The man who had followed him, to judge his performance, facepalmed and then shook his head. He'd seen a lot of bad missions, some good ones that still failed but this, this one was unique.

An explosion, alcohol and no success made in sum for a real bad impression. With a sigh he started working on his report, waited to see what the Underling would do next.

Tena, who had been in the city to wait for Ani, followed the guy who was judging Ani, holding Solstice. She saw Tia. "Oh, hi Tia. Been a while." 

Tia saw Tena and jumped. "Well hello there. Wow, is that your baby?! Can I hold her?" 

Tena smiled and walked over to Tia, passing her Solstice. "Yup. Her name is Solstice." 

"That doesn't seem like a name you'd pick," Tia said slowly, holding the baby wonderingly. 

"I didn't, I let him," she gestured over her shoulder at the unconscious Ani, "do it. It's a good name. Intimidating. Though I was hoping for something with Sheo in it." 

"Fair," Tia said. "So. Married to a guy." 

"I'm as surprised as you are," Tena said with a grin. "I never thought I'd get so much as married, especially not to a man." 

"Yeah..." Tia glanced at Anthony. 

"He's a mess," Tena said, almost affectionately. "And I am going to hurt him for almost killing himself over this. Anyway, why theiving?" 

"Well, I was hoping for a better opportunity, but..." she shrugged, "things don't always work out. A bit of a retcon to our Kharbranthian days, wouldn't you say?" 

"Yeah. I can get you a job with the Ghostbloods, you know. I've been a member for a long time." 

Tia shrugged.

Anthony woke up, groggy. Dammit I looked like a fool. Shouldn't have gotten myself drunk.

Tena glanced over at Ani. "Yo. Ani. How ya feeling?"

He blushed. "I screwed up bad. I knew drinking was a bad idea. I could have done it, but..."

His blush deepened.

Tena slapped him sharply on the side of his face. "Correct. Don't repeat this mistake or your punishment will be worse. Capiche?"

The one observing the situation left his spot in the sun and slowly walked over to them. The wife of the new recruit knew the thief.

He suppressed a smile, it was obvious who was wearing pants in this relationship. But then married to Tena, the Underling had guts. He never met her, but like every survivor of the war, she was famous within their ranks.

"Good day, ma'am."

He bowed in front of Tena.

"If you don't mind, could I have a word with your husband?"

"Go ahead," Tena said, taking a step back, and one towards Tia. Tia handed Solstice back at Tena's expression, and Tena cradled her baby as she waited for the Ghostblood to address Ani.

The man lifted Anthony off the ground stood him on his feet.

"Explain yourself, Underling."

"This is going to be amusing, I can tell," Tena said.

He looked up. "I... I got drunk. In every other way, I was successful."

He scratched the back of his neck.

"I even found her. But... my addiction acted up again."

"What you did," Tena said, "is you used explosives and other equipment without authorization, got drunk on paid hours, and groped at my friend's breasts. Quit making excuses." She turned to the Ghostblood authority. "I think he should do something simpler for the time being."

The man stared at Tena suprised by her harsh words. Unsure what to do he fidgeted with his hands, then nodded. He wasn't used to standing in front of a couple, especially not with one speaking against the other.

"Uhm, yeah. I guess your wife is right. Can you explain why you acted like that?"

Tena glared at Ani. "That is not an excuse. You are still responsible for your actions, and you weren't drunk when you decided to get explosives and get drunk." She sighed. "Back to the grounds. I have to talk to my friend and apologize for you."

"I see."

The man bowed to Tena again, wondered if he should take her with him to be questioned. Then he decided against it.

"Please tell your friend that we would prefer if she stopped robbing the inhabitants of this city."

Turning to Anthony he sighed.

"Please come with me. The mission is over."
