worldbuilding in a fantasy setting known to man: The Silmarillion and the Lord of the Rings. I looked through that and was inspired to suggest a few things.

The first, is how the world was founded.

The idea I have now, is that For some reason there were a bunch of people in the alleys, from all the guilds. This would maybe be a few people from present day alleyverse. They would be walking, and then the DA would have another random black hole, or dimensional collapse that would leave them stranded on a barren rocky planet with nothing but what they had on them.

The planet would be the original version of jörð. All it would have would be Ritual Magic and the leylines/investiture crystals.

Through one mean or another, our people would discover ritual magic, (probably via Maq, who can see the entirety of the spirit realm.) they would use this power to connect them to the planet and use the ley lines for sustenance, like the Dor, giving them immortality. They would proceed to basically reconstruct the world, as any path back to the alleyverse would be lost. They would become the original gods, the Valar of Tolkiens world (arda). They could build up the world to where it is now, essentially saying that they will stay out of it and let people live their lives as much as they can.

If we want to iron this out, and pursue it further, I have thought about how we can do it using ritual magic and have the details, but If we want to start it as a parallel plot, I can also explain it in character.

I figured that if I included all of the details it would bog down the post.

Or, if you guys don't like the idea, we can not do it.
