Syen looked over the soldiers waiting for her decision and a thought entered her mind. She didn't know where to employ them best, but that didn't mean, that she couldn't use them somewhere else.
"Mio."
She spoke his name quietly and walked a few steps away form the discussion of Devaan and Solace.
Essun followed her and wrapped herself around her leg. She seemed strangely playfull in this mess. Maybe it was, because Syen finally spoke more than a few words. She pushed the thought away, not wanting to spend time pondering. She could do that afterwards.
"Keep some of the men here, to secure this street. Tell the rest to search the houses. Someone always hides instead of going to safety. And deploy some men to watch the streets around us. I want to know at least a part of what's going on."
Mio saluted and went away barking orders. Silently Syen turned around and stood close to the two men. She didn't really listen to their words, thinking about what else she could do here.

Nei'an looked over the other Cognitive Shadows hanging around.

"Alrighty, how's everyone doing? I hope no one's wondering how I came back to life because that would mean I would have to explain something in detail, and I'm not in the mood to do that if what I'm explaining actually happened. That being said, happy, happy boom-boom, swamp swamp, swamp.

Hey Gancho, what did Naermen have on her that I looted? 'Cause I got everything, even if I don't know how to use it.

"Holy grizzly!" Tena shouted. This day was proving to want to drive her insane. "Now you're dead too?" She glared at Mace's ravaged corpse. "What am I supposed to do now?"

A dog walked over to her, wagging its tail. It was a Labrador Retriever with a spike in its chest, no doubt spiked by Mace. It looked like it was thinking hard.

"You should meet my dog," Tena said to the Lab. "He's just as judgmental as you look right now."

@AxeliustheGreat a coupla packages full of deathants ( they will die within seven hours, btw :) ) a coupla knifes, some magic sand, shperes, vials of Iron, coppermind, the like.

Oh, and a magical bomb that cannot be defused, cannot be left behind by your character, and explodes in five minutes.

Tena poked through the contents of her pack, looking at all the stuff she'd looted from Naermen, scratching between the Lab's ears. Three wriggling packages of deathants, a few daggers, some sand, cold hard cash, vials of iron... ooh, copperminds. The question was, of what type? She wondered absently how to use them, then put all the stuff back in pack, except for the deathants, which she figured she could throw at something during the day, and one of the daggers.

She trotted off, and the dog followed her, oddly. Some Kolossal were asking for a fight in the next alleyway over.

To remind everyone exactly what Titan is:

Spoiler

Titan

Appearance: Like the Kolossal Commander, but pitch black, golden swirling patterns like singers, with a purple aura and glowing red eyes. It has six arms, and is 35 feet tall

Hemalurgic Abilities: Strength (10x), weight reduction, F-gold, A-gold, A-pewter (2x), F-pewter, F-zinc, A-zinc, F-steel, A-steel, A-Iron, Division Surge (5x),  Shardaxe bond (x6), intelligence (x3), can create a dimensional warp, connecting alleys (allows teleportation in Alleyverse), can blast extreme cold or heat from mouth.

Other notes: A research project abandoned by the DA because it was growing too powerful, it was based off of the Kolossal Commander, made to be the third level. They realized it was growing to powerful, and stopped, having made only one prototype. It has all the abilities of a Kolossal Commander, and more. It leads a huge horde of abominations. It rides a chasmfiend.

Titan learned what they were planning on doing. Nuking the city? How could he stop it... he pondered, and realized he couldn't. So he did the next best thing. Steelpushing and Ironpulling through the city, he yelled out what was happening, warning all he saw. "THE CITY IS GOING TO BE NUKED! GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!" He also compounded speed, taking spikes from any abomination bodies he found. He then pushed backed to the canton.

I'm 99% sure that there are no more citizens left in the Alleyvillage. They've been evacuated by different people at least three different times. The only people left are the suicidal people who are gonna die and the REALLY, REALLY, REALLY stupid NPC's.

A really stupid NPC was still watching an episode of the Longest Thread(Misadventures). In his house. In the Alleycity.

Somebody needs to save that guy! Anyone who watches/reads that is one of societies greatest contributors! Second only to the narrators of that thread.

The human planet drifted through space, orbiting its unremarkable sun. Three gas giants drifted in the void beyond. Comets whirled around the sun in a futile effort to escape its gravity well. Asteriods clashed in silent annihilation, and the corpses of dead gods flailed in idiotic stupor.

In every sense of the word, this system was entirely normal. It had always been normal. But no longer.

High above the human planet, The Honor of Maccrage ripped its way back into reality, emerging from a writhing maestrom of Investiture in the void. The rift closed behind the needle-nosed ship, leaving tendrils of glowing light in the void. She glided towards the planet, death on her wings.

The Exterminatus had arrived.

Yzabet stole a horse from a man selling horses to escaping NPC's and skedaddled to Bassopolis. They had a connection to the Roshar perpendicularity there, and it seemed like a good place to wait for all of this to settle down.

Tena picked up the Lab upon hearing the news and Steelpushed herself out of the city, and continued to soar until she reached a Perpendicularity to Scadrial, then switched into the Cognitive realm. The dog came with her into the realm, and she then transported to Scadrial.

She traveled more distance, left the dog at her ranch with her dog, telling them both sternly to stay there, then went back to the Alleyplanet. She stayed above the Perpendicularity, wanting to see the explosion of the planet recklessly.

Everyone in the beyond watched the events on a huge screen with surround sound. They also had cookies. And chocolate.

Kane summoned his helmet and began to run. He was fueled by Determination, the Dor, and Stormlight. At this rate, he would reach his Stormlight cache in an hour. Then, he could attack the spaceship.

"Rust and Ruin", KoTiel though. "Hey, you people do have a way for us to leave in time, right?" they yelled at the marine.

Nei'an sighed. If it was him out there, he would have stopped the bombing, then continued watching The Longest Thread (Misadventures).

He pitied the stupid NPC who was gonna die tho.

===========

It stood, wearing Naermen's form. It smiled, wearing Naermen's face. It laughed, bearing Naermen's voice.

But It was not Naermen. Naermen was mostly in the Beyond. It knew she hadn't stopped at the Cognitive Realm, like Nei'an. She was either in the Spiritual Realm or trapped inside her own body, unable to act save for the occasional defiance twitch of Its newly-found fingers.

It knew the risks of staying. It would soon leave. But first, It needed to have some fun.

A group of stupid NPCs was running in It's general directing. Good.

It approached them, smiling like nothing was the matter. The stupid NPCs, who really should have left earlier, slowed to a stop in front of It.

"Uh..." one of the NPCs said in a stupid-sounding voice, "Ya know, there'll be a bombing..."

"I know," It said in a tone of fake patience. "I need to experiment on the Rithmatists' abilities. What Naermen did intrigued me,"

They looked confused, as they were, as mentioned, stupid NPCs. "What?" said the 'leader' of the group.

"Bye," It said, then picked up a rock. The NPCs leaned forward as if to look and see what It was doing.

"What are you doing?" the same one asked. "And, uh... what did you mean by 'Bye'?"

"Yes," It said. "Bye-bye,"

It drew a small Line of Forbiddance across the surface of the stone, a small section of mostly-flat rock, then angled it so the line faced the NPCs. Then It swept the rock across their group, feeling a tug of resistance as the nearly-flat wall cut neatly through them, separating them at around the waist level.

When the halves of bodies had stopped toppling to the earthen floor, It inspected Its work. Its magic was working properly, It could see. It began laughing.

Then, still laughing in Naermen's voice, It disappeared in a flash of beige.

=========

"Darn!" Nei'an exclaimed. "It killed that dude watching the Longest Thread! I was hoping he'd make it!"

Wait, aren't Lines of Forbiddance blunt? I'm pretty sure they can't cut through people like that.

Also- harsh, dude. Cool, but harsh.

Having caught wind that the city was about to be nuked, Storm dismissed his plate and blade, And dug into his backpack. He pulled out a medallion, pressed it to his arm, and tapped the F-Steel reserve within it, running to the Ghostblood camp, which was being taken down (is that God modding? I just assume that they are leaving. I'll edit if I need to) hoping to find someone who could tell him more about what was happening.

@Jehoiada or @Sorana I guess. Or.. where has Mraize been?

People were running about the about-to-be-nuked city like bees flying around their hive, though the numbers were significantly lacking because of the various evacuations that had gone on. Most of the civilians would likely be on other worlds by now, escorted by the various nicer people among the Ghostbloods and TUBAers.

Something occurred to Tena. Why are we blowing this place up if we want to claim it? Seems sorta counterproductive...

The Ghostbloods and TUBAers could rebuild it though, somehow. Their new uneasy cease-fire would probably result in some sharing of resources, and somebody here had to have something that could turn back time or replicate the Alleycity.

Elkanah left with the rest of the TUBA personnel. Ferrilus will eventually make it to the Alleyplanet, but I have a few scenes of his journey and backstory I want to write first, to set him up.

The larger continent, Threnody (what is its name if it has one?)

"RUN!!!" Rilu's father said. The Evil had spread far enough to cover most of their house. Ferrilus, his mom, dad and baby sister were fleeing. The thing they were fleeing from defied description, similar to a overwhelming darkness, yet had more substance. They were running to the shoreline, trying to escape it, when something pulled on Rilu, and suddenly, he was somewhere else.

The sun was distant and dim, the sky was dark, and there was something malevolent coming his way, the same way the Evil had. A strange, metallic brown humonoid was standing on the edge of his vision, away from the Evil. Three lights were behind him, one slightly above another. Suddenly, the farthest one winked out, as the Evil consumed the flame, soon after, the other two vanished. Rilu turned and ran towards the distant figure. Whatever had happened was not good. After a while, he turned back. The Evil seemed trapped. All he could see was a flat plain, and that bronze figure, still at the edge of the horizon. His mom and dad, were they safe? Had they escaped? Or had they died to the Evil, and he was the lucky survivor? He had to find a way to get out of here. Maybe that person knew a way.

And thus, my new character's story begins.

yes, I retconned a bit, but it was for plot reasons. He will be a Willshaper, so he can travel to the CR, and I am saying that his Reacher had come directly from the Alleyplanet, so it could travel a bit outside of its normal realm.
