Lusk noticed the change of tone and focused on her words, his own tone becoming more serious.

“You have my word,” he said, seating himself opposite to her.

Zokora inclined her head in acceptance.

"Few know that the Ghostbloods are not only lead by a leader, but by a Triarchy."

She told him.

"They work together to lead this guild, each focussing on something different, but with one goal. Glory and power to the Ghostbloods."

"Right now there is an empty spot and our leader and the Righthand decided to offer it to you."

Lusk paused. He looked Zokora straight in the eyes, to judge whether it was a test or not, a lie or not. After holding the stare he spoke. “So, this is... what? An offer to lead the Ghostbloods, alongside the Righthand and Leader?” Was there a catch? There had to be a catch.

“What’s the catch?”

Zokora didn't flinch away from his glance. She would have second-guessed the choice if he had accepted easily.

"Lot's of work. Responsibility for all this."

She made a gesture indicating Oasis, the people living here.

"It's no easy position. But yes, it's an offer to lead this guild alongside our leader and the Righthand."

Lusk nodded, slowly smiling. They’d chosen him, to be the third member in their leadership circle. Him?

Thy must have really been desperate.

He chuckled. “Okay, I accept.” He looked around. “What now?”

Zokora opened her satchel and took out a folder. Looking through it, it took her a while to find what she was looking for. Leaving through the pages, she nodded after a while.

"A moment. I'll change you security clearance."

Taking out a device she fell silent for a while, moved her fingers over it, cursing in between, shook her head, but then she nodded.

"Follow me."

Standing up she walked towards the door and then headed through the inner complex, until she arrived at a small door.

"Try opening it."

Satisfied Zokora observed him open the door and then stepped inside. The room was larger than you would have expected, but safe for a large Oathgate like structure it was empty.

She walked over to the gate, gestured at a box at the side, where you would normally expect a place for a shardblade to activate it.

"Only the Triarchy can enter these rooms, walk through that gate. Them and those they grant special rights. If you wish to grant access to some of your staff, please keep in mind, that you have to renew it regularly. You can activate it by using your hand."

Lusk placed a hand where she gestured, smiling slightly. He could get used to this. “Where does it lead to?” He asked, gesturing to the oathgate-like structure.

“Someplace exciting, I hope.”

The gate in front of him started to glow, the moment his hand touched the box. Zokora walked towards it, motioning for him to follow her.

"Depends on what you think is exciting. A hideout, a place to live, if you wish to. A place for meetings."

Then she stepped through the gate, her face stoic. She disliked the gates, they always made her feel like her stomach was turned upside down.

They arrived in a large room. It was silent, save for the steps of a lifeless approaching them. Large windows lined the walls, showing but a blue sky, and a storm beneath them. Zokora stepped to the side, let Lusk leave the portal.

"We're up in the sky. These guys can hand over some technical details, if you want to."

"You have a set of rooms you can use as you wish. I can show you around, or you take a tour of your own. You can open the doors you're allowed to open using that hand of yours."

Up in the sky?

Lusk went to the nearest window and looked down. Indeed, there was a storm beneath them. “There’s been a floating base this whole time?” He looked down. “No need to show me around, I’ll figure it out.”

He looked at Zokora again. “Send my regards to the Righthand and the Leader.”

He turned back. What was his position even called? There was the Righthand, the Leader, and him. Was he the Lefthand? He shrugged. He would find something out.

Zokora inclined her head respectfully and then left him alone.

============

Someone walked up to Anthony and handed him a sheet of paper.

Your first assignment:

There is someone in Oasis who managed to elude our guards for a while. Find them, if possible discern their reasons and then capture them.

Anthony looked down at the paper. He was ready.

He stepped out the door, going to look for clues, first of all.

Tialin vaulted over a wall and jumped onto a roof on the far west edge of Oasis City. She smiled. Another successful robbery.

Anthony had heard of thievery, within Oasis. The lower Ghostbloods, or the retired ones. They knew of it. So he waited, watching.

And finally, there was another robbery.

He quickly got in his clothes, as a repairman. He climbed up onto the roof, hammer in one hand, nails in the other.

Then he saw her. "Hello, ma'am. Fancy seeing you here."

He looked up, seemingly confused.

The moment she was out of sight, he tore of the clothes, and began to bound across the roofs.

He had traced the heat signature here. Into the sewer? He backed away. He put darker coloring on his face, then a janitor uniform. He followed, whistling, in a unsuspicious way. He seemed completely unaware of the thief.

You wouldn't even have known what she looked like, or the fact that she was the one. There's loads of people in that city, you can't rely on one heat signature to be accurate.
