Steel Inquisitive he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) If you had to pick a Shard to be the sole shard of your planet.... Who would you pick? (With the assumption that were talking about the shard not the vessel.) I personally would vote for Endowment. Seems like the most chill shard, and least invasive. (Unless she's turning you immortal, which I'm okay with) Preservation might be an option.... But according to Ruin he would freeze everyone in place.... Not ideal. Cultivation would just be scary! You would never know what she's planning for mankind..... Edited December 10, 2018 by Steel Inqusitive 3
+Invocation Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) If any Shard goes, probably the hinted Ingenuity Shard. If only ones we've seen count, I'd probably go with Harmony. Cultivation is a close second for me, since I like watching things change. Edited December 10, 2018 by Invocation 2
Calderis he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Absolutely Cultivation. Don't care what's she's planning, I'll play. 3
Turtle373 he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Cultivation, she's growth and that might occasionally be bad growth but its probably mostly going to be good 1
+Extesian he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Autonomy, man. Freedom, man. I won't have The Man tell me what to do, man. 4
Rasarr she/her Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I'm with you on Endownment. Magic powers for everyone and a chance to come back from the dead? Sign me up. 1
+Sorana she/her Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Devotion, if a splintered shard is an option, too. From what we know I think it could be alright to live with devotion as god. 5

Well I cant argue with that logic I would choose Honor, but knowing my personality, it would be less about keeping oaths and more about respect Edited December 10, 2018 by Ookla the Gray 1
+Zodiac he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Honor started going crazy towards the end though. I would choose Harmony, because eventually we will have trouble interacting with the planet and that fine by me.
RShara she/her Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) Endowment or Harmony, for me. I really like the idea of Breaths (and immortality) but Harmony is just so benevolent. I really like Pathism. Edited December 10, 2018 by RShara 2
+Trellium he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Autonomy or Endowment. Anyone else is a threat to free will.

I think you're overestimating the benevolence of Autonomy. Oh, and I'd go with Honor. But I'm also the guy who actually likes Skybreakers, so y'all can probably guess my opinion on oaths. 2

Ripheus23 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Well we seem to live in a world where Ruin is in charge, so... I'll play "Ruin's Advocate" 1
Jace21 he/him Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Autonomy, Harmony or Endowment. From the glimpses, admittedly small, that we have had of Autonomy and Endowment's worlds, these 3 seem to interfere the least, or at least benevolently.
scudalarm Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 If Autonomy is indeed the Shard in the Drominad system, the way the world runs feels very "Man vs Nature". Alternate choice is Endowment, everybody has the potential to be a magic user which is cool.
Weltall Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I'm going to add my vote to Endowment. Even without factoring in Edgli's 'I'll stay off your lawn if you stay off mine' attitude towards the other Shards, you've got a Shard whose focus is all on giving things to other people. I figure that's harder to go wrong with than a lot of options. Also, both Hoid and Brandon would be tempted by this Shard and if the God Beyond Himself thinks that way... 7 hours ago, Zodiac said: Honor started going crazy towards the end though. Tanavast was also dying at the time so I think we can excuse his going (slightly) mad at the end.

Yeah, Leras did much the same, except the only thing left was his already weakened remnant, didn't he? A long death like that probably messes you up in the head.
Steel Inquisitive he/him Posted December 11, 2018 Author Posted December 11, 2018 I could be tempted to vote for Devotion.... But we haven't seen how she would lead without Dominion.... So probably stick with Endowment.
+Zodiac he/him Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I'm almost positive that Tanavast was going crazy because of his shard
Calderis he/him Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Am I the only one who sees Endowment in a negatively light Shardwise? Yes, it's benevolent, but it also requires giving of it's subjects. Awakening can't exist without legions of drabs, condemned to near perpetual sickness and depression. For every "gift" there is a cost. 1
