Shae nodded, smiling up at him and biting his lip nervously. "I will... I want this to work, and I won't let me being scared to tell you things lead us into something we can't fix..." He meant it.

"Yeah, I want this to work too," Dan said, and ate another fish. "Anything else annoying about me that I should be conscious of?"

He chuckled. "Not that I know if right now... I'll probably learn things later o, but I'll let you know as I figure them out. For now, I think you're pretty much perfect." He smiled, blushing. "What about me?"

"Pretty much perfect," Dan said, rolling his eyes. "Though you're kind of submissive most of the time. It doesn't matter that much, but you are."

He blushed. "What? I... I guess I am... but would you it any differently? Would you rather I be d-dominant...?" He was curious, and a bit embarrassed.

"Not really, it's just something I noticed," Dan said. "I mean, if you were dominant then we'd have probably killed each other by now, so I prefer you the way you are."

He blinked, biting his lip and looking down. "Ah... B-but... you like it, and... you don't like it? I... I'm confused..." He looked up at him, hoping he'd try to explain.

He blinked. "So... you like that I'm... submissive?" He tested the word, as if for the first time. He imagined himself as submissive, and the image fit. Though, there was one thought that popped into his mind at that that had him blushing and looking at his food as he ate almost mechanically.

"Ooh, what was that," Dan said, leaning forward and grinning. "You thought of something."

He blushed harder. "It is nothing you or I will be concerned with for at least a few months..." He bit his lip, still deep embarrassed by the idea and trying to push it back down into his subconscious.

Dan's mouth opened slightly. "Oh, right." He knew what Shae meant, so he sat back. "Have any more fish?"

"Sure," Dan said, then sniffed the air and stood up sharply. He walked over to the place Shae had stolen the fish and got a few more. He went back to where Shae was sitting and sat down opposite him.

Shae blinked, then looked at him, blushing slightly- though he looked almost... disappointed. "Ah... I see. Sorry, I just... thought you'd want me to go get more..." He shook hi head, humming and watching him eat.

“It’s easier for you if I just do it myself,” Dan pointed out, eating another fish. At this point, he was full, so he set the remaining two on the table.
