“Actually eating is important,” Dan pointed out dryly, then said, “I’m going to go get you something.” He was tempted to go and get a rabbit to see what Shae’s reaction would be, but decided against it and stood up, walking vor to the edge of the roof and flying down, then returning with food for Shae a minute later.

Shae smiled, still feeling oddly ashamed of himself. He promised himself he'd at least eat all three meals most days. He knew he'd still forget now and then, but... he'd try. He took the food, beginning to eat and humming softly as he did so. "Do you want to make sparring a regular thing? I need the training, and you could probably use the practice. Besides, it was fun." He smiled, looking at him as he ate.

“Sure,” Dan said. He was a tiny bit offended that Shae thought that Dan needed practice, but he didn’t say anything. He waited for Shae to finish his food.

He smiled. "Thank you... I know I need practice too. My da always said that skill died without practice..." He admitted, humming softly to himself as he finished the good and set the plate aside, smiling up at Dan. "You feel okay? You were out of it for hours..." He chuckled, blushing as he smiled and remembered it all.

“I was laying on my back, which hurts because it puts my wings at a weird angle,” Dan said, sitting down again. “But other than that, I’ve never felt happier.”

He sighed, smiling still. "Okay... I'll try to do it on a bed or something next time. Sound good?" He smiled at him.

“Lovely wording there,” Dan said, trying to keep a straight face.

He looked up at him, confused. "What? What do you mean?" He had no clue what he'd just said or how others might misinterpret it. He had a very innocent mind. 

[Sherlock Holmes he/him]

“You said something that could be misconstrued as a sexual reference, if I didn’t know you better,” Dan explained calmly.

He blushed, looking down sharply. "Oh..." He cleared his throat, biting his lip nervously. "Okay... I... I didn't mean it like that... though..." 

[Sherlock Holmes he/him]

“Yeah, I know,” Dan said. He scooted a little bit closer to Shae.

He sighed, a little relieved. "Why is everything in this world so sexualized?" He didn't notice Dan getting closer, though he should notice whatever Dan try to do.

"Probably because that's how species continue as a whole," Dan said, and moved a little closer to Shae.

He rolled his eyes. "I know that, but it doesn't mean everything is about sex. I mean, seriously? A bed can be somewhere you sleep- that's it's main function! Why can't it just be somewhere you sleep first and be something sexual second?"

"To be fair, you also said 'did it' on a bed," Dan pointed out now, his face now only a foot away from Shae's.

He blushed turning to glare at Dan only to freeze at how close he was, his blush deepening as he suddenly lost his train of thought.

"Forget about that," Dan said, "and be alive with me for a minute, okay?" Dan leaned forward and kissed Shae, really hoping that nobody tried to interrupt them this time.

He blushed, eyes closing more on instinct that intention as he kissed back, easily obeying and forgetting the rest of the world for a while.

Dan sat back after a minute, grinning. "I just wanted you to stop talking about irrelevancies. Also, I love you."

He blushed, his mind still rebooting. "I love you too..." He moved a bit closer to Dan, then leaned against him, managing to smile slightly at the warmth in his chest.

Dan wrapped his arms around Shae and smiled. "Yeah, being able to say that to someone feels pretty great, doesn't it?"

He nodded, humming softly. "Yeah... it does. Especially when I can make you consider into adorableness with just a bit of rubbing. I think I might learn massage if it makes you feel that good." He chuckled, smiling.
