old man moomba he/him Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 (edited) Dwig burst through the line of Precursors, firing a laser pistol behind him as he ran towards the seige equipment. He holstered the pistol, pulling his rifle off his back. He aimed through the scope at some of the guards, attempting to incapitate them. He put the rifle back and Pushed on the nearby equipment, shooting backward in a low arc. He waited until he had reached the highest point, then dropped a nail and Pushed on it. He rocketed into the air and his momentum put him at a slight angle. Dwig increased the angle, shooting forwards until he hit the ground. He landed on his feet, armor taking the brunt of the impact and ran towards the Path to Hell, tapping Speed. A rooster tail of dust followed him as he sprinted towards the base. Dwig came up to the edge of the structure and knocked on the wall. Edited December 31, 2018 by Dr. Dapper
+Ark1002 Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 Quote Well, in that case, he is now 5-6 months, due to the time difference, and as your family is special, he would have it.
+Sorana she/her Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 "Thanks." Lena called at Gonev and stepped behind him. "I think this is a missunderstanding. I am a business partner of Crow's." She could at least try to buy Pry more time, or distract the marine should Gonev have a plan.
+Ark1002 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Uh... he's flying through the air attempting to tackle you. @Sorana

They also have Hellguns, Chain Weapons, and las weapons. I did not fire relativistic projectiles. That is something moving at 80% the speed of light. These are very near the edge, bt are not at said edge. 50% is not fast enough to create a massive explosion. They would be a very large hit, and probably an explosion. @kenod I think you misunderstood how fast a projectile has to be moving to release that much kinetic energy. What have I missed?

He smiled what he hoped was reassuring before turning his attention back to the Marine. He's quite alive and well. Gonev pulled her out of the way when the guy jumped, don't know if you saw. Your guy fell on the ground and hit air. The Acute's have the honor of having a very talented family friend, Ofrira. He's a tailor who also teaches them all many interesting things - you'll find him mentioned in Pry's history and CDS, I'm not making any of this up. Eon has never met with him and benefited from that experience. So to, he isn't extremely extraordinary yet. Also, out of curiosity I did some more research. 4-8 months is when they can start eating normal food. Eon is nowhere near that if we strictly follow the canon of what I've written. which we really should. He'd have been maybe one month by CDS and at most 3 months now. He's pushing reality by being alive. Cut him some slack in the other special departments. They're already being strained. The kid is ALIVE, that ought to be enough to make you happy. Sorry. @Ark1002 Edited January 1, 2019 by Silva
Darth Woodrack he/him Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 (edited) Quote Oh, and @Ark1002 I need to ask again; where did you get these hyper advanced AIs, that are not physically, or cosmerely, possible? And seriously, what did I miss? Just saying this: Precursors are not Redshirts, you cannot just slaughter them. They are all highly trained soldiers. You want to slaughter someone, use the super lifeless. Or chasers. They aren’t really fighters. Edited January 1, 2019 by Darth Woodrack
+Ark1002 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Well, faced by someone more trained, better weaponed, sronger, faster, and what is essentially shardplate, yes, they will be massacred.
Darth Woodrack he/him Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Ark answer my questions. Also: two things: what is sronger and massacre and slaughter are two different things. One is Masan murder, which won’t happen, and the other is complete and total defeat. Slaughter is possible, massacre is not.
+Ark1002 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Ah, sorry, wrong word. I apologize.
Darth Woodrack he/him Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Like Masan instead of mass. Stupid auto correct. Answer the questions!
+Ark1002 Posted January 1, 2019 Author Posted January 1, 2019 Quote A bunch of people are inside, that's all you missed. I'm not using those, like said, provided you stop using equally unrealistic siege machines.
Silva Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Never mind. It's not just amazing he's alive, it's a storming miracle. Look what I just dug up. On 11/13/2018 at 9:52 PM, Silva said: Pry thought back to the spanreed she’d recieved not long ago. It was now or never and she knew she had to. She bit her lip, wondering how to phrase what she was about to say. “Two years ago my ninth sibling was born. I’ve never met him, there’s always been something going on preventing me from visiting. Yesterday, my tenth sibling was born. He’s weak and my sister told me they’re worried about him surviving. It’s scary and while what’s happening here is important to me, I can’t live my life without ever meeting my little brother if he...” she trailed off. “What I mean to say without all the details is that I’m going to Scadrial for a visit. I don’t know how long I’ll be gone, but I will try to get back.” Pry swallowed. There. She was good. Saying it aloud made it sink in a little more. Her newborn baby brother could be dying at that moment. The least she could do was be there. That much she had to do. He was barely one day old when Pry left the other side of the world. Then, max two week journey to land even though she did go with the Vikings which cuts down a week normally. We'll pretend she went slow and it took her half a week to get home from Alleycity. He's two and a half weeks old by CDS. Hellbent would have come at most a week later since there's no way the parents would have been away so long from all the children. Eon is barely two months old. He would be dead since there's no way formula was brought for him or that he was getting the care he needed. This just keeps getting more impressive by the minute. If, in addition to being alive, he also was developing quickly, Eon will grow up to be ridiculously powerful and OP by every definition. Which wouldn't work for Era 3, so... The only argument you could try to pull now to get the movies to work is that babies grow and develop a lot in the first few months. Warning, I already have a counter. And again, sorry. When it comes to the Acutes I'm a tad defensive, as you may have noticed.
Darth Woodrack he/him Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Quote Today’s military has railguns that are just like this, the only difference is that these are mounted to tanks, and aimable.

Darth Woodrack he/him Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 A regiment of Precursors charged into the tower, and all the other members of the army became frozen in time, and invincible, because their control is on mobile, and can’t deal with it at the moment. He kept up the act, hoping someone somehow would save him from this. He was revolted by the whole ordeal. The stench of blood nauseated him, but he couldn't halt suddenly for fear of suspicion. Warmer swallowed. Even the sugar wasn't helping. The cookies were too sweet. Sickly so. If this kept up he had a feeling he'd wind up barfing. On Crow. A giant, armored in bone-white Shardplate and a forest green tabard, stepped out of a mass of writhing Investiture behind the boy. It wore a helm shaped like a human skull, and carried weapons in both his hands- a double barreled bolter in the left, and a golden mace in the other. The helm's leering grin fell on the child as the giant peered down at him. In an impossibly deep and resonant voice, it spoke a single word. "Run." Edited January 1, 2019 by Grey Knight

The army infroze and Dusk looked at Walker, "So, how are your piloting skills recently?" "Good. Why," Walker said, glancing over. "I have a plan," Dusk said. "Oh no," "What? I just need you to get in that modified eagle, put on the flight suit that is wired into the plane so the plane will have super speed. Then you can fly a couple dozen troops up there, and then we will attack from the top down," "That's... Insane..." "Why? Let's get some volunteers. WHO WANTS TO GO ON A POSSIBLE SUICIDE OP!?!"
