Wait a minute- atium? I know you used it during the 7 Day War, but it seems unrealistic to still have it after 16 years. Not to mention that it's a little OP.

Devaan has had a small stockpile since the catacendere, he gets Rathior to burn it in his cards, it's not something he uses often. But if you don't want me to use it (I think I specified I'm only dodging because I'm tapping speed, but if you'd rather I don't then thats fine.

"I don't know if there's a spanreed around."
Damaya answered.
"The Library. There could one be there. Pallas would know."
She gestured into the waystop.
"I never saw him leave, so he should still be there."
Without waiting for an answer she turned around ran into the Waystop, screaming Pallas name.

YES it's showtime time, Carapace Armour and a heavy bolter seems reasonable!

| also @Sorana I like how Damaya just started running and screaming Pallas' name, that looked really funny in my head XD

Araha jogged after Damaya, her Master told her the basics of reading and writing, so if there was a spanreed and no one knew how to operate that, she'd be around. It wouldn't be a problem if it was other forms of communication.

Gonna have some 3rd person omniscient POV elements for clarity.

The thunderhawk finally arrived at the Waystop and Deras saw a battleground before him. He wasn't sure if he should help and which side, then the thunderhawk started unloading on a side, the more numerous and heavily armed side. Deras took the last of his syringes and jammed it into his neck where the artery was. The ichor-alcohol started circulating immediately, super-charging the Lifeless' regeneration. The marines of the thunderhawk were kind enough to provide him with thick armor, though not as large as those used by the marines themselves, but reasonable nonetheless. He activated his necklace-helmet and prepared himself, he didn't know how to designate targets like Devaan did, but he just needed the helmet for protection.

When the thunderhawk came to a stop, Deras positioned himself and used the inertia to launch himself forward and through the sky, he summoned the shardblade, and held it in one hand, bracing it flat against his shoulder where he was about to crash, crashing into one of the Vindicators, which dented its aluminum armor and threatened to topple it over.

These Chaos Marines looked human but they weren't. That was what Deras told himself, making him deadlier without hesitation.

He recovered instantly from the fall, the armor preventing him from receiving any real damage and what internal damage he got was quickly repaired by the regeneration. He threw the shardblade at one of the nearby Chaos Marines at such a speed that it dented his power armour and embedded Valiance onto him, only being stopped by the aluminum in his armor.

Deras started unloading the heavy bolter in his other hand, Several marines mowed down by the arm-sized caliber shells and piercing their armour. The Iron Warriors were artillery and siege specialists, great at destroying fortifications but piss-poor in close combat, but piss-poor didn't mean they were useless.

A hulking marine with a Power Fist stood in front of Deras and took a stance. "Come vittle Imperial Gua--" Deras spared no moment and just gunned him down with the heavy bolter, head-to-toe. That was the first marine to react to his blitzkrieg, and now his position begun being bombarded by bolt and las. He de-summoned Valiance and grabbed the Power Fist of the man he'd just gunned down and started running, enhanced feet carrying him fast enough that most of the hail-fire missed, and what didn't miss, was either caught by the helmet, embedded into the Carapace Armour, or hit him, but he regenerated it quickly.

He ran, then circled back toward the tank, skidding in his tracks before he picked up speed again. He let the heavy bolter swing on its harness and wore the power fist. He then summoned Valiance on top of the power fist while re-wielding the bolter, shooting at everything shooting at him, taking down even more marines and the less armoured cultists exploded in sprays of blood. Not all his shoots hit, mind, but there were just so much of them that it didn't really matter whether he missed.

He drove the shardblade edge first into the tank, the combined strength of him, the Power Fist, and the indestructibility of the blade meant that it tore through the thick aluminum plating with ease, and into the steel underneath. The thing about aluminum was that while it negated most Investiture, it was an absurdly weak metal.

The sword embedding deep into the tank, but not killing anyone inside. He let go of the heavy bolter again and started heaving the tank, using the sword as leverage, and both his power-fisted hand and regular hand and, lifting with his legs and torso as he begun to be pummeled by weapons fire, flipped the tank on its side. He begun running around again, some of his armour shredded, and threw the power fist at another Chaos Marine and picked up a fallen bolter.

He let Valiance dissipate as he kept running around, firing volley after volley of small and heavy bolts alike.

Yeah definitely! Also after this fight, the Panthers are gonna look like COMPLETE pushovers XD

"That I can see, yeah." Araha responded to the man, "help as much as we can, and we can't very well take on tanks and probably an army of Chaos Marines no matter how strong our Investitures are." That truth frustrated her, but as long as she could help, she would.

XD yeah, he's as strong as like a Kolossal or at least a Koloss because of the spikes: Two human spikes, two parshendi spikes, and his boosted regeneration stopping his really dense muscle from tearing. I planned for his main weapon to be a RARDEN which is a real life auto-cannon that's usually fitted with tanks, I also thought about a GAU-8 Avenger, but thought it was too heavy, though maybe not too much when he gets a certain custom armor I'm also planning for him

This is a wonderful thing to wake up to, guys.

Thanks a lot.

Yzabet stared at the violence, wishing that she could go throw up again. Sighing, she breathed in as much Stormlight as she could, summoned Jael, and summoned her shardplate.

"It's been a long time." She muttered, then threw herself off of the hillside in front of the Waystop. Yzabet bounded over simmering pools and eruptions of steam, moving as only an Edgedancer could.

Inside of the Waystop, Pallas rushed to his and Yzabet's room and hit a button with a big #42 on it.

It was the button to summon TUBA.

OOOOHHHHHHHH SHOOT,

though that might not be as necessary anymore since the current people are managing to thin their numbers quite well, and the Vindicators should already be stopping their fire so that they can turn on the more immediate threat detroying their flanks.

Well, Pallas is basically my younger brother. In this situation, unable to do anything to help and scared because of all of the space marines, he would hit the button. Yzabet wouldn't, but Pallas would. Practically no one in TUBA has been on since yesterday afternoon, so no one will answer anyway. It should work out okay.

Hah!

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT, FOOLS!

The Vindicators' cannons boomed again, sending explosive shells crashing into the Waystop. Though the armor held, one of the shells burst into the interior, landing right between @Sorana and @Cyanic.

The Vindicators' sponsons blazed away at the enemy around them, firing streams of bolter shells and bursts of plasma. The fallen Vindicator's hatch popped open, and an Iron Warrior stuck his head out.

He aimed his plasma gun right at Deras's head, and pulled the trigger.

----------------

But with all the explosions and shouting, no one could hear the quiet whine of the anti-Chaos turrets as they activated and turned towards the back of the Waystop...

@Grey Knight well then. I guess we do need the TUBA guys. >:C | @Sorana I think the implication is that it'll explode.

Araha was blown back, as the shell in front of her exploded. At that moment she only knew pain as the explosions seared much of her body, and injured much of her. She screamed and fell backward. Though there was still some dregs stormlight within her, which started re-working on her body, she looked up from where she lied, fear started surfacing. Was Damaya okay?

Silas ran up and out of the Perpendicularity, tapping steel and taking the long way around the Chaos forces. He had brought along his combat saxophone, and finding the place with the most echo outside, began playing Kenny G's Songbird as loud as he could. His saxophone magnified the sound, making it echo throughout the helmets of the Iron Warriors.

forgot about Deras' part

@Grey Knight

The plasma shot hit the necklace-helmet and melted some of it, but it stayed strong. Deras ran over to the Chaos Marine that just shot him, a pool of glowing, bubbling liquid started pooling around Deras' feet, angerspren. Several small red flame-looking things burst into existence beside Deras' head as he felt anger. Fury. Something new. Furyspren. He heard a rhythm, like drums for battle.

In a moment, he trained the heavy bolter on the Chaos Marine's head point blank, and fired it, obliterating his head in a shower of blood. He picked up the plasma gun himself and started discharging it at nearby Chaos Marines, his other lighter bolter ran out of bullets, and his heavy bolter close behind.

He emptied the last few heavy bolter rounds at nearby cultists and marines and threw it at them. He re-summoned Valiance and charged a few remaining marines, using the sword as cover and still firing the plasma gun around.

Oh well... ;) I guess she won't be looking for Pallas soon

Suddenly there was a loud noise and then a wave of heat and fire threw Damaya into a wall. Pain raced through her body. Hot, blazing pain, unlike anything she had ever experienced before. She screamed, but her scream was lost in the whirlwind, turning her mind upside down. There was nothing but pain, searing through her mind, an agony that blacked out every thought, every piece of herself. She hung there for the smaller part of a second and then fell down to the ground. the impact hit her burned body with force and her world turned black.

Rilu elsecalled in, confused at what was happening. He was needed here, for something. He walked over to someone, asking what was happening.

Anyone can respond. I have a general idea of what is happening, but not specifics.

Silas finished playing Through the Fire and the Flames, then began speaking to Rilu. "Chaos Marines. Basically all you really need to know. Just defend the Waystop and make sure that nobody good dies, if you can. Kill as many marines as possible, though."

A shadow crossed the threshold.

...

Silence.

...

A black-armored Chaos marine stepped into Dayne's view, and knelt in front of the prone Coinshot. Ghostly warpfire ran across his armor, quietly echoing with the screams of the damned.

"Shhh," it said, reaching towards the twisted sword on its back. "It'll all be over soon."
