No one seems to be a good match for their Shard, but that's what happens when you have to become a concept. And then you do, and there's nothing of the original you left and there won't ever be.

For another i really storming love Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, it’s my favorite of Brandon’s novels. And yeah, shards kind of suck
