There’s a reason humans are involved in courts like with judges and juries etc.

There’s all sorts of things in laws about how to balance these things. We just get into human disagreements about when they apply

I would like to point mainly at petty criminals and billionaires are prime examples of the letter of the law and the spirit of the law failing. Are billionaires evil people? Yes. Do petty criminals go against the law? Yes. Are those 2 things the same? No.

I get how you think that the humans interpreting the law are always in the wrong, and never the law, but I find that view to be flawed (And very religious, but I digress). The law is imperfect. There is no good, official way to say 'these people deserve jail/punishment, and these don't' and not make anyone angry, or spark up debate. The spirit of the law is punish bad things. But in practice, not only do people get away with bad things (completely legally) or people get punished for doing nothing wrong.

Ideally, the intent behind the law would be a good one. But my point is, what if the letter of the law leaves way for a loophole, while if you merely interpreted it with the spirit said loophole would not exist. The 'technically legal' stuff.

Yeah, I think sometimes the letter of the law can be wrong. The question seems quite flawed.

The letter of the law is literally trying to communicate the spirit of the law via language. Law becomes increasingly complex as more nuance is added to the flawed language that communicates this law. We have courts that allow human being to interpret the nuances of this law, for one reason, because a human being can make a decision based on the objective truth of morality via internal conversation.
