Ishek, sitting in a relaxed posture on one of those dastedly uncomfortable hospital chairs, regarded Laonin as he approached. "I wanted to help you" he replied tersely to the older mans question. Why can't you just be nice. You don't need to say it like that, why not say 'I was hoping I could help you rebuild the world with sunshine and rainbows and love for everyone!'? Oh nevermind, I'm not made for people. "I'm a feruchemist. I can provide the knowledge in my copperminds to assist you and I likely can stop others from killing you."

Ishek wasn't sure why people always beat around the bush when talking about things, he always found it easier to say what you want and want what you say. He waited for a reply from the old man.

Alask reappeared from his walk and waved to Ishek and Laonin, who appeared to be having a conversation. Walking around the hospital bed he made his way to the man who had been injured, the one who was apparently fine now.

"Hey," he said. "You alright? Maybe you can tell us who did that to you?"

Laonin listened to what Ishek had to say. The man seemed very sure of himself, which was always a good quality to have in some level of moderation. A Feruchemist eh, that could be useful. Couldn't hurt to have some muscle around either, though hopefully that need should never need be met.

"I appreciate the offer. I don't know a lot of detail as to how your abilities work, but I can see you being very useful to have around. Do you live in the city here? I know that my forge isn't much to look at, but if you would be so inclined I would be more than happy to offer a place for you to stay. That goes for the two of you as well." Laonin said all this, then gestured towards Alask and the man in bed.

"I could always see about fixing up the building next to mine as well. Based off the way it looks now it used to be a large house. Probably has plenty of room in it, I imagine that would be more comfortable than staying in the forge too. What do you think?"

Nekorb took the card from Alask. His hand shook as he read it. He laid back on his bed and let the card fall to the floor. What could it mean?

While pondering, he heard the man in the corner ask him if he wanted to live in a building he had fixed up. He nodded distractedly.

Alask looked at the card with a blank expression. You did this. What could it mean. Alask had seen the card first, was it addressing him? But it was in the man's pocket, so was it saying he did it to himself. "It's probably worth checking what other stuff you have in your pockets," he told the man. "We could find a clue there." This whole case was becoming very unique indeed.

He listened to Laonin talking about fixing up a building next to the Forge. "That would be great," Alask said. If he didn't live in the Forge, that would mean no worrying about waking up in the middle of the night and killing everyone because a fire was lit. "We can all be roommates together."

Alask looked around. "The doctor seems to have gone off, and our friend here looks better than before. Maybe we should go back to the Forge?" Besides, Alask didn't want to be here when his partners heisted the Hospital. That could mean them identifying him as a heist partner in front of Laonin, Ishek and the fallen man,

Nekorb turned towards the speaker. "I am fully healed now, except for my memory. All my pain..." He trailed off, suddenly remembering what had happened to the pain. His eyes widened. "The doctor! Is she alright?" He swept the covers off of his feet and jumped out of bed.

There seemed to be some disagreement about their next course of action. Maybe it would be best to stay here for the night. Let the doctors check him out in the morning. Just as Laonin was about to voice his opinion, the man on the bed leapt out of it and started voicing concern for the doctor.

"Thr doctor? Last I knew she was sitting in a chair, recouperating from her exertions. She seemed to be recovering well when we headed this way. Why? Is she in some sort of danger?" saying this, Laonin stood up, and walked over to the door, looking back down the hall the direction they had come. "She should be down the hall in this direction." he said, pointing.

Hearing the note of distress in the man's voice, Laonin turned towards him.

"What pain? I have absolutely no clue what is going on here. She was a healer, she should have been able to fix whatever was wrong with you instantly. Yet it took minutes of channeling power into you. And now you're saying it merely transferred to her? How is that even possible? Should we go look for her? Or do you think she was able to take care of it herself, or at least have another doctor take care of it for her?"

Lena waited for a while and then finally someone walked down to her. A woman, wearing an apron, neared her and smiled.
"You have something for me? And maybe want to work here?"
Lena nodded and handed over the herbs. They were harmless, but useful ones. The woman looked at the bundle and opened it. Taking a quick look at the herbs she nodded.
"Follow me."

Alask interjected.

“There are certain wounds,” he said carefully. “That are harder to heal than the average bruise. Spiritual damage in particular, nasty stuff. Almost unhealable.” He, of course, left out how he knew this. How he’d searched for years for a cure to his own ailment. No one would go near the guy with a Shade for a soul.

“Or so the rumours say.” He added.

Nekorb quickly walked over to the hallway, where he was stopped by a doctor. "No visiting patients without permission."

"But-"

"She is fine, and recovering." The doctor shot a look at Nekorb. "Your case was special, from what I hear. But," she continued, "you are now, as far as I can tell, fully healed."

Nekorb stood there for a moment before heading back to where the others were waiting.

Sorry. I have it set up to send me notifications when someone responds to this so I have no clue how I missed that you posted this yesterday.

After some discussion between the members of their strange group, it seemed the consensus was that going back to the forge would be the best course of action. So Laonin headed back to the forge, hoping the others were following.

Lena followed the woman upstairs and smiled when she was shown the way into a room, full of herbs and potions, spheres and ferucemical amulets. This was pure heaven. She stayed polite, nodded and listened to the explanations. The woman handed her some potions to identify and Lena had to admit, she only knew a small part of them. Poisons, that was where she a lot better. Still the woman stayed polite and thankfully Lena regocnized some of the potions they used to let people sleep and some pain-killers as well.
"Come back tomorrow and I will let you know our decision."
the woman finally told her and turned away to place the bottles she had handed Lena back on their shelves. Using the chance Lena stuffed some amulets in her pocket and two painkillers as well and then followed the woman down. Not really a lot of stuff, but now she knew where to go.

Lena appeared at the hospital's doors, pulling a cart behind her. On the cart lay an unconcious person, Nekorb. She let the cart stand in the hall and walked over to the reception.

"Hello. I need your help. My ... He is gravely hurt, but I think you might be able to save him. Could you maybe call for someone? I tried to stop his blood from spilling all over the place, but I'm note really trained in that sort of thing."

If I remember right you took over Kera? Otherwise I can always use Mira.

Yeah, I took over Kera. I still haven't gotten around to studying the D&D stuff, though, so... :D

The receptionist hit a button. "We're going to need one of the best down here, Joe."

She motioned for Nekorb to begin getting taken up.

Uhm... you could Mira an npc forger who looks after the hospital?

Lena trailed after them, looked around the hospital. If they left her alone with Nekorb, she could maybe grasp something. There was lots of useful stuff around.
